Silly story for the weekend ....
Joe wanted to buy a motorcycle. He doesn't have much luck, until one day, he comes across a Harley with a 'for sale' sign on it.
The bike seems even better than a new one, although it is 10 years old. It's shiny and in absolute mint condition.
He immediately buys it and asks the seller how he kept it in such great condition for 10 years.
'Well, it's quite simple really,' says the seller, 'whenever the bike is outside and it's gonna rain, rub Vaseline on the chrome. It protects it from the rain.' (true story)
And he hands Joe a jar of Vaseline.
That night, his girlfriend, Sandra, invites him over to meet her parents. Naturally, they take the bike there.
But just before they enter the house, Sandra stops him and says, 'I have to tell you something about my family before we go in.'
'When we eat dinner, we don't talk. In fact, the first person who says anything during dinner has to do the dishes.'
'No problem,' he says.. And in they go.
Joe is shocked. Right smack in the middle of the living room is a huge stack of dirty dishes.
In the kitchen is another huge stack of dishes. Piled up on the stairs, in the corridor, everywhere he looks. Dirty dishes.
They sit down to dinner, and sure enough, no one says a word.
As dinner progresses, Joe decides to take advantage of the situation.
So he leans over and kisses Sandra.
No one says a word.
So he reaches over and fondles her breasts.
Still, nobody says a word. So he stands up, grabs her, rips her clothes off, throws her on the table and has his way with her, right there in front of her parents.
His girlfriend is a little flustered, her dad is obviously livid and her mom horrified when he sits back down, but no one says a word.
He looks at her mom.
'She's got a great body,' he thinks.
So he grabs the mom, bends her over the dinner table and does the wild thing right there on the dinner table.
After they are thru , he sits down again.
Now his girlfriend is furious and her dad is boiling, the Mom is pleasantly beaming. But still.... Total silence.
All of a sudden there is a loud clap of thunder, and it starts to rain.
Joe remembers his bike, so he pulls the jar of Vaseline from his pocket.
Suddenly the father shouted. 'I'll do the dishes!!'
Huge advert for Hydrogen in the FT today by ENEL.
Google ENEL Green Power North and NextChem.
The project, which is expected to be operational by 2023, will convert renewable energy from an ENEL Group solar plant in the United States into green hydrogen to feed a bio refinery.
Hydrogen does seen to be getting talked about everywhere these days.
I couldn't find a list of "shares in issue" for each new issue , but I'll give MFM full marks because 2016 shows around 210M and we are around 600M , and it is hard to argue that the correlation between 9p and 3p is not as close as it could get.
The intervening period might have produced buying opportunities , but there will be swings and roundabouts, which will dampen them a bit. The company was bound to raise new capital over such a long period with little/no income - and I guess keeping my overall percentage steady is not bad. 600M pot compared to 10Bn at Sirius made it possible at TLOU - in accordance with TG's preference for debt over equity.
Years of repeating the same message here , and on ADVFN , and still you did not get the message Donk!
Most of them are aimed at you after your poisonous posting about useless this and useless that.
If you keep asking if you are stupid, I'll keep answering yes!
I may have been a bit rash with my filter!
MFM & Moagi can you stop cluttering up the board with meaningless posts.
We are sll waiting to find out what Poppy had fot breakfast and how many rats she got last night.
The last post from Brad was one of the best I have ever seen on this board. A vision of the future.
Brad back in 2016 there were far few shares in issue so yes you have more shares but the ultimate value of them has at the same time been diluted. Can you follow that?
Lateral thinking required here MFM.
I first bought into this share at 8p and it touched 10p soon after.
We know where it is now!
If the price had stabilised on or above 8p I'd have a fraction of the number of shares I have now.
So don't tell me I am losing out here!
The price this share will achieve one day is the same now as it was back in 2016 and I'll be several times better off!
It has taken longer to get there than we all hoped for, but get there we will! And imho the target is now higher than it was in 2016 with the prospect of Hydrogen and Solar added in!
Hope you followed that - I think I have difficulty explaining things at your level :O)
Smith - rather than not down what jumps into your head at various times every day, just look back over the previous week posts. It’s all there; repeat repeat and repeat......
