Waiting for news over the next week
...at Vaca Muerta, drilling expected to be competed, end of January.
Hopefully, pi's that have locked in their profits, will be getting prepared for the drilling updates as they arrive towards the end of this month....another bite of the cherry, no doubt? The objective of the Las Varillas x-1 well is to evaluate the unconventional potential of the Vaca Muerta formation, which lies approximately 1,000 metres below the Neuquén Group formation, as well as the conventional potential of the Chachao and Agrio formations. The drilling plan includes taking an 18 metre core from the Agrio and Chachao formations and two additional cores from the Vaca Muerta formation.
Suddenly we were about to break out above 60p....then, massive profit taking. One supposes it was bound to happen at some point? I topped up at 47p and 48.5p, let's hope the sell off has stopped and we'll be back over 56p next week? So far, i have not been able to establish any real reasons for the drop !
Some profit taking on Friday and is to be expected. I believe Monday AEN will assert itself as pi's take advantage at 58p. Expect a progress report later in the week, imo....The objective of the Las Varillas x-1 well is to evaluate the unconventional potential of the Vaca Muerta formation, which lies approximately 1,000 metres below the Neuquén Group formation, as well as the conventional potential of the Chachao and Agrio formations. The drilling plan includes taking an 18 metre core from the Agrio and Chachao formations and two additional cores from the Vaca Muerta formation. Geochemical data will be sampled at 2 metre intervals from the start of the Agrio formation to the total target well depth of 2,250 metres. The well is being drilled by YPF as part of the farm-in agreement with Andes, under which Andes has a 100% working interest in all production from the Agrio formation and a 40% carried interest in the other formations including Vaca Muerta and Chachao. Andes is fully carried through drilling and testing of the well, which is expected to be completed by the end of January. Alejandro Jotayan, CEO of the Company, commented: "The Manzano West block has already demonstrated significant conventional oil production potential following the drilling of the Mirador del Valle x-1 well in November 2013, which was sourced from the Vaca Muerta formation and has significantly de-risked this well. The Las Varillas x-1 well will investigate the complete stratigraphic column including the world class source rock Vaca Muerta as the main target, in an area located in the Northwest of the Neuquén basin where Andes has 170,000 net acres nearby. A successful program will provide Andes and YPF with the opportunity to develop a large and promising area with unconventional and conventional resources potential."
thought you would like this, from the DOR bb... applegarth Posts: 2,027 Answer Opinion: No Opinion Price: 0.22 RE: PhilliamsToday 22:00great word ......DREAMPERS....says what's on the tin.....I nominate Arsenal221 as the poster with the best innovative, invented word for regular use on the bb's for 2014 I've adopted it, now i'll use it on wherever i post. Oh, i forgot, i'm not invested in DOR (yet), promised another poster i'd look into it.....will be back, hopefully, gla Arsenal221 Posts: 24,264 Off Topic Opinion: No Opinion Price: 0.22 PhilliamsToday 20:50He is most if not always the same on, all bb's that he goes on & generally all 'dreampers' are the same, as well.
..ONLY 30%, had been buying AEN for two months from 22p up to 46p, my last buy. ALO turned the corner today....i needed to buy more at 1.85p, finished the day on a roll at 2.1p...fireworks, tomorrow! Andes having a breather...but pi's waiting for a drop to buy more may find it difficult to get under 56p.if at all. Anticipation of good drill results may be the catalyst to send the sp over 62p, imo
of buys over the last few days. Slowly slowly is best.
Will check out the 2 little gems. Don't forget to look at DOR soon as the pressure is growing by the day. GLA & DYOR
Excellent rise on news of the spud.
...and return back to a nice rise. Personally, i thought a small retrace would enable me to top up. Imagine my surprise to see that we actually touched 60p ? There is talk of 80p......100p is more like it and pretty soon too. There are many investors in this from all around that never post and probably don't even read the bb's...they get their recommendations from brokers and or tip/sheets. This would explain why we are very lax on posters, yet the sp continues to rise. Two nice little gems ready to go ballistic are ALO and SAV this article today from proactive, gives the info. ALO should be the first to breakout within days..i kid you not, 'appy' http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/64575/the-big-picture-savannah-resources-confident-drill-results-can-prove-potential-64575.html
..For the benefit of newbies researching AEN. Actually, i'm surprised no one has posted it ? http://www.investegate.co.uk/andes-energia-plc--aen-/rns/spudding-of-well/201401060700059202W/ 6 January 2014 Andes Energia plc ("Andes" or "the Company") Spudding of Well Spud in JV with YPF, of a multi-target exploration well in the unconventional Vaca Muerta and conventional Chachao and Agrio formations in the El Manzano West block in the Neuquén basin, Argentina The Board of Andes (AIM: AEN; BCBA: AEN) is pleased to announce the commencement of drilling of the Las Varillas x-1 exploration well located in the El Manzano West block in the Neuquén basin, South Mendoza Province, Argentina. This new well is located 1.5 km from the successful Mirador del Valle x-1 well discovery announced on 13 November, which targeted the Neuquen Group formation producing an average flow rate of 535 bopd during testing with the potential for 15 million barrels of recoverable resource. Las Varillas x-1 The objective of the Las Varillas x-1 well is to evaluate the unconventional potential of the Vaca Muerta formation, which lies approximately 1,000 metres below the Neuquén Group formation, as well as the conventional potential of the Chachao and Agrio formations. Slowly slowly to keep it under the radar of day traders. A good day.
I wouldn't be surprised if we saw this month!
can we see 80 this year lets hope so
Spudding of Well, great news
O/T I'm loaded up on DORs and the fun should start next week. Will put more in AEN when funds permit, meanwhile enjoy the investor sessions & I hope all goes well with the house sale
Hi there , have just read your post below and it would appear that we both have the same taste in reading matter ! Am not in here yet - but fully intend to . At the moment I am particularly concentrated in FRX , where I'm hoping to make some decent short term profits. Am still in IOF , all the way up from 60p to 2.40p - and now back down to 90p .!! Although I did slice - obviously not enough. I think that I am guilty of that well known stock market sin , of " falling in love with some of my shares " BTW - followed your tip into DOR , thanks again . Re Big C , just on the train up to Yorkshire where I have another property under offer - and at the asking price . Still waiting for that vital exchange of contracts though ! Regards.
Good morning sir. Yes I saw the same ST article and have made a couple of purchases. Looks like a good long term keeper that might suddenly go through the roof. GL
Hello my friend , I wasn't aware that you were in here . I saw a 2:page article in the Sunday Times about this company a few weeks ago , since when I have kept a lookout here . Haven't bought in yet , but will do so soon . Regards. BigC
to all AEN investors. The sky is the limit for 2014, GLA
but really low volume-not a surprise given the time of the year. I do wonder if the sp will somehow get closer to or touch the dma 10 (currently at 46.9), as that has been support on a few occasions in the last couple of months following some of the spikes we've seen. If it touches the dma10, it should hold well at that level, as this rally is definitely not over, and that should be a good moment to top up, or an entry point for those that aren't invested in yet, and then we should be ready for another spike into the 60s. As prevously said, we are probably going much higher than the current levels-who knows if we will revisit previous highs of 2012
My latest investment looks quite stunning...i stuck my toe in last week and it is performing as we did..take a look... Phynix Manifesto - Empyrean Energy SCROLL DOWN to read the two articles-EME http://phynixmanifesto.wordpress.com/ http://www.investegate.co.uk/Index.aspx?searchtype=3&words=EME
