Good to hear that Sheila Fleet appears to be keeping faith. It was something that had crossed my mind after the recent morale-busting RNSs. We have, not unnaturally, been focusing on ourselves as investors in this disappointment, but I was wondering how relaxed the company's actual customers have been at the non-existence of any product so far.
GG, if you were able to view all the posts removed from this board in the last 10 years, you would be appalled. ADVFN seems to still tolerate it, though I don't view it. This board has become largely civilized in recent years.
I got an email from Sheila Fleet today saying that they hope to receive more Scottish gold in the summer. Here's hoping that they do and then BBC Scotland/OU can film a 4th episode for the documentary series om Cononish starting 9pm Sunday. The email mentioned the documentary and said it will be on other channels too (Freeview Channel 108, Sky 115, Freestart 106, Virgin Media 108 and possible ‘plus one’ channels.).
Happy viewing all, R.
I was also going to say that I have seen some really nice photos of inside the plant room this week, so I know its not an empty shed :-) Some very impressive kit, a bit shinier than you would want for mining equipment but hopefully it will be looking well used soon.
Thanks everyone for the explanations and comments, very good to hear the mine costs are in such good shape. Sorry to hear there has been dastedly goings on, I had no idea that sort of thing even happened but I guess it should come as no surprise, someone always tries to ruin the good things hey! It's Friday, sun is shining up here today, no hurcules yet but come 5pm I am sure they will make an apperance. Keep positive and have a good weekend GG
Evening.
"The ADVN posts are mischievious."
A masterpiece of tact and understatement.
You are to be commended, sincerely.
From 30th Nov 2020 ''· Recalculated model using the accelerated Phase 2 development strategy and gold and silver prices of £1,400/oz and £19.23/oz respectively deliver highly attractive Life of Mine ('LOM') economics:''GG these were the figures used on that date as an illustration of economics at the above prices. The actual costs are as TB1872 posted,The ADVN posts are mischievious.
Thank you TB, very informative indeed and great to read that they have such low costs, one less hurdle and all that. Thanks again GG
gravelguy,
Scotgold have some of the lowest costs in the mining industry and some of the highest grades , they also receive a premium on the Scottish Gold produced on site which is quoted at in excess of 30% above spot.
Scotgold's Average all in sustaining cost (AISC) are £461.24/oz
In short Scotgold can survive at a very low gold price but you won't hear that from the pr man on the other channel . He has actually more or less said he is only out for revenge, if you choose to read back on his posting history you'll find his exact quote, personally I wouldn't give him air time.

Hi. RM - I took your advice and checked ADVFN today, it makes a bit more sense now, obviously some ill feeling about which is a shame. One thing I did see and would like an opinion from anyone who may know is regarding this statement from a post on that site -
"The price of gold continues to fall and is now £175 below the £1400/oz level on which the life-of-mine economics are now based"
I have googled this and spent a little bit of time trying to find out if this is true but cant find this magic figure. Seems strange to be able to put an exact figure on the gold price to make a mine viable, there are so many other variables in play. If the gold price drops below this figure do all mines down tools? That said my knowlege of mining is as deep as my knowledge of the stock market so I'm in no place to say.
If anyone knows I would be interested to hear. Thanks GG
https://www.heraldscotland.com/business_hq/19122770.scotgold-boss-steps-covid-hits-mine-plan/. Depressing relying on Covid and loans at this stage, following the wait for the big pour that became a damp squib IMO it feels a bit like side stepping
I don't do Twitter myself, TB1872, but I'm heartened if the new regime is exploiting all available media to keep in the limelight. In the past communications from SGZ have been not greatly different than the days when you had to wait for a sailing ship to arrive with news from afar.
