http://www.branduk.net/tag/eeqp/ It’s in this report too. ‘SALV will retain around 100,000,000 shares in the shell’.
They stated that 87% of the shares would be distributed to the SALV shareholders...by my calcs that leaves 13% of the shares in SALV? Somewhere the maths is wrong. My calcs are based on 13% of the shares given to SALV by Portage. So either some have gone elsewhere or the maths on the RNS is wrong (more likely the one you read as mine is in the valuation report). Either way...big sum of money that will only get bigger when the new Portage portfolio starts to blossom.
I hope you’re right Quint, the more Portage Biotech shares SalvaRx is holding the better. I got my figures from the 08/01/19 SalvaRx RNS. There may be something I’ve missed. It states they have retained 56 million Portage Biotech shares, then worth just under £4.65 million.

Thanks for sharing the calculation. And if we divide £8,884,198 by 37 million issued Salv shares we get 24p .... around the current mid of a very wide spread. I dipped a tentative toe in at 22.4p a few days ago, hopefully a good decision. On any reasonable news this should rise abruptly although it might be a while ...

Hi...’would have’ not ‘wouldn’t have’. As for the calcs...I may be £1m out....SALV sold for 805,070,067 shares...13% retained by SALV = 104,659,109 x 0.11 (closing price on 17th) = $11,512,502...to pounds = £8,884,198. Around £9m at the latest closing price. So let’s see what Intensity does to the Portage price and hence the potential locked away in SALV!
Quint. Did you say that SalvaRX holds around £10million worth of Portage Biotech shares ? At its current price I calculate it to be worth around £4.8m at 0.11US$. I also intend to hold these long term. Both Portage Biotech and SalvaRx have so much potential.
Hello again, Quint!
Thanks for your reply! Just one teensy question - when you wrote in your reply "woukdnhave", is that "would have" or "wouldn't have"? I'm just a bit confused by the "n" in the middle of the word and that you may be writing in some kind of Scottish dialect or something! Which is it, please? I suspect it's a typo because the "n" is very near the space bar, but you never know!
I don’t intend to trade mine until i’ve Had a few massive dividends so can wait months if needs be! ielts23 SALV hols approx £10m in Portage shares based on the current SP. should SALV delist, that woukdnhave to be distributed between us holders so you wouldn’t loose much beyond what you bought at. The upside...even in a cash shell without ANY investments can be massive. Have seen them multibag on thin air! But these guys (BOD) have stated that they are in the process of finding new targets for SALV. With their track record...I don’t doubt them so I would say that we are here...at the bottom awaiting the rumours to hit and then the news! Just look at the BOD and do some research on the companies surrounding them...Intensity itself, Insillico, Juvenescence....it will be along those lines I would imagine. In the meantime enjoy the Portage ride!
Just spoken to H-L and they are not able to trade Portage, as not in Crest. They are in the process of setting a third party dealing situation and will advise when this has been completed. Not clear on timescale but sounded like it could take a while. Lets hope for some positive Intensity news in the meantime!
Sorry about that! I had actually asked how much Portage shares were in a previous post, but, for some reason, it didn't arrive! Brexit?
I've found it!Sell:$0.095 Buy:$0.12 No change Market closed | Prices as at close on 18 January 2019 | Turn on streaming prices
Portage shares showing in my Hl account but Halifax are lagging behind as per usual!
Hi there, Quint!
Firstly, can I thank you for all the information that you have so generously shared with everybody on this board over the last few weeks! It's been incredibly useful! Like you, I'm a great believer in doing all the donkey work before I make an investment decision - even if it takes me weeks! - because, as you say, all the information is out there, if you can be bothered to look for it!
I was wondering if you could answer a question for me. I have exposure to SalvaRx (SALV) via Pires (PIRI), but I was thinking about getting more SalvaRx shares, as well. In your most recent post, you said "We all know that they would delist in 6 months if no RTO took place but a) we’d get a payout from the Portage shares they hold in that case and b) it won't happen as those involved certainly have targets in mind already."
By "they", I assume you mean SalvaRx. (Am I correct about that?). My question is this: If I buy more SalvaRx shares now, would I lose my entire investment, if SalvaRx delist in 6 months, if no RTO takes place - or, would I also "get a payout from the Portage shares they hold"? I hope that question is clear enough! Please, feel free to ask me any questions, if you need to.
Many thanks in advance,
ielts23
Thanks Quint. Very reassuring explanation.
Hi...no shares trading in the US as it has been a holiday. Firstly...SALVis ticking along fine. It will be reversed into as soon as the Portage price is high enough to allow it. Secondly...I had to wait 2/3 weeks before my brokers (Halifax) sorted out the i3 share allocation from GWIK. There will be no further comms from the company re. Share allocations as it’s no longer down to them...they’ve done their bit. It’s a case of how long each broker takes to actually sort them out! Expecting start of next week for mine in HL/Halifax but could be sooner. Eyes on Intensity tweets this week. I expect big news is very close following their meetings at the J P Morgan healthcare conference. Portage will be significantly higher over the next few weeks as that story develops! Great time to be invested....SALV will be a welcome bonus WHEN they RTO. The Northern Capital issue has nothing to do with SALV delisting...they are merely informing of a change of broker. We all know that they would delist in 6 months if no RTO took place but a) we’d get a payout from the Portage shares they hold in that case and b) it won't happen as those involved certainly have targets in mind already. Both are a strong hold...just a reminder that Portage was 6x the price it is now just before the Biohaven list. They now have 10 shots at repeating this....Intensity is nailed on near term. Enjoy!!
I was wondering the same. There are no updates from either Portage or Salvarx. Has anyone else received from their broker news about a possible delisting of Salvarx regarding Northland Capital? Not quite sure how that will play into it all. Also has trading ceased with Portage since the 17th? The sp hasn't moved. Haven't a clue what's going on!!
Do we know when portage shares will be issued / any update. Not had much info from HL, does anyone have any news?
Yes eagerly awaiting the Portage shares too. It's been an interesting journey to here. I came to Salv as a 3legs holder and only got interested in 3legs because I was/am a san leon (sle) holder which itself came via a tip from a work colleague. Still waiting for sle to deliver but looking promising now, as is Portage and as many have said the salv shell could go anywhere.

