https://www.linkedin.com/company/offshore-renewable-energy-catapult/ “The Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult forms part of an ELITE network of eight technology and innovation centres established and overseen by Innovate UK, which represents a ONE BILLION POUND public and private sector investment over the next five years. ORE Catapult is the UK's FLAGSHIP technology innovation and research centre for OFFSHORE WIND, wave and tidal energy. We deliver prioritised research underpinned by world-class test and demonstration facilities, collaborating with industry, academia and Government to reduce the cost of offshore renewable energy and create UK economic benefit.” Essentially world class facilities, top scientists, well funded systematic research, well respected world wide. They describe Gyrometric Systems as a “GAME CHANGER”. Page 8 of 9 Summer edition mag below. https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/media.newore.catapult/app/uploads/2018/06/19104855/Circuit-Issue-13-web.pdf Recent RNS excerpts: “More recently GyroMetric has moved into monitoring and protecting wind turbines, having recently completed HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL trials using the world's newest and most powerful offshore wind turbine drive train test facility at the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult at Blyth.” “Monitoring the condition of rotating shaft mechanisms has traditionally been carried out using vibration sensors. Such sensors measure the frequencies and amplitudes of vibration. The GyroMetric approach is to measure accurately the ACTUAL displacements and the frequencies...” The competition doesn’t exist, in the truest sense of the term, given the tech is UNIQUE. So existing Condition Monitoring Services (CMS) measure vibrations (using accelerometers, sensors etc) and extrapolate this to measuring the defects within the drive train. Examples include Gram-Juhls. https://gramjuhl.com From what I read, these guys have been around 21 years and have cornered approximately 80-90% of the offshore wind turbine condition monitoring (TCM) share worldwide, being fitted within Siemens-Gamesa (merged wind businesses in 2017) turbines etc. Gyrometric measures ACTUAL displacement. It does this using three sensors, along two axes, and the first generation did it using DIGITAL sensors. They applied for a new patent with the U.K. IPO in March 2018, towards an improved encoder, that measures displacement using ANALOGUE sensors. This should further improve the accuracy of a technology that is already far ahead of peers, imho. http://media.oemt.de/Whitepaper_MSPI-2010.pdf White paper on the research published few years ago. The gyrometric team is essentially pedigree academics with serial entrepreneurs, they have been working on this tech for over 20 years. They have already commercialised it in the Marine market. So the wind turbine market comes next. It should get very interesting if any turbi
Plenty picking them up here in the sales. BRH paying 1.15p for theirs.
Let us not be disheartened, dear friends, remember: The governors have epidermis in the enterprise!
5% down today, Gyrometric and working with AECOM are game changers here.
Jezabel, I topped up last week at 1.01. Now well positioned for when results arrive.
I hope it hits your target price though.
Lotto, you're right will take time to fully turn around. Fingers crossed if we get some good figures we might start to see the SP moving in the right direction for a change. I'd like a long term hold here. GLA DYOR
Valid points Callit. The Leica kit was leased initially I believe (to save on costs). Tbh I’m not expecting multimillion contracts straightaway, even small regular contracts add up, with mention of being preferred partners for survey work for a prestigious project like HS2 or the Heathrow job for ex, is sufficient to change perspective. Bottom line is we are back from the brink of bankruptcy, generating revenues and have two threads to look forward to: geocurve and gyrometric. Turnarounds take time. The numbers matter ultimately. DYOR.
Callit and Draft: That all sounds fantastic news! I suggest you remortgage, sell the car and buy as many shares as you can. First thing tomorrow. Then, after the SP rises, I'll finally be able to cash out...
Geocurve consistently increasing revenue for some time but every year they had a 'slow period' over summer. this year they worked right through. Even before this previous BOD said they were expected to break-even H1 2018 which may have been optimistic at the time.
Increased focus of cost cutting (bar exceptional expenses for the new 3d Scanning kit, the cost of which came from the OO).
Closure of the cash hogging training arm.
Interest from big players. More contacts likely.
Good prospects for Gyrometric technology which pays for itself in a day.
Looking forward to the results with a new sense of optimism here.
Great entry point to be had at current SP.

here. With AECOM, Essex university, Hessel Hydro and of course Gyrometric, Building a real support services player here and only £3mill market cap currently. Some of these partners could present some very big contracts indeed.
Noting moves at the moment ..August ...
What’s wrong?? No movement here
$658k between them last year between them. Can’t find anything to say they’ve stopped since then.
..which I never think is a good idea. No salary - no obligation.
“Current BOD taking zero salary”
When did they stop paying them?
The HY results were released on 12/09 last year so 2018's should be in about 3 weeks....really hoping the new BODs strategy is evident in the results and the company can go on to realise its full potential
I await the HY results then.
It always repeat the old story...
Here are some facts which may sit unpleasantly with other posters agendas. Last raise to keep lights on, was Jan 2018. All debts, legal disputes settled. Old BOD moved out. The current directors hold 33% between them, so their interests are aligned with other share holders. They have stated unequivocally since, that dilution to keep lights on, is a thing of the past, and is not happening here. Logically, why dilute themselves? Cashed up beyond end of 2018. There hasn’t been any dilution to raise “lifestyle” cash since Jan, that’s 8 months. Raising equity (some 7.4% dilution) mentioned in today’s rns is to buy a further stake in gyrometric, to add value to the business. Massive drop in costs due to (previous Bod and) current bod efforts. US offices/staff cut, training division closed, drops in annual recurring building lease etc mentioned in FY report June 18. Current BOD taking zero salary. Incentivised to work on our behalf (and of course theirs). Growth sectors: wind energy esp off shore is taking off, costs per unit dropping, UK is a leader here. Surveying industry: changing significantly due to new tech and changing requirements, virtual surveying being pursued as a differentiator. Geocurve is clear in its aim: pursue a few big companies, for long term relationships ie recurring revenue. It reads like a who’s who of the building and associated industry: AECOM, Jacobs, Vinci, Ringway Jacobs, Aggregate industries, EDF....HH, Robert West, @one alliance etc Aeros two revenue threads are poised to grow significantly, but it will take focussed effort, time and patience to rebuild a business from the mess that Strat aero was pre 2018. The HY statement in Sept should be eye opening for the doubters. The rainbow chasers can move on. Imho. Please DYOR. Good luck all
Only trouble is they’re spending 4x what they bring in, it’s ok for a lucky punt on a contract spike. Ultimately they’ll need more highly dilutive fund raises.
think this will surprise. real decent company with proper bod.
Ducks are lining up
perfectly put cityal
all good, all positive. Not expecting any major movement on SP today, however expect contract news along with financials in September, there could be some position taking for those, we will have to wait and see. Whatever this is now a proper company being developed along the right lines, lots to look forward to along with a rising SP.
Gyrometric stake upped. Solid prospects
really think this can major bag if they increase the PR a bit.
