Whizzer, I just posted this to Donk. It applies to your thinking too to a lesser extent.

Which bit of "dead" did you not understand little boy?
If you had been in charge, we'd have been chasing 100Mw like your friends at Sekaname, and our liabilities would be such by the time Covid struck that we would be "dead"!
TG's approach has always been beyond your imagination, but most things are unless they are gloomy!"
Well only brad and probably mm think the bod have done a bang up job for us all! Can’t wait to see how many shares they smash us with to get the funding, oh wait a minute they might not issue any because we’re going to be bought out!! Lol. Can’t even produce 2mw after more than a decade in bots because they haven’t got the gas flows. Came back to the share holders for more money after promising that they wouldn’t need to ask us because we had done enough for the company. About time they started repaying the faith shown by us!
"We need lockdown to be eased long term and BDC to offer funds in the not too distant future, and we'll be back on track before Easy jet employ all their pilots! Nothing short of superb if you ask me!"
Luckily no one is asking you Brad because I'd hazard a cautious guess that you're the only one on planet Earth that would describe our situation and the managements performance as 'superb' at this moment in time.
Let’s hope so brad!
Big money doesn't know we exist Whizzer.
I have manipulated the market several times on TLOU to set the sp where I wanted it.
The number of trades on all 3 markets wouldn't keep a barrow boy in Petticoat lane in coffee.
One of our biggest shareholders bought on the Botswana exchange in fact.
I sold some shares on ASX for 4.2c , knowing it was likely to set the sp to 4.2 just a couple of nights ago.
There is so much rubbish talked about market makers, but there needs to be big money being traded as starter!
You know we don’t control the market, big money controls the market. If the sp was 30p you wouldn’t see me for dust, but it’s not because the useless bod haven’t created any value.
You are right Whizzer - it is hard to imagine any LTH is in pocket.
The company has failed to keep the sp up.
But what have they done wrong?
They produced Selemo power in half the time Kalahari wasted from their PPA, dated 2012.
They still haven't produced and that cost us dear.
Instead of us giving us a PPA that was a million times safer than the one from 2012, Eric Molale's officers expressed doubts whether we could produce enough gas , so Eric wanted proof CBM is viable before giving us one. TLOU did not deserve such treatment, but the PPA was for 5 times more our preferred 2Mw, and the presence of unexpected water put that 10Mw out of reach until it receded!
Mr Moagi has replaced Eric and the PPA to a realistic 2Mw once the dewatering process starts to deliver.
We planned to open more pods to speed up the dewatering and then Covid-19 puts the mockers on everything!
The circumstances would have bankrupted most start-ups but you don't appreciate that Whizzer.
To have the prospects we have at a time like this is a near miracle imho!
We need lockdown to be eased long term and BDC to offer funds in the not too distant future, and we'll be back on track before Easy jet employ all their pilots! Nothing short of superb if you ask me!
But Whizzer, the share price is dictated by the retail market - that's us. I don't want the BoD to focus on short term share price at the expense of long term share price. As far as I'm concerned the short term price is irrelevant if the company is either bought out or becomes a medium sized power provider. View the short term price as a life changing opportunity for some people to buy an overlooked share at an absolute bargain. If the current SP was 30p instead of 2p would you sell then? Or would you hold knowing that further rises were on the horizon as the company gets closer to producing power? If you would hold awaiting further rises then the current share price is irrelevant.
If the company actually created value for its holders I wouldn’t be here moaning! But they haven’t created anything but misery for the long term holders! Any long term holders here in profit? Probably not because the bod have been woeful in creating any sort of share holder value!!!
Whizzer, you are hardly being fair on Colm.
You would not expect all Microsoft employees to be able to give to charity in the volumes handed out by Bill Gates , would you?
Colm is a new appointment under TLOU.
Colm joined Tlou in 2009 at the very early stages of the Company's activities and has been with the Company through all phases of its operations and development to date.
He moved to Australia in 2005 and commenced working with an audit and business services firm in Brisbane then later as an independent consultant providing financial and management accounting services.
He may have made a killing at Sunshine and Arrow but the chances are he did not imho.
"Low water levels at the dam have seen the effective power capacity of Zimbabwe’s largest power source reduced from 1,000MW to 600MW."
Poor old Zimbabwe , I bet they are envious of our proposed 2MW for CBM AND Solar combined.
Even 20Mw of each is only a drop in the water?
I really don't know why we are talking HYDRO, all I said was northern countries plan Hydro+Solar, and we are proposing CBM + Solar , i.e. the main source plus Solar to boost it, the coming trend. I was agreeing with you twerp.
Now look at the no of GW not MW in a year, especially the DRY SEASON figures ...... down on the average but still almost 40k GW across Africa ...... CBM is not applicable to many of the tables in the IRENA link as it is not renewable, but still gets the odd mention.
Have you thought about film production, MM, "Carry on Ramping" would be an appropriate title for you.

