It's been a pleasure chatting on here and I think we made a good return, some will take profits because some have large bets and I don't blame you but I reckon you should still keep some action as this is a solid bet I'm not ramping as some of you know I've been positive since I've been posting but I've watched a share being pursued before and missed out on the top jackpot . HOLD do not lose bottle and research capital gains tax ?? gla
Lim - I blame the new closing hours. If youād have been able to stay out until 11 you could have managed another couple of pints and slept like a baby!!
Reading all the media stuff this weekend has made out all confusing with wmh not disclosing what apollo is willing to pay.
Not been in this situation for a long time, it's hard to guess how this will play out.
The only thing that I can go on, the bid that WMH got a few years ago was highter i believe than Ā£3 and WMH wanted a lot more and the deal fell through.
Big investors will determine which way the share price will go this week, not the likes of us in a chat. GL for tomorrow
Bloomberg: definitely a different take but when exactly was the earnings forecast done?
The Eldorado takeover of Caesars was only completed in July, WMH deal with CG Technology approved in August and the Michigan casino sportsbook only opened last week.
Bloomberg article, a different take!

Pmoran, I know what you mean, me and thechancers, watched it hit 28p my losses, well all I can say I thought about giving the whole share dealing up. Didnāt have the balls to buy at the low (and my low) but did on the way back up. My average was in the high 180ās before covid now 134.
Iāve also broke my holdings rule and was and still am will over exposed on WMH, lucky me.
I may slice some at 4 (if it gets there), but not sure yet. In the long term I feel which ever way it goes we should be on to a winner. Yes, if it drops back to the 180-200 doh! But I do believe that the US will bring the rewards.
Iām pulled to two different directions, one I want the current setup or JV and the other, takeover. At least with a takeover you donāt have to take the decision to sell!
Not complaining am also up 100%+ on Val but that could all go to cr*p this week!
You have stuck with this share and it sounds like , how long can you hold your nerve only you know , because this will rise next week at some point 375+ enjoy it tho hope you make the right choice , you are used to big drops letās see how you cope with big rises??

āThe U.S. is the key attraction with William Hillā and āa value of about 300p per share is easily reached at present,ā Gavin Kelleher, an analyst at Goodbody Stockbrokers, wrote in a note to clients Friday. āAnother interesting angle is the plans Apollo and/or Caesars have for the non-U.S. part of William Hill.ā
Morbox, William hill has been driving me crackers!
Iām a long term holder who average down when we were sub 100. It left me with more exposure in a single share than my usual rules allow and I intended to reduce my holding once I was nicely in profit.
My average holding is 130 and when we hit 160 a couple of months back I decided not to sell any and wait and see what the next trading update told us regards USA. Quite painful to then watch us drop back down to a quid!
Of course I had the opportunity to take some profits a few weeks ago when we went back up over 150. But once again I decided to wait.
Now we are here and instead of congratulating myself for being such a clever bar steward Iām whingeing that itās a cash offer and not a newco in the us that we get shares in and Iāve also got the added worry of how high might it go and might it come down if the talks stall? Some people are just never satisfied are they!
Iāve decided that as we are in strange times currently my maximum exposure rules can be furloughed and Iāve decided to stick it out. Granted the takeover may stall but I still believe William hill will kill it in the states and so even if they do and we go back down from 300+ 200ish Iāll ride the wave and see what happens.
The challenge will be can I stick to my new plan when the Shares are knocking on the door of Ā£4 a week on Tuesday!
thechancers, yes you are right. As I said yesterday great position, 1) at the moment two interested parties, if that falls through (2) maybe 50/50 JV, if that falls through, (3) Current arrangement 80% of 30% of the US market! The other 20% is Caesars. Nice!
He hasnāt taken in to account the dilution of 20%, so historical prices are like Apple and Pears (IMO).
Don't really understand all this trend analysis stuff, this guy seems positive though

For what itās worth , Itās all over financial news in America and every one knows itās got to b atleast 500 so surly the price will have to rise tomorrow , Friday people were unsure what was going on a lot of sells which I think people will regret, now everyone knows more details and the dust has settled, I will b shocked if it drops , if it does by a large amount then the take over looks like not happening, 312to 500 a nice return if I had more money I would b buying tomorrow ,just my opinion, exciting times
Just to be clear, am I correct in saying that we have to separate interested parties and they are not going in together to buy wmh, just someone was saying that it could be a 50\50 split but the RNS states separate cash proposals and regards Betfred, I read on here that they were also interested, but I think that is more rumour than anything else.
Only way that we will see anything decent will be if we get 2 companies bidding against each other. Not sure how Ladbrokes take over went.
The Board of William Hill plc ("William Hill") notes the recent press speculation regarding a possible offer for William Hill. It confirms that it has received separate cash proposals from Apollo Management International LLP (together with Apollo Global Management, Inc. and its other subsidiaries, "Apollo") and Caesars Entertainment, Inc. ("Caesars").
I was just going to ask how everyone is feeling after a couple of sleeps (and hangovers). I may be mad but Iām staying in. I may slice at (if) it makes 4 but I will make that decision if it come to it. Anyway big week on other shares so Iāll going to see how this goes during the week.
madfistbt, good prediction, CJ and others any views?
I reckon we will see some profit taking tomorrow. May go down to 280-290. Then a steady rise to 340-350 by friday
