"disruptive" surinrog...........!
Great word......... and Poly4 being the "disruptive" product in the commercial world of fertiliser is putting the pepper pig up those that produce fertiliser ATM.......... :)
Also, The Fool is trying to be "disruptive" with SP.......... for some reason.......... :()
All the best (what a word :)
Whoever brought Pepper Pig on to this board.............. I thank you :()
Hi Myosotis,
Yes I am targeted by lots of MF rubbish. The truth about MF is they very rarely have anything to say other than repeating what is already known combined with their own views which I am not interested in. Individuals views are what they are. For investors hard facts are of much greater importance. In the case of Sirius, progress, the quality of their construction contractors, their PR etc etc, but of greatest importance is the product. Poly 4 will be a very disruptive addition to the market which will upset many. The financing cannot be influenced by pi's so best left to the experts which in the case of Sirius we are fortunate to have. Like many on this board I am nursing a large paper loss with an average price of 22.6 but am confident the mine will be built with us pi's still on-board.
Mrs Bottom did buy her own shares with her own money ant it was her deciecion however I may have been a little more encouraging than I should have been.
I have a feeling she'll thank me in the end. (its then I'll wish I was back in the doghouse lol)
Myo, the Google News feed is governed by an organic algorithm. Nobody is paying directly for news stories to appear or prioritise in a news feed.
Where it all gets murky ie paid-to-potentially-manipulate is in paid social ads in people's social feeds, eg Facebook, powered by user behaviour and click/response data processed and used by businesses like Cambridge Analytica.
So, only if you started getting Sirius-related news (positive or negative) then that could be paid-to-potentially-manipulate activity by someone, eg a hedge fund to spread negative paid content/ads.
But just news on its own is down to the news originator (but maybe they were themselves influenced under the radar to write that positive or negative coverage).
Who'd've thought that some may try to manipulate such a project............!
the 20p PP trolls are small fry in comparison............ :()
All the best (we need Facebook with Cambridge Analytica on side :)
Myo - Oh I agree, it's a murky world, and most people wouldn't give the articles a second thought if they knew, but to an inexperienced investor, MF is probably one of the first new sources they will see on any company and probably think they offer reputable insight.
Hi mYO
Yes both me and Mrs Bottomline get a constant stream of negative articles on our Google front page.
Its the reason I'm in the doghouse :-(
MG85
Oh we've noticed.
It's a bit of a stand up joke around these parts.
Haven't you heard: we're going to name out container ships Motley Fool and Mr Crumb.
MG85, as mentioned on here a while ago. The writers get paid I think £45 an article to write those. They are essentially opinion pieces that you or I could write and probably get paid for.
I'd take what they say with a pinch of salt!
MG85 - They also quite often post articles recommending a buy.
Its almost like they're spamming articles for shares that have a heavy PI interest in the hope they can get subscribers
Mg85, I think we can all remember what we did when our parents told us not to do something ; )
Has anyone else noticed that the Motley Fool is constantly publishing negative articles on Sirius?
