Nice one Pablo it appears very similar if not the same ,be nice to get clarification. Thanks for the welcome zigstock all have a good weekend
Do you have an opinion on that horrible report I posted - the link is there below at 17:07 if you missed it yesterday. It is China, so you'd expect a bit of subterfuge. Are the company reliable and trustworthy in your opinion?
Hope to see alot more of you both, ive been following this baby for nearly 1 and a half years!! Great company!!
basically - up here 2.43% I've asked Seymour Pierce to comment on the Nov article I posted yesterday - sent them the link http://seekingalpha.com/article/306149-asian-citrus-sour-oranges - to see if it's basically the same story that Next mag ran on Wed. Awaiting reply.
Yes, interesting, I suppose they haven't had long to digest it there. They're 8 hours ahead so they would have probably been trading for an hour or two since RNS.
Yes couple of percent each day and after big drop.yes Argee only a matter of time be interesting to see what 73hk make of rns Monday. I used to panic when get drops but Learnt hard way to stay with what I believe in.regards
Yeah, can see your 'Sell' !! Loads of Buys cast as Sells. This'll go up one day soon - did you see HK ain't done too bad today or yesterday
There we go 13.31 shows as sell
Just bought some more 1904 @ 36.37 see what that shows lol
Yes reckon all three buys. Seems to happen a lot. The price when sold was close to actual price. I topped up on sound oil other day and showed as sell. Only a theory but reckon being held back.got any thought?regards
Your £91k is a Buy AND £102k @36.25 at 10:01 282,000 shares reported as Sell I reckon that's a BUY myself and a 250,000 @ 36.25 trade at 10:07 £90k reported as ? ( sells around then @ 36.0) So that's at least 3 massive buys today - 2 going through wrongly as Sell or ?
That 91k buy more evidence that holders on to good thing here .
Thanks for all that Pablo. I believe you. (I think)
up 2.3% today - not much, but it shows a retrace the last couple of days upwards there. They might know something - they might be eating our oranges.
Remember this Eddie Murphy film? There's money to be made in Orange juice! Lol
Last two paragraphs of the company's statements I quote were from today's RNS - just the first big one from the 19th. Headline profit might look down but it's all about trees maturing (I think)
From Trading update 19th Jan : As all the orange trees in the Xinfeng Plantation became fruit bearing in the previous period and there was no transfer of infant trees to orange trees during the six months ended 31 December 2011, the net gain on the change in fair value of biological assets is anticipated to be substantially lower than the amount in the comparable period last year. The Group's profit after net gains on change in fair value of biological assets and share based payments for the six months ended 31 December 2011 is therefore expected to be lower than the Group's profit after net gains on change in fair value of biological assets and share based payments for the six months ended 31 December 2010. As shareholders are aware, the net gain on change in fair value of biological assets does not have any effect on the cash flow of the Group. The decrease in profit is mainly due to lower increase in the net gain on change in fair value of biological assets as all the orange trees in the Xinfeng Plantation becoming fruit bearing in the previous period and there was no transfer of infant trees to orange trees during the six months ended 31 December 2011. The core net profit, which refers to profit for the period excluding net gain on change in fair value of biological assets and share-based payments, for the six months ended 31 December 2011 was approximately RMB308.8 million, compared to approximately RMB204.7 million for corresponding period last year, representing an increase of approximately 50.9%. The increase was mainly attributable to the increase in production volume of winter orange, the increase in average selling price of oranges and six months results of Beihai BPG are consolidated into the Group during the period compared to one month results in corresponding period last year. ALL BOILS DOWN TO : Core net profit up 50% Young trees not transfered to orchards during this period so no increase in change in fair value of biological assets. That's what you're missing.
HK$250 mil = about 20.5 mil GBP = about 57 mil shares at 36p = 4.5% of issued shares of 1250 mil (estimated from RNS about previous repurchase of 500k shares representing 0.04 % of shares)
3.1p earnings for 6 months would equal 6.2p for the year ie. PE of 6? Not bad and also decent dividend yield. At the very least this share offers "good value" IMO
What other aim company has made 38.2 million pound profit, all be it down on last year and with the economy the way it is. Like you disappointed so far ,but all those massive buys I have witnessed over last month or so I believe speaks volumes and what other aim company pays divi. Reckon could take a while but believe this will come good good luck
well, according to their half-year report, they bought back and cancelled 3.5 mil shares in the last six months of 2011 (approx HK$17.6 mil) @ 5.038 HK$ - that's about 41p each at today's rate, and intend to buy back upto HK$250 million before the next AGM from free cash flow and working capital....
I am at a loss to understand why some on the board are enthusiastic about these results. Granted the dividend and the share buy back which will make a difference to the eps. But the blunt facts are that the eps has decreased from 5.8p to 3.1p and the pre tax profit has decreased from 52mill to 38.2 mill. What am I missing?
Interesting thought but doubt that but very interesting perspective!
is it possible this could be self sabotage to keept the sp at a cheap buy back level? I have 70% of my portfolio here and will continue to buy......fortunately I am very patient!!
big buys now coming in!
