You could get your 8p. At this time it's business as usual. Have the new investors not learnt anything from Sdx history or do they have different intentions.
One thing I haven't seen mentioned: They've borrowed $2.5M so they now have total cash of $15.27M. I wonder why they've done that.
Getting close tor my repurchase price of 8p. Malcy's view seems reasonable:
"As Mark says in his comments above the operational performance has been pretty good with the one exception at West Gharib. He also says that it has been overshadowed by corporate activity.
I would contend from what I know about the company being touted around for the best part of two years they are well rid of the previous major holders and are hoping that things are about to change. Let’s hope that Aleph have the cheque book out otherwise it will more of the same."
Barhut,I understand your emotional reaction to the history here and may well wish to keep the the price low by small sells until they reveal the plan. However any take over ,private or otherwise will need to convince all us smaller stakeholders and anything under 15p wont work. They dont have enough shares on their own to bulldoze anything through
I agree the change in investors can be taken to be a positive, but without knowing what they intend to do you are gambling on assuming they have good intentions. They may wait until the share price has fallen to a new low and try to take it private as they do own 26 percent of the company as tenaz was after a merger not buying it out. It just makes investor sense to wait and hear first.
Barhut,we are in a new situation now.Waha have gone ,replaced by a new consortium who have done due diligence and decided to invest big and scuppered the Tenaz merger. If you wait for the plan you could well miss the boat.If you are too cautious why are still invested here ?
Going on the history performance of this share I wouldn't advise anyone to purchase more at this time until we here from the new investors of there intentions. They need to put some money into this company going forward.
It is very odd but I have bought small parcels of shares over the past week and all but one have been shown as sells on this site
We are all here because we feel the company is undervalued.Tenaz thought so,the new grouping think so and the analysts think so.SDX is tiny and there is almost no institutional interest so the market in them is moved by small dealings.Unless the financials are poor ,value always comes out eventually. The new group will sort this out in due course. In the meantime I am adding when I can and advise you to do so.If all we private shareholders do that then the sp may creep back before the big plan is announced
I know it's only 20k but wasn't that how the market makers took it down last time. My point is nothing has changed yet until they reveal their intentions and asap. Just don't want this going back to 8 p with the 2 muppets carrying on as usual.
Less than £20k in dealings. That says nothing about the market.
Difficult to understand the drop size? Could the new group be taking it down to take it private?
This is exactly what's starting to happen.
We need direction and a plan , asap. The new investors must have had some idea of this before making such a big decision to invest. So tell us before Market makers start running this down on £50 sells.
It appears to me that the new shareholders are serious players. They wouldnt have got involved otherwise.
Yes, but how can they help? Leaving the chuckle brothers to 'crack on' hardly leaves me with much confidence
I get your point. It is a balance. They need to spend capex to fulfill contracts but should also be looking to build the company. Hopefully this new group will help with that.
You're missing my point. Spending all your cashflow on capex isn't a problem if it's going to lead to significant growth in reserves & production.
If you're spending all your cashflow on capex and your reserves & production are falling then you have a massive problem. You're not even running to stand still because this is depletion business and eventually you run out of resources.
If you buy shares and expect something transformational to happen you are inevitably going to be disappointed.Just buy shares with solid assets and financial stability when they seem undervalued and wait for price recovery.
The last target that was going to be transformational was a duster, and certainly transformed the company!
The problem is they're exploring for tiny targets. It's to replace existing reserves, not transform the company.
That’s what exploration companies do !
The reduction in capex was most striking for me, but still - spending all the fcf on capex
