lets hope so mate with this one though you just never know
So we are invested the holding company 'Talvivaara Mining Company Plc' and the bankrupt bankruptcy estate is 'Talvivaara Sotkamo Ltd'. Does this mean we wash our hands of the mine and its debts and move on to new projects?
hence item 15 !
yup exactly how i read it!
From what I can translate it looks like the government have decided to close the mine but as it will take time to wind it down then could be saved if private investors can be found by end of 2016.
well at least stuff is happening at last
We just have to hope it's not just a case of grasping at straws. Finnish press currently suggesting the government will announce the future of the mine midday today!
'15. Proposal by the Board of Directors to amend the Articles of Association The Board of Directors proposes that section 2§ of the Articles of Association of the Company concerning the line of business be made more versatile to cover also the development of new types of businesses. According to the proposal by the Board of Directors, section 2§ of the Articles of Association concerning the line of business would in its entirety read as follows: "The line of business of the Company is to engage in ore exploration, exploitation, excavation and other mining activities and in metals, machine, chemical and construction industries and any business activities supporting them. The Company may also engage in the business operations based on know-how acquired in aforementioned sectors or related to or compatible with them. The Company may operate either directly or through subsidiaries, associated companies or joint ventures." indeed its is CW.. and if this is Pekka looking to turn us around then im all for that.. IF current shares are made worthless though then its all pants as we could invest in a lot of companies like that but you never know and this sector is way cheap at the moment.
Matter No 15 is interesting: http://www.talvivaara.com/media-en/Talvivaara_announcements/stock_exchange_releases/stock_exchange_release/t=talvivaara-mining-company-plc/id=205426640
Absolutely mate, in Pekka we trust
mate on this I would absolutely no clude whatsover.. ok i cant see them closing down the ops but its the funding bit that is the most worrying. we need pekka to put on his entrepreneurial hat and pull a very big rabbit out of it.. lots of finish holders here too and the govt .. fingers crossed
Thanks Wimbledon. Any thoughts on which way they will go? Main short term consideration must be the discharge pipe ruling. The Nickle price forecast is most likely the main long term consideration, the World Bank forecast is the most optimistic suggesting approx. $13,000/mt by 2020 and approx. $20,000/mt by 2025 (well over double today's price) but other forecasts not so positive. If the government agreed that a long term recovery is on the cards, how long can they afford to wait for it?

That's something positive if true.
What is the basis for any shareholder getting anything significant? Shareholder wipeout was part of the debt write off?
txs for that. perhaps the torture is coming to an end