thank you for your help and will get that form filled today, yes i think its well worth holding the portage shares rather than go for a quick profit, im looking at the bigger picture as you are, thanks again
No problem...glad you benefitted too...looking great so far! To trade in US stocks you will need to fill in the W-8BEN form which should be somewhere on your trading platform website. Don’t worry if you can’t find it as they will guide you through it anyway when you receive your shares. It’s a maverick piece of business...expect a few bags on Portage as the ‘Intensity fever’ develops! Anything possible then with the SALV shell!! Good luck...hopefully a few ‘Biohaven-like’ dividends coming our way soon!!
morning Quint, i know the deals been done by Portage and everything should be concluded by the end of Jan, do i need to get any paperwork signed up before hand, i've just got back from work so not fully up to speed, id also like to thank you as your the one that brought this share to my attention, i went away and did some reading and thought yes will get some of theses, i see we also have the shares at 20p, the talk of the RTO could also pay off big style for us, will by more of the 20p shares soon, thanks again
Thanks Quint. Fingers crossed!
I3 shares too about 2 weeks to hit my account when GWIK dishes them out. So guessing similar. The BOD are very clever...lots of news coming from Intensity...will be an easy bag from here.
It has a massive spread as of last week it sold its entire portfolio to Portage Buotech in exchange for shares...which us lucky investors now hold. However...as earlier explain, SALV retained about £10m worth of Portage shares as working capital to fund and RTO. MMS struggling to value it...but soon Portage will...or a classy RTO! The spread will start to close as more people buy into the shell.
