Hello MadMat
"seems 'Noront Resources' is still in exploration stage"
Yes, it does seem to be the case.
Just a brief look at the company:
- Have a few deposits in play, besides their 'Eagle Nest' deposit, the rest appear to be at a very early stage chromite plays.
- Eagle Nest, a PEA feasibility completed (in 2012) ".... feasibility study that concluded an underground mine could produce 15,000 tonnes of nickel, 8,500 tonnes of copper, plus 23,000 ounces of platinum and 89,000 ounces of palladium per year for more than a decade" Source https://financialpost.com/commodities/energy/electric-vehicles/inside-the-battle-to-own-a-prized-nickel-deposit-in-ontarios-remote-ring-of-fire
- From 2012 to 2021 struggled due to low metal prices and scarce resources, in some ways similar challenges that AMC faced over the years.
Also worth noting that in 2008 share price was CA$6
seems 'Noront Resources' is still in exploration stage
AMC was listed on AIM on March 15th, 2006, and during 2006, the nickel price reached $50,000.
Yes forest I think that was RY’s pitch when the nickel price was 4 quid and here we are.
Years and years and years on.I believed him then, that’s why I do’t now.
MD
m2m. Like most others, I have absolutely no idea. All I go on is that the the Administraive elite have set the world on a path to electrication and EVs need nickel. So sooner or later our deposit will become economically viable and somebody is going to want to secure it for their own ends.
This is going to the dogs.
Forest
Do you expect anything to happen before the TEO is approved?
"Time is on RY's, and our, side" - I think you will find most on here have been around for almost, or in some cases over a decade and another few years will feel like a century. So time isn't on my side, at least!
I would much rather a deal get done sooner rather than later.
The phoney war over scramble for nickel by the EV manufacturers is almost over as the semi-conductor industry gradually starts to unlock. Either someone offers to buy us out now or they will have to pay double in a year or twos time. The price of nickel is only going one way. Time is on RY's, and our, side

The only ‘get up and go’ RY has is from one bed to another. The one he sleeps in to the other by the pool.

“…..it's as though we don't exist is this nickel space at all……”
The FPX presentation posted the other day suggests otherwise.

Two things Joe, weak ceo and it’s Russia.RY’s get up and go seems to have got up and gone and we have to accept that the only money we will get will come from the east.
Pay day loans seem to be the only option in the west and they’re no use
MD
Looks like they are offering about 40p per share for Noront, which is coincidentally what I would be happy with for my AMC shares...
Precisely. RY should be screaming from the rooftops to come and get us. Instead, tumbleweed..
It does make you wonder what, if anything RY is doing.
"Mining heavyweight are racing to control more supplies of raw materials that are key to the transition to low-carbon energy sources."
With $billions of the very raw materials that these guys are seeking to secure for future battery production and more, we sit here with a miniscule M/C of £28 million, equal to 6 months wages for Lionel Messi.
Young should be shouting from the roof tops and banging on every decision makers door.
Where else in the region of China, Korea and Japan have this volume of Nickel sulphide with plenty of copper too ?
Not even a low ball offer, it's as though we don't exist is this nickel space at all and that's taking everything we do know into consideration.
"Right time, right place, right product" has been said for the last 24 months yet no fcuker is listening.
WHY ?
"Mining heavyweight are racing to control more supplies of raw materials that are key to the transition to low-carbon energy sources."
"Nickel is one of the key metals used in batteries for electric vehicles."
