Look at the madness on the UK beaches when people were crammed in. Folk will risk a lot to have their preferred holiday and for lots of people that means abroad.
I think some of you underestimate the enormous numbers of holiday makers that there'll be once a vaccine is widespread. Even people who were poor before the pandemic and couldn't necessarily afford a holiday- still went on holidays lol!
I take on board what everyone is saying but imo people are very fickle. I think that only the real skint people who cannot afford to go on holiday wont go but the rest and a lot of the people I know, cant wait to book a holiday. Me included. I'm still hopeful of India in February...…
People are also getting used to Covid now and even when / if a vaccine comes out, herd immunity or herd mentality will have taken hold of most people if it hasnt already.
I am in at 274 with a goal of cashing out at 500 which, considering the above, in my humble opinion we will reach by spring.
I just topped up again - think there is more chance of this going to 400 than 200 (it will go to 200 now I've typed this!). Hoping for another chunky gain here in next 6-8 weeks.
I hear and respect what you say SpammySpamton. You make a good point, there is no doubt that we are entering a deep post COVID recession, worldwide and people will cut back on discretionary spend, including holidays - so there will be pressure on margins, less holidays sold.... agree, but.... TUI was well over 1000 before the pandemic, I cannot see it getting to that level for many years, but 600p next year is more than possible IMO, it has got close to that this year. There is pent up demand from those wanting to travel but too scared or can't be bothered with the hassles air travel involves, Boeings will be flying, TUI is embarking on massive cost cutting, disposing of assets etc, not to mention that there will be less competition. However, all this is dependent on a working vaccine (and/or better/quicker testing etc). If there isn't one then I fear air travel is doomed in its current form. But I firmly believe that there will be one rolled out soon. PS: Don't forget TUI operates in China, which is "booming". At the end of the day, none of us have a crystal ball, it's all about making educated, researched guesses, or punts and hoping for some good luck.
We keep hearing it’s the last chance to get in under 300. Tbh with macroeconomics being so completely randomised at the moment, I’d be concerned that FOMA might lead to a fall.
I’m in TUI, but I’m not putting any more in for now. My concerns are that once restrictions are lifted a little, we’ll quickly find people don’t have the money to buy package holidays thanks to the radically altered services landscape (or should I say wasteland) left by Covid plus our government’s handling of it. Is hospitality “unviable”?
I second what you say and iam doing the same. When a vaccine is out this will fly and double within a few days for sure.
I think this is the last chance to get in below 300p. I am waiting to top up (avg price 284p). Just hoping some other shares will hit my target price, otherwise I'll write off a small loss so I don't miss out on TUI. Big money to be made if you are prepared to take a risk.
Yep I only posted Monday about being extremely pleased with my position in TUI IAG Saga Easyjet and Ryanair
All just under or just over current SPs
As a vaccine lands (and it will) the rises that day (or the Monday if a weekend) will be absolutely massive. The falls across all stocks has been so severe a 25% movement in the first session is the minimum rise we'll see and then some
Nicely in profit on TUI
As a vaccine lands and it will dont be surprised to see a 100p rise in that first session
Answering my own post but we have certainly have had a nice rise today if not an outright surge
All the same nicely up
All the travel stocks I suspect will surge tomorrow

It's coming soon....
