Sorry chaps, meant to add to this on Saturday. Pekka Pera replied to me on Friday evening. He said old shares will be converted to new ones, no need to do anything.
As I understand it, nothing happens to our shares except the diluting effect of up to 4 billion new shares being issued. But diluted shares are better than no shares. Does anyone have a different understanding of the situation? .
So have they said our old shares will convert ? They won't just scrap this and start a new one ?
We do nothing Geek, up to 4 billion new shares will be made available to our creditors so add this to our current share total of 2,108,154,152 and the company share total may increase to 6,108,154,152 shares.
Will shares be automatically converted to new shares, or do we have to 'opt in'?
Yep not long now. As you said, interesting times ahead.....
well thats right depends on lots of things they cant just start trading with nothing to support what little price the shares have plus there has to be some sort of on going business. i would guess thats the sort of details the exc would want.. company structure and all the other stuff for trading etc. unless of course its lists somewhere else . not long to find out i guess
I think you’re correct but do you think if Talvivaara has some good investment ideas/opportunities for the continued recovery then some could choose to keep the shares for the potential greater return? Something I hadn’t considered was the risk the Helsinki Stock Exchange could still delist the shares, hopefully they won't do that......
now if you are receiving shares a t a coversion price of 11 cents then once the shares are issued you are going to try your upmost to get your money back .. correct ? interesting times ahead i hope
sorry this is more accurate but looking good IMO 'Trading in the New Shares The Company will submit an application for the New Shares to be listed on the official list of the Helsinki Stock Exchange. The New Shares are expected to be listed on the official list of the Helsinki Stock Exchange on or about 29December2016. Trading in the Shares has been suspended since 6 November 2014. The suspension of trading in the Shares is expected to continue after the Share Issue until the Helsinki Stock Exchange makes a decision to recommence the trading or the Shares are delisted from the official list of the Helsinki Stock Exchange. The trading code of the Shares is TLV1V and the ISIN code is FI0009014716.
I wouldn't worry too much. This is an old article.
So I'm confused everywhere I read says talv is done .. this article says According to Salminen, creditors of the bankrupt company will not receive any monies from the liquidation process. I keep having hope but I'm just stupid ? http://yle.fi/uutiset/osasto/news/claimants_walk_away_from_compensation_suits_against_broke_talvivaara_mining_firm/9175162

*Before the year is out
Yes, any more details would be great? We know one plan is to invest back into the mine and we will need to raise capital to do this, I think I'm right in saying we can't do this while suspended so although I believe trading will resume before the year I've heard nothing that can confirm this.
hello there, any more detail or not at this stage!
I hear that this share is likely to be trading again in the next few months
Thanks Geek, the English version link below. I'm positive Pekka/TALV is one of the 'possible external financiers'.... http://yle.fi/uutiset/osasto/news/government_pledges_100_million_euros_more_for_eastern_finland_mine/9288663
