Cont' Perhaps the potential candidate is above all this anarchistic rubbish.
Why take the job of V.O.D. C.E.O. if your shareholders/employees just treat you with contemp? Give a dog a bad name!!?? P
I'm on the positive side with this share. Too much silly talk on the negative side. It's only a waiting game for a short while and then this share will start its journey up. I'm sure most have seen it all before. Only way is up, still for me.
Would anyone buy this company if it was up for sale ?
?
This is the BOD that can't find someone to be a millionaire for life on free shares, totally useless. I remember how previously there was so much work in preparing a new CEO well in advance when previous ceo's gave it up, here we are 4 months later , zilch, totally useless
Gary. It it were me, then I probably would want to wait if most shareholders blame everything on the C.E.O. Perhaps some shareholders are being short sighted? Just saying! If you can't support your B.O.D. then invest elsewere. Good luck though Gary with whatever you are invested in.
BoD already announced FY div at half year. More likely a new ceo would make his or her case for next FY. Capex, Div and or Debt. E& love a dividend. Malone loves capex.
If the dividend was to be cut & if you were the new CEO in waiting (all quiet on that front) wouldn't you want the bad news to come out before your appointment was announced?
Just saying ...
I bought back into Vodafone as above @86.63 on the 8 dec 2022......what s the consensus on this board re vodafones dividend going forward(current yield very good).....plus does any other investor feel vodafone could be taken over or broken up in any way ......at these levels seriously thinking of adding more ...tia gla.
'Maybe a tectonic shock required'
Liberty Global possibly, at least in the UK.
'consolidation in uk'
What happened to E& increase in shareholding to 15%. No RNS and not buying this week?
Their investment interest is exposure to £/€ currency and next gen technology. They are not advocating consolidation as far as I can see.
The screw turning on the BoD. Can they just sit on their hands and sweat the VOD cash cow or is a new CEO urgently needed to execute a capital spend strategy out of asset sales.
Crikey, who can keep everyone happy, including the regulator. Maybe a tectonic shock required?
100% from here, great stuff.
When is final ex div. 1st week june?
Wow amazing what a change - of no - wait a minute still the same old crap and heading red again
'Analysts Assign GBX 185 Price Objective to Vodafone Group Public, Indicating a Potential Upside of 108.85% from Current Price'

'Looking to the future, high levels of investment will still be needed to deliver the networks that the UK requires but levels of capex spread across the current set of four individual players are unsustainable'
Pressure will be building with the regulator/ gov and cant be brushed under the carpet. 3 has been positioned to exit for many years. Perhaps as a stalking horse for remedies in 3's other uk interests/ employment commitments but malone/ niel interest suggest it is the starting gun for consolidation in uk (and eu)
churn will be the concern again.
As set out in your agreement with us, this increase is the UK Consumer Price Index (CPI) rate of 10.5% (as published in January 2023) to support the rise in our running costs and keep up with increased demand, plus an additional 3.9% to help support the continued investment in our network as we expand coverage
Message to Vodafone , there will be a decrease in demand. Of course the current offers to new customers won't go up so this is a pretty nasty low blow. All you can eat data/calls is a basic commodity now on SIM only, they are making yet another error in hitting loyal customers with this outrageous increase. You also sign a contract for 2 years where this is allowed ie unknown price increases at the time you sign up
Glad to hear that Roofer, Good luck. I'll be back predicting when it reaches a £1+
Short interest has reduced further down to 0.07% of float. It was 0.10% 2 weeks ago. Hopefully sp start to move up.
My prediction is 93.
Good Evening Doyen Dan ..The main feature of my strategy it must be a reasonable paying dividend share , so for shorting is a big no - no ....May the dividend yield hold......ish

Kirti, it's possible Africa business going to one party and the European business to another. Who would take the whole lot as the regions are at different stages of development with different governmental and regulatory interests. Easier to break it down in the parcels currently constructed in my opinion. And perhaps that's what is at play between E& and Malone
