Thank for those comments GDOG, I for one dont intend going anywhere yet, I have had 2 jabs, so hopefully that will help me.
Just as an aside I look after my elderly mother, obviously because of this I have had to top going. Rang my brother to advie him, so he can do more. He advised me that one of his sons friends who is an adamant anti-vaxxer hyas tested positive for covid, parts of his body are already shutting down. Please everybody, stay safe, and take the vaccine for your and other protection.
Win,
I had a blast. To be totally honest, my biggest regrets in life are the cute little things I passed up. To this day, I am kicking myself 30 to 40 years after the facts...'what on earth where you thinking?'.
Tricky,
As long as I ended up with the prize, it didn't matter too much to me how I went about getting there.
gdog,
At least you had the times of your life, eh!
Hopefully I’m quite a few jumps away from hanging up my britches.
Black Holes have an 'event horizon'.
The Sun is subject to the gravity of the massive black hole at the center of the Milky Way. And the Milky Way itself dances to the gravitational drumbeat of other nearby galaxies.
In short, it’s hard to find objects in space that aren’t subject to something else’s gravitational tug.
Doggy, start at the top and work your way down.
Isn't that what you Americans say?
First base, second base, and so forth...
Win,
I suppose it depends on the context. As a young adult, until my early 40s, I'd drop my pants as often as possible, providing there was a sweet young thing which I managed to deprive of her panties. One thing for sure, it took me many moons to "wise up". Actually, I aged out. I always knew it would happen, and sure enough, it did. I am long since officially invisible to those 'sweet young things'. At least I've one hell of an imagination.
Tricky,
The black hole comment is truly disgusting. (So why did I laugh?)
mooner---> one who jumps out of alleys to young women, bends over, showing them his bare derriere saying:
"How's this for a black hole?"
As long as it was was when you were a kid, gdog - that’s fine.
Dropping one’s trousers is a terrible way to begin adult life. It’s certainly no way to succeed in a job interview. It takes some people many moons before they wise up!
Can moons have their own individual moons?
Theoretically moons can have sub-moons.
However, none exist in our solar system.
OK, I give...but please tell me it's not the totally obvious act of mooning somebody.
For that one must pull their pants down, bend over, and show your "moon" to some unsuspecting person.
That's what we did as kids...but I figured this site had mostly older folks on it, except the incorrigible VIs, which is the reason for my confusion.
I didn't get the star between the legs joke, so I looked for it online.
Here's one I came across that gave me a chuckle:
Between Your Legs Joke. A little boy asked his dad whats in between mums legs and he says "It's paradise my boy." "Ok whats in between your legs" and he says "Its the key to paradise." And the boy goes "Well you better get that lock changed because that prick next door has a spare key."
No offence intended, couldn’t resist that wee little joke!
Next time you’re stunned by a star on the horizon, bend over and view it between your legs. You will soon realise it’s only a moon and the awe effect goes away entirely.
Are you sure?
Maybe it’s a moon trying to be a star?
A red dwarf is the smallest and coolest kind of star on the main sequence.
The most massive stars have the shortest lives.
Stars that are 25 to 50 times that of the Sun (a yellow dwarf) live for only a few million years. They die relatively quickly because they burn massive amounts of nuclear fuel.
"you're a star!"
======================
A red dwarf?!
Tricky,
Only in my mind.
doggy - you're a star!
Win,
I think it's time for E = mc2....massive energy release / chain reaction to the upside, with the catalyst being fabulous results for Q3 and great guidance for Q4 and beyond.
Are we entering a new dimension?
Is it now time to reverse the polarity of the neutron flow?
Sirius, the Dog Star.
Sirius is part of the constellation Canis Majoris—the “Greater Dog”—which is where Sirius gets its canine nickname, as well as its official name, Alpha Canis Majoris.
Not including our own Sun, Sirius is the brightest star in the sky.
It is not the closest and it is a binary star, made up of Sirius A and Sirius B and lies 8.58 light-years from Earth.
Our sun is a solitary star.

Note: Laura Martin is a highly regarded analyst in our space. This has not been widely published, but it is one of the reasons I picked up another ca 8,500 ADRs over the past two weeks, which I did partially due to this post, but mostly due to the price decline of TRMR on no news.
