you almost had me going there PAA .then I remembered about the crash for cash scams .we have post codes in my neck of the woods where it's difficult to get car insurance because the area is blighted by theses villains . and what about the food poisoning scams rife with certain holiday makers .love my country but well aware that the flip side of compassion is soft touch
Could be worse, could be in Syria.but although what you could be saying GreatBritian had it's day's like any country through the centuries,Having to rely on soft power.
PAAA,well said!

“ We live in a society that rewards non workers with a house enormous benefits to breed large familes who continue the cycle.”
——-
No. We live in a civilised society that cares for its most vulnerable. Thank goodness. That some people choose to exploit such compassion, should reflect upon them as individuals and not society at large.
And this country is not **** as you rather inelegantly and unfairly put it. Even with all of its current troubles and recriminations I’m still proud of my country. It’s unfortunate you’re not.
per ardua ad astra
Enormous benefits eh, if this is the case, swap with them so that you can live in the most deprived areas of the country. Get a grip, we have a social safety net to look after the poor and the less wealthy, in turn we don’t have anarchy because of it.
We live in a society that rewards non workers with a house enormous benefits to breed large familes who continue the cycle. Look at the fanfare over North Sea oil and how it would help everyone. All the income from oil has gone on our ever growing benefits system. Now look at the Norwegian Wealth fund the largest in the world. They put all their oil money in it to grow for future generations and prosperity. This country is S***. Hard working people get little thanks or reward. Great new companies given no backing. One day and it will not be long we will not even own our own country as every prosperous company and utility will be owned by foreign countries wealth and equity funds. We have all been sold down the river for years. I am no longer proud to say I am British as to be honest its embarrassing. to admit it.
No Bishop 190, it’s was one of out illustrious regional electricity companies. A good place to work but safety although extremely important was taken so far as to feel like persecution.
@Bellers "Company I just retired from would sooner you reverse into a space and put a sticker on your car than actually get to work and do your job"
Was it a multinational based in Sunbury on Thames ? I worked there for a bit, what a daft fuss about parking they made.
Fastjet. Ur right. Company I just retired from would sooner you reverse into a space and put a sticker on your car than actually get to work and do your job. It’s a strange world we now live in. I wonder how it would be if we had to walk to work every day? Sorry everyone....now I’m in my last few years of life and contemplate on what I’m leaving for my kids( shares and pensions and property apart) I actually wish we could revert to the late 70s. Obviously not to the medical 70s but to the days when I actually loved to go to work and ENJOYED it. :-(
Thanks guys, I know I should react to the trolls/derampers, I don't usually to be fair, will defiantly try harder to ignore them, hopefully they have had their window to be able to bash the sp and once next news is out we see a re rate.
JR
CF also had a point when he stated that Administration was likely if the JPM ST2 finance deal fell through.
Any investment strategy from here should mindful of that,I’m sure yours is.
A cautious approach....
I think you are a decent chap also JR !!
Although overly optimistic at times but you & the rest of us will have the last laugh if this turns around.(if not then we rolled the dice & will have to live with the outcome)
On a serious note though don't feel you have to justify yourself to these idiots & keep up the posting & just don't bite so easily to their bait
Hi. There are a few posters who are clearly very knowledgeable re Sirius and mining. There are some who have paper losses (me included). Some who are posting in good faith. It is a tetchy time for us and it is a pity about all the sniping and picking up of typos then needless corrections, defences and attacks. I am relatively new to this board and it certainly covers a range of comments, views and insults. I like the filter function!
Thanks to those who have posted sincere good information, I am sure it is not just me who appreciates it.
Anyway, it looks like we will soon find out what is in store for us shareholders and I hope that everyone overturns their paper losses. Good luck to the good guys and gals.
GEC
Agreed!
Well in that case CF had a point then didn't he, obviously people shouldn't invest in shares based on what they read on BB's, if thats what they are doing then that isn't a good strategy and they should take advise from financial professionals like quite a few LTH's have.
It would influence people as much as the people who come on here to say they have sold up because there is no hope.
So when it goes back up they will be back in profit quicker and they will ultimately end up with bigger gains in the future.
I don't think Iv'e posted on here everytime I've bought, in fact I know that the majority of the time I haven't posted when I have bought, to be fair you have people come on here and say that they have sold X amount of shares for whatever reason so there's no difference is there, surely you arnt suggesting that other people would buy on the back on me stating that I've had a little top up?
But why the need to repeatedly tell everyone you’re buying?
I didn't give any recommendation in my post with regards to what others do though did I? everyone has to weigh everything up before they decide whether to buy, sell, hold or not invest at all.
i'm sure there are some who bs on here but if i was like that then I would surely try and depict myself as being in a better position then I am wouldn't I, I mean I'm 75 % down at the moment so nothing to be happy about is it, today was in fact my 35th buy, in the past when I bit at a deramper/troll I preceded to post every single trade that I had made up until that point, I could do the same again to prove that I'm not full of bs but fellow LTH's on here know that I am genuine I think and thats all that that matters to me really.
Tex
Completely agree.
There are a few repeat offenders on here who constantly state what they have bought and topped up... no way to prove or disprove. Absolutely pointless.
' the 35 th time I've bought shares is SXX' …..and 2 people have ticked you up .why don't you listen to Sir Chris and seek some professional advice
Unfortunately, every bulletin board for a tanking share has people who repeatedly tell everyone they are topping up ( usually on almost a daily basis :-)). “It’s a great price to top up”. Bla bla bla
My sceptical side tells me it’s BS most of the time, done for obvious reasons which I don’t need to explain.

:)
All the best (keep it up ;)
