In connection to the news from 3 days ago: http://www.pharmaceuticaldaily.com/joseph-gunnar-buys-additional-122500-akers-biosciences-common-shares/
Looks like a potentially lucrative agreement with a group of up to 300 New York hospitals to introduce the PIFA tests: Http://www.investegate.co.uk/akers-biosciences--akr-/rns/agreement-with-gnyha-for-pifa-heparin-pf4-test/201612190700081677S/ "John J. Gormally, Chief Executive Officer of Akers Bio, commented: "Akers Bio is delighted to have signed a three-year agreement with GNYHA, one of the premier group purchasing organizations in the United States healthcare sector. Their membership includes a diverse listing of prominent and large integrated delivery networks (IDNs) and hospitals. Enhanced access to GNYHA's network has the potential to dramatically increase domestic sales of our flagship product."
WTF?? Is going on? Great RNS, talk of an extra £8.54 per share and it's dropping?
nm
I'm hanging.
it's lonely here
Confident the SP will tell a different story tomorrow once the news has been digested by all.
is it just me here?
An RNS like that and it'll end up flat ..... no sense to it
wonder if any will be in the 100's
Wow that's incredible mate!
Yup just be patient, if it doesn't happen today it will happen soon. With less than 5.5m shares in issue it will move quick. Currently only has a market cap of around £12m should be £30m+ after that news
very slow taking off!
500 would be great, nobody lit the fuse yet though
Yup should go for an afternoon run towards 300p hopefully
Ummm that hasn't done much. Thought more people would be buying
Nice RNS
Worth noting in particular that First Check are a subsidiary of the mighty Alere Inc.... Http://www.investegate.co.uk/akers-biosciences--akr-/rns/us-distribution-agreement--cholesterol-self-test/201612011200066905Q/ "Akers Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKER) (AIM: AKR.L), (the "Company" or "Akers Bio"), a developer of rapid health information technologies, has signed a distribution agreement with First Check Diagnostics, LLC ("First Check"), the major global diagnostic device and service provider, to serve as the exclusive distributor of the Company's rapid cholesterol self-test in the United States under their "First Check" brand. First Check products are sold through major retailers including, CVS, Rite Aid, Target, Kmart, Meijer, Giant Eagle, Stop & Shop, Giant and ShopKo. Akers Bio's Tri-Cholesterol "Check" test is the only combined rapid test which provides an estimate of a person's Total cholesterol as well as their High Density Lipoprotein ("HDL") cholesterol levels - their 'good cholesterol'; thereby providing an estimate of a person's Low Density Lipoprotein ("LDL") levels - their 'bad cholesterol'. These features are essential to accurately differentiating between a person's 'good' and 'bad' cholesterol thereby making it a truly effective screening test for high cholesterol. etc"
Gormally comes across extremely well. Certainly lots to look forward to. And more optimism about the $2m Chinese sale coming through this quarter, which will be great news if so: http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/stocktube/6389/akers-to-launch-products-of-the-future-in-2017-6389.html?utm_source=Sign-Up.to&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=7163-359082-PROACTIVITY+-+Atlantis+Resources+%26+IGas+Energy+reach+key+project+milestones
Just remember £££ the world's first on the spot chlamydia test is only just a few months away from being passed by the FDA , now that has to be a fantastic achievement and a great money maker for akers, and its clearance and the publicity should increase akers share price
AKR definitively say that Q4 "is expected to be profitable", and that the rest of the $2.5m Chinese order will be received this quarter. So these things had better happen. I suspect when/if they announce the receipt of the Chinese cash the share price may go a fair bit higher.
