tomorrow we should get an increase in the div and hear when the interim ex div is due. So fill your boots before results are released!!
Interim Dividend Payment Date 3-05-2011 Interim Ex-Dividend Date 9-03-2011
As a new investor in ACHL, i have to say no matter hoe sound the fundamentals, one has to take note of a 15% drop in two days. This is not MM's playing games but the market making a statement big and load. Whether true or not the Next Mag. statement has seeded doubt and seriously damaged the reputation of ACHL. Tomorrows earnings release will therefore define the future SP one way or the other. This is a key and pivotal situation for ACHL and should not be underestimated. Tomorrow will have less to do with profit and more about regaining credibility. Let's hope the BOD do us proud.
Results are tomorrow why are we not seeing a rise in the sp?
pablo2 is right. that is the link i sent him when he dropped me an email. but what i didn't expect was for him to post it here. well, it's always been out there anyway and probably priced in. so, good luck to you guys tomorrow.
I've just joined you with just over 26,000 @35.85. I have been watching these for about a year now, there was a similar 'tale' knocking about at that time too.
Look at all the sells with results due tomorrow. Very strange. Maybe we should all sell and make mm s even richer?
thanks, that was good reading. If the best negative article that can be cobbled together consists of a frustrated NAMED competitor blowing off hot air and the local UNNAMED "government" (province official) trying to cover his ass because the achl figures blow a big hole in his "official" province production figures, then i'm not worried. "It is unclear how Litian Xinfeng could contribute 62% and 87% of the whole county’s citrus output and revenue when its citrus plantations amount to no more than one-fifth of the county’s plantations by area." What's unclear? Either ACHL are lying, or the local UNNAMED council bod has been under-reporting for years and has a fat pile of cash under his mattress and a grudge. There is no mystery there. 2. organic claim. "not all the production is organic shocker" is all the market organic? Of course not, this is common sense. 3. local officials in Litian are "unsure" about how much we produce. But not "unsure" enough not to put in an "official" province production filing to central gov....apparently. 4. supermarkets deny who their supplier is and don't display who their supplier is to a muppet on the phone...well no $hit. But up market dept stores do have the branded premium oranges on their shelves. 5. Biological asset valuations by third party are unreliable..."3rd partys only spend 5 days on site visiting"...so did the author do a month of field visits himself to get the "true" figures....err no. why not? 6. Significant discrepancy in SAIC filings....yawn... 7. Related party recently exposed as fraudulent....yawn...
That 550K buy is from yesterday (22/02/12)....
how do you know its a buy?
Huge buy @ 550,000 shares just gone through, someone knows something?? ;)
The company duly paid my dividend in December (Real cash) and it seems to me that the allegations are old news - so I've have used it as an opportunity to top up There is a detailed and useful FAQ section on the Asian Citrus website which is very informative and seems to address most of the allegaftions that have been made. http://www.asian-citrus.com/investors_faqs.php
Not sure, but the fact the SP fell 10% yesterday could be linked to this article so I would understand if ACHL decided to sue! Tomorrow will be interesting.
Maybe cause it sells magazines,no different to press in this country I guess. Hope Asian end up suing them, having said that maybe Asian are confident in what they say, and why spend millions on law suits for every opinion that differs what is factual. What do you reckon?
I'm not backing this magazine but I wonder why you would write an article without doing decent research and backing it (evidence etc) up if contested?
The continual buys this morning suggests yesterdays mischief (Next Magazine article) is long forgotten. Whilst the ACHL BOD are looking into this seperatly, I am hopeful they will use tomorrows interim earning release as a platform to further denounce the speculation and insinuations. GLA
Here is the report Syntaxity mentioned yesterday - it is not pretty reading. However, time will tell - i.e tomorrow. http://seekingalpha.com/article/306149-asian-citrus-sour-oranges 4 comments have been made on the article - worth reading too. It's oldish news but v.disturbing if correct.
. . I am allready invested in here and with 6 million tonnes of oranges output per annum I am expecting great results tommorrow.. . . It might be a good time for vou to climb aboard today.... Good luck
Like you say all looks good on fundamentals. Had some bad press reports chaoda, and press just seem to be negative about. I am invested here and reckon will come good in end. Pay a divenden each year. Suppose like any share really it's a risk. Normal circumstances this should bounce Tom, but not so sure with that press article yesterday.good luck
I have not researched this share as much as i would have liked, I only stumbled across it yesterday. With such strong fundamentals and a Div it looks extremely promising. What are peoples thoughts on buying today , appreciate your opinions and comments on what tomorrow may bring :)
One more big shake from mm then up. Good luck all.
Bring on the results tomorrow! What we've all been waiting for, hopefully a nice bounce back to the 40s maybe 50s! gl all