Whizzer - everyone knows there is little point in getting one's hopes up with your ever-present bulletin board mogadon.
Mm we’re not that lucky! If we were going to be bought out then colm would have put more money into this fund raise as he’s the finance director you’d gave thought he would of seen the value in it! But the twot only put in a pittance compared to tg! It would be nice but think your dreaming to be honest! It seems like your just trying to get people’s hopes up with a bit of a ramp!
That from less than two weeks ago.

Brad - rainfall and hence hydro power is intermittent and unreliable in Southern Africa.
Thus SOLAR:
Both Zimbabwe and Zambia need to diversify away from a reliance on hydropower plants at the Kariba Dam. A long-running drought has recently led to power shortages across both nations. Low water levels at the dam have seen the effective power capacity of Zimbabwe’s largest power source reduced from 1,000MW to 600MW.
In this context, a decision to diversify away from over-reliance on drought-afflicted hydro by building a coal-fired power plant that will rely on water from the Kariba Dam seems questionable at best. Solar power looks far better placed to help Zimbabwe reduce over-reliance on Kariba as well as on power imports from [South Africa]’s Eskom.

I am going by the guy who I was with in hospital. He'd spent most of his working life in Africa and was very bullish about hydro - and doubted Botswana was short of electricity. He was knocking on 90 yrs old , so I thought he was just not up to date since retiring. He didn't say he was familiar with Botswana in particular and he worked with huge engineering companies as a consultant maybe on hydro, which would explain his ignorance about Botswana's power.
He was also quite hard of hearing and I was bed bound so conversations were limited.
Drought is a problem for running water supplies but don't they use dams to get round the intermittent dry spells?
Have you seen Lake Mead? It has a huge generator facility at the Hoover dam (I visited it) and
"Formed by the Hoover Dam on September 30, 1935, the reservoir serves water to the states of Arizona, California, and Nevada, as well as some of Mexico, providing sustenance to nearly 20 million people and large areas of farmland."
Why do you belittle hydro? It is massive! And is no threat to us in Botswana. It's been around for ages.
See page 21 of
https://www.irena.org/documentdownloads/publications/sapp.pdf
Whizzer - our gas reserves our independently certified and huge. You know that, everyone knows that. The only variable unaccounted for is the permeability and the amount of water, as well you also know.
The professionals within large utilities, industrials and miners will see the potential and not wait around in a sellers market.
Hmmmmm.... saw " Have you hit your head or something? What a load of tosh!"
and wondered who thought my noon/midnight post was so silly?
I know several people believe TG is simply repeating his OZ adventures where he sold out as soon as the rewards were worth having.
But he still had time to start a third adventure - and has, big time for us!
This will surely be his swan song imho, so will he just sell up and live out his life with the money in the bank?
Or will he see this through and keep his mind active in the formative stages before relaxing as honourary chairman with a comfortable salary and more than comfortable dividends whilst advising his younger bod?
His shares will allow him to fully retire when he fancies, leaving us the same option , if we are still here.
I wouldn't bet on either but I'd like to see him prove that Botswana was all he cracked it up to be a while back.
Brad - A quick google of hydro power in the SADC/SAPP region will show that it is far from reliable, the whole area being prone to multi-year droughts, exacerbated by GCC:
Drought-prone areas of Botswana, Namibia, and Zimbabwe are likely to be more vulnerable to climate change than the more humid areas of Tanzania or Zambia (IPCC, 2008). In its Fourth Assessment Report, the IPCC has concluded that there is a 90 percent probability that the extent of drought-affected areas will increase.

So mm your expecting us to be bought out even though we can’t produce commercial amounts of gas? Have you hit your head or something? What a load of tosh!
Before lockdown, TLOU said they were shutting down #3 but would continue to dewater #4 - primarily to preserve our cash until autumn. So it may still be in that state Learna until they have funds from this placing , and/or , heaven forbid, funding from BDC.

Have our BOD decided to not bother informing us how the flow rates are going?
The rest of the area are contemplating the same.
They have Hydro-electricity , nice and clean too , and can support it during daylight hours with Solar.
The only water Botswana seems to have in abundance is flowing out of the Lesedi coal seams it seems.
If you really are constantly talking to TLOU, MM, (no wonder it is so slow if you are) what do they think of BPC?
BPC favour dealing with South Africa over local Botswanan companies who won't pay for favours, like being considered for Govt tenders, according to this post. This one rings of truth despite the poster's occasional outlandish claims on other things.
Is BPC big enough to withstand this? We know several top posts are unfilled , including the very top pne, which may have held up back from getting our expected PPA yonks ago. Or was it because we ran out of brown paper bags?

Just to round off yesterday's thread on TLOU now being fully permissions and enabled to generate CBM and Solar:
Any Utility, Industrialist or Miner cannot rely solely on solar for the obvious reasons of nighttime and occasional weather. That's why CBM is key and TLOU's USP. CBM generation will fill in the solar blank spots, enabling an U, I or M to run 24/7 on combined solar and CBM - both cheaper and greener, and more reliable than the current state-owned monopolies of BPC and/or ESKOM.
