FINALLY got the wife to get 17,742 shares today for her pension pot! She won't be selling any time soon, either!
Korg, As I understand it, Mr Varley HAD to sell some to stay below the 30% threshold. Are you owning any of these? Between us on this blog and those over on ADVFN, us pi's must own a few million of the 11m in free float, eh? They're becoming very hard to buy. I won't be selling any for a while that's for sure....
Why it went up on dorectors selling is a mytsery. Some people cant translate rns' imo.
having a good run, nothing can hALT it! Don't trust WH Ireland though, bad reputation, and have been fined for it too.
Agree, sja123. A really good base to start from. And once we get results we could see £2, £3 or even Mr Varley's £5 dream come true. Exciting times but having come out of the Tungsten debacle, I'm just a bit more wary now as SCSW tipped Tung as a 'multi-bagger' too. Got to see the numbers to see this really fly from where we are now. Liked your 'You must be joking' retort to BPC10 over on ADVFN by the way. SCSW said 'get in before the masses' and I'm glad I'm in (in a big way). DYOR blah blah....!!
Perhaps the current rise in the sp is all about Alt's POTTENTIAL. Alt's final results next April/May aren't going to be that spectacular, given that they'll only show two months (Nov & Dec 16') of going live. So we won't really see what the company's all about in hard figures (what Mr Market really likes) until next September's interims. The limited number of shares out there and a few more new contract announcements in the meantime should help keep the sp at present levels, though (I hope). Don't want any shorters getting their teeth into this one, a la Tungsten..............GLA DYOR, etc. Eggs.
So fee shares in issue. Test £1?
No further speeding tickets!
I jettisoned my Tungsten shares for ALT. Good chance of getting my money back and then some. Thanks SCSW. GLA. Eggs
Thanks for posting - gross margins already 78.9% so revenue increases will go to the bottom line ie. add profit as overheads already down. (may go back up at some point to push growth).. also market value is £ 34 million so SOME of this is factored in but definitely agree short term +£1 is on the cards.. gl
Thanks for your post - good to see no ramp attack here (atm). I guess what the company is saying is that there is no NEW reason to explain today share price movement - low free float and demand for shares appears the most obvious answer though gl
Speeding ticket issued as required by market... Reasons for increase: WH Ireland Have 300p tgt price in recent note SCSW described it as a "multibagger" Directors continually buying shares 42m shares, many now tightly held 2 x deals already announced this year with profit share Hints of more deals to come Genuine re-rate now company moving into profit and cutting costs 80% profit margins Software already in the bag, little R&D spending required One stop shop for Click2Ship solution for branded goods getting distributors attention Massive US market to address Hinted at other possible applications for its software solutions
Not in here myself but congratulations on an excellent sp rise.
Nice big buy at 54.04 :-)
BREAKOUT WOW
So Results today was a "positive" but no move upwards...? Is this company now just ticking over or is there any exciting projects that could propel their share price?
@Biff- Did you manage to get in & out of MOS yesterday/today? Had a look now 4p - 14p now back to 8p. That's a very dangerous game to play... Another decent rise in ALT today. Maybe this share does have some good foundations....
High today of 50p (on the Ask), and retraced to close at 39.5. That's still a fantastic daily rise of 5p, 15%. If the fundamentals are sound then the RSi score doesn't matter so much as it will improve once people catch up and start buying in. (Although the RSi could be used to sell out, and get back in with more Shares on a dip- if you're a very skillful/lucky Trader). Let's see what tomorrow brings....
Oh! Just catching up with the other posts and I see you posted earlier that you are aware of the tipsheet that tipped this. With you mentioning RNS etc., it led me to believe you were curious as to why the rise. The tipsheet doesn't just tip it - it gives it's fundamental reasons for tipping it. So yes there's more than just the power of influence of the tipsheet at work here. It's brought what ALT is up to - to a much wider investing audience than it's enjoyed so far. Do you want a negative amongst all this (was going to say hype - but there is no hype; there are positive reasons for the rise) - It's technically entered overbought territory because it's Relative Strength Index now reading RSi 93 !!!!! That's way over RSi70 by a country mile. But such is the support for this share I don't see a nasty retrace for a long while yet. But it must return below 70 at some point for peace of mind.
11.25. is target,,hopefully in next 30 mins then out at 13.75 which will be 845am ish i recon..
all makes sense now.. thanks... i think it will drop now, time to move on.. MOS im hoping..
@Biff- You going to invest in MOS? What's your target price here? @Velo- A rise of this size has to be off the back of more than just a tip, in Sharewatch or anywhere else. If that's all it is, this Share will drop-back. Hopefully for Investors there's underlying reasons for the rise. Let's see. And apologies if my calculating the rise from Friday Close rather than Monday Open was misleading. That was unintentional, but anyway it's been an impressive rise whichever way you look at it so far. GLA.
Alright, alright, DRichi - It falls to me to put you out of your misery as to the reason for the sudden out of character SP rise. Yes, there IS a reason for sure, and it's this - It was highly tipped as a buy in a subscription-only tip sheet that came out on the weekend. And you're 100% percentage gain only adds up if you bought during Friday or before that, of last week. Which doesn't hold quite same cache as '100% gain in just over a day'. So it closed at 22p on Friday. It opened at 29p/31p to buy or thereabouts first thing Monday morning and closed at 34.5p by close last night, Monday. So even if you bought first thing Monday morning it's nowhere near 100% - yet (but it will no doubt in due course :) So if you bought anytime THIS week the lowest you could have got in for would have been approx 31p - a truly impressive gain to date, yes, but not quite 100% yet - if bought any time this week so far.
Thanks
Just read through the MOS RNS. All good news certainly. Haven't done any calculations to see what the impact to SP should be though. On one hand it's always dangerous to buy on a Spike, on the other hand it could go upwards again tomorrow. Have a read through and work through some calculations, or at least ask the people on that board what the projected impact is to the SP. And don't believe the top couple figures people give you, it's too easy to get carried away on good news with these things. I don't have more spare cash to invest so MOS isn't for me. Will keep an eye on it though. It certainly looks interesting. Good luck if you go for it....