Will give you the benefit of this weekend to wean yourself off irrelevant posting given you benched yourself. I guess the only left to tell us is what is for supper
And call me hard nosed but I don't really care if the managements feelings are hurt. TG is a multimillionaire. The vast majority of posters invested in tlou with their hard earned savings are not. They invest in a company and rightly expect a return. Up to this point they have only seen losses and delays. Fact. There is a time cost to money tied up for years on end and with absolutely no guarantees of returns it is a big risk. That risk will be massively mitigated with a) Funding, b) Full PPA c) Connection to the grid. When these things are achieved then we can start back slapping the management for a job well done!
Jotting down TLOU related thoughts before you forget them not a problem.
Writing reams of other stuff that is of no interest to the vast majority of posters here, Poppy, your frequent trader status, your isa, your options, your ebay buys, your eBay sells, your mouse problem, your health problems, the list is endless.
The board will be as busy as the company is. If they give us something to discuss I'm sure we will discuss it. I'm in five stocks and there is no shortage of discussion on any of them for 90% of the time and none of them have a 'Brad' so I wouldn't worry about conversation drying up!
We need to agree to disagree MFM.
MM's disingenous word comes to mind!
The board do not "keep saying it's imminent or really close"!
FFS it was tantalising close for one period , and Colm got a little carried away with the excitement!
The board are more ****ed off than we are at the lack of urgency in Govt quarters - but cannot tell us that explicitly for fear of burning their bridges to the best solution, A govt/Tlou partnership for most of our lifetimes!
As for "management need to demonstrate that they can get over the line with the major hurdles that have plagued us for years namely the full PPA and funding" we are in the realms of Donk's civil war! It takes two to tango and the Govt have yet to wear their dancing shoes far less put an arm on our shoulder or around our waist.
Why don't you see how that reads? It is the equivalent of saying "you a little bit incompetent TG and Co" when they need our encouragement to keep pressing for the ideal solution!
If you are 100% behind TLOU, what on earth % does MM and I merit (plus many other less regular contributors who post good news when they see it)?
Time for a Poppy walk!
I have taken all the filters away on this board because I am not following this board as a priority anymore.
It has been my home page for years. When you grow up MFM and your short-term memory starts to fail more often than it does currently, you'll possibly (though I doubt it tbh) realise that when something pops into your head that you'll forget within a few minutes, it is best to jot it down immediately. My so called rambling is recording my thoughts in real-time before I forget them.
I am not guilty of wasting everbody's time, how many times have I suggested people filter me? Multi-messages in one post are not so irritating as a succession of one liner memos in green. My gut feeling is that I post more on-topic posts than any other posters. I'm a tiny bit sorry , it is also true of off-topic posts too , but we'll soon see how busy this board is going to be from now on.
Deramping? You couldn't leave without a parting shot could you. I've never deramped this company or any company I'm invested in it would be the height of stupidity in my book. I've been 100% consistent in my views here that we need to pick up the pace and management need to demonstrate that they can get over the line with the major hurdles that have plagued us for years namely the full PPA and funding. To keep saying it's imminent or really close or expected this quarter and then another quarter goes by and it doesn't turn up is what does the shareprice damage because investors lose patience and lose confidence in what they're being told. People aren't stupid and there's only so long they'll keep accepting what they're told when the facts are telling them something different!
To be absolutely clear Brad, I'm 100% behind this company and believe they have huge potential (otherwise I wouldn't be invested here) but I want to see the funding and the full PPA completed in Q2, no ifs no buts and no more excuses.
Having considered what is going on here, I'm going to join the many respectable posters who gave up posting yonks ago, because flogging dead horses was not their style.
MFM, had one thing right, Donk and I complemented each other but rarely complimented anything that was said.
I simply studied everything surrounding TLOU strategy believing TG is the Alex Ferguson of CBM.
Donk looked everywhere else to find what was going to cripple the company. He even reached Somalia!
Was he trying to protect us from ourselves? Or was he trying to keep the price low? Or both?
His style of not listening to reason caught on, Whizzer and now MFM deliberately misunderstanding posts or are they true dunderheads.
I think the sensible investors are sick of the contrived arguments and are waiting, not long now, for actions to speak louder than words. I'm going to join them and let the cretins do their best to ruin the company. Without ammunition to fire it should be obvious that they are derampers.
Whizzer and Donk have moderated their deramping so MFM has stepped up. Who will be next?
I'm off to join BTS, and others, averaging down is now the name of the game.
