"Coca-Cola is in "serious talks" with Aurora Cannabis to develop cannabis-infused beverages, according to Canadian business news channel, BNN Bloomberg.
The report says Coca-Cola wants to develop drinks that will ease inflammation and pain, rather than getting customers high.
One source quoted in the article says it will be marketed as a recovery drink."

Oh wow that was hypocritical of our government! So our chances of getting the license are pretty good if others have done so before
"Within the plant, British Sugar grow a "key ingredient" for GW Pharmaceuticals, a biotech company which has developed the cannabis-derived Epidiolex, an experimental treatment for severe forms of childhood epilepsy – a condition without an effective treatment.
The yield from this site makes up the majority of the UK's exported cannabis-derived medication. GW Pharmaceuticals' Sativex, an anti-spasticity drug containing a 1:1 ratio of THC to CBD – the principle psychoactive component of cannabis and a non-psychoactive, highly therapeutic component, respectively – is sent to 30 countries around the world, but is expensive and largely unavailable on the NHS. A considerable amount of purified CBD is exported to the US. In 2016, the UK produced 95 tons of legal herb and exported almost 68 percent of the world's total medicinal weed."

Medical Cannabis Licence in the UK to be sought by AfriAg Global
AfriAg Global PLC, the London-listed global food and logistics group, announces that it has formally engaged the London office of law firm, Hill Dickinson LLP, to assist with the Company’s application process to become a licensed cultivator and producer in the UK of medical cannabis.
The UK is one of the world’s largest producers of legal medical cannabis under special licences granted by the UK Government.
David Lenigas, Executive Chairman of AfriAg Global, comments:
“I have extensive experience in the global legal medical cannabis sector, having assisted with financing medical cannabis operations in Jamaica, Australia, Canada and Europe, and the board see a huge opportunity here for AfriAg Global to help the UK increase its global market presence in this very exciting and fast-growing sector. Applying for this licence is a very detailed and highly regulated process and it will take some time. We have started the process by appointing a highly skilled major law firm to assist the Company with the formal application for a licence. The application will be sought in the name of AfriAg Global, and if appropriate, we may bring in other experienced global partners to assist with our application.”
The directors of the Company accept responsibility for the contents of this announcement.
