Apologies all, not deramping. Just unbelievably annoyed. I looked at starting up a business about 10 years ago (retail), and even then I'd already put in my business plan:
Company name/registering
website (kept up to date in line with business movements)
various permits that need to be sorted/agreed
trademark process
5yr financials with estimated income and profit-making boundary
MARKETING / flyers / top 10 advertisement methods per domain (10 for print, 10 for online (pre-instagram/influencers), 10 for events/festivals)- the period of time I would have used for this depends on the method/cost per market penetration "how did you hear about us" on the online buying page.
Google analytics and Google rankings boosting
Took me about a month to isolate all of these on my own and how to do it. Just needed to click 'go'. Then I got a good job and didn't have time to actually activate the business.
Like. Seriously. I'm not even in marketing. I'd at least get the Amazon listinsg CORRECT and include 'anti-viral' in the header.
We can only hope that this is all ready to go but for some reason it's being kept back. I know the idea would be for the distributors to get this mask advertised, but at least the 'P' in PR should be everyone. so if the person deciding on tenders also saw this information somewhere outside their tender stream, or they also have contacts who mentioned this mask to them then it all helps, on a very personal and sales level, to reinforce that this is the best route to go.
Mararab - Sure, totally agree.
But how can you battle if you have no PR, market penetration, Online presence, or full page adverts in a series of specific journals/relevant magazines. I have not read it but I am sure 'Dentists monthly" has not, to date, had an advert for these masks. It's almost July 2021.
i think we all seem to forget it does take time to set up a new product , machine etc and get this to market , AS THE RMS SAID WE ARE BATTLING AGAINST CHEAP MASKS THAT WAS NOT OUR MARKET , WE COULD NOT COMPETE SELLING TO THE PUBLIC . now we have clear strategy and got rid of loss making side of tye business let hope we can become a leader in this technology . Before you comment how long would you take to start a new product and get it to market with limited funds , i bet 1 to 2 years
Staffy - I don't think so otherwise they wouldn't have told us that all of that, the ink, the fabrics, the supplier, supplyline etc have no problems anymore (5th May RNS update). We'd be in a dangerous place if we second guess every single thing in the RNSs. I would at least like to believe they wouldn't state outright untruths, just omit or obfuscate whats actually happening.
Here's to good news, sharpish.
i do wonder if there might be problems with the manufacture of the material the masks are made from?? which p2p have no control over. it would certainly explain a lot.
The Govnor78... Spot on.
Great post the Guvnor, I’ve said it before on numerous occasions, this company is run like faulty towers lol, however, I think company has now turned a new leaf, I believe there will be no more shenanigans and incompetence and sp will grow month on month. I really liked the last RNS’s, to me it shows, we finally have direction.
JP - "It seems like they've just been playing at running a business..." Absolutely spot on. That's been going through my mind as well. "Let's not focus on the problem at hand let's do a strategic review and mess about with the company structure but not actually get our **** together".
I hope you have all written strongly worded emails to RMS to that effect? rms@investor-focus.co.uk
JP I fear your right about the good Dr and his real passion is rightly making a difference In the world which whilst being a great moral stance it means that he isn't the right person to be anywhere near the BOD. I'm afraid this is one of the reasons why iv taken the decision to lock this away for 12 months and hopefully pull back some of my losses. It will take months for the reality to kick in and for the new CEO to get there teeth into this and history would suggest that there won't be any big contracts coming soon . With a fair wind and some new products with decent sentiment some of us may get back to 3 p in the future . Patience is the only way forward here and for Gareth to invent in the background ! All in my opinion and prob what's going keep me sain! Oh that and a bit of luck in crypto
GLA
The Heathrow tender sounded like it was made for us. They want surgical masks not reusable ones but are looking for the best that they can find to limit spread of the infection. Our antiviral masks with 7 hours use are a perfect fit.
BUT that's not just at Heathrow..If it's good for Heathrow it's most likely going to be good for every other airport too Gatwick, Manchester, Leeds-Bradford,Glasgow,City etc. etc.. the list goes on. Not even mentioning overseas airports. There is your list of prospects Dr C. Get a sales team to contact every airport. The sales team needs a subsistence basic salary and a juicy bonus that they only get if they make sales. It's how all other sales teams work. They don't give them a bunch of free shares up front for nowt and let them sit on their hands.
TheGuvnor78, brilliant post. The thing is mate The Dr isn't in it for the money, and therein lies a major problem. We needed professionals who knew how to promote and sell the mask, but for some obscure reason the bod seemed happy to just let it all drift along. It seems like they've just been playing at running a business because surely they would have promoted this mask everywhere, every social media platform going but instead they haven't employed the right pr team or sales experts, it appears they even stopped Virion selling the mask. If they did why did they do that when virion were the only ones seemingly selling the mask. In his interview with zak mir, the Dr stated he realised shareholders were out of pocket having bought in at 7p and intimated new products and some good news the end of May and that he could see us being back at 6p/7p and beyond, but I'm afraid the news never came and on the evidence of his posts/twitter feeds, recent interview I'm afraid i don't have much confidence in what he says anymore unfortunately. I mean he had the World's first covid killing mask during a world pandemic and he and the bod couldn't sell it. Meanwhile, the shareholders who got sucked in by the dr and bod in November are still nursing massive financial losses with what appears to be no hope of ever recouping those losses. Shambles doesn't even cut it imo.
It concerns me every time they say things like, the new CEO will be a scientist or science will be at the heart of what they do. Not because it shouldn't but because they are ignoring the glaring gap in their business acumen.
It's not the science that has caused this share to go sub 1p. Why do they think strengthening the science will sort it? Gyro is full of scientists that have done diddly squat and wasted £500k. Is this what Cave aspires to do?
It seems to be these academics think that they know better than the rest of us because they live in their ivory towers and everyone has always told them how good they are. This is the real world. There is no resting on laurels. Put up or shut up.
Girlscouts could have sold this mask better.
I do still believe in the IP and the product but they must recognise that they need help in the business and sales department. They just seem to want to run the company as their little research lab.
Here is an article on Sky News from 19th May 2021 discussing Masks in their entirety and their pro's and con's. There is no mention of our masks! Why? Do we have anyone working on our publicity? I find it shambolic.
https://news.sky.com/story/covid-19-the-best-and-worst-face-masks-on-the-high-street-revealed-as-which-says-some-have-alarming-flaws-12310479
Which Magazine tested "27 of the best Face Masks," again, we didn't get a mention, there was however a mask on their survey which costs £6.25 which doesn't even kill the virus. Why do we not even make it to the dizzy heights of the which Magazine's top 27 Masks?
Also, if you Google "best face masks" We do not even appear.
If you google "Covid Killing Mask," Pharm2Pharm or even Pro Larva do not have direct links and are only mentioned by associated news links, again, this is shambolic.
Even if you google "Pro Larva Mask," we appear 9th on the list, again Shambolic. A 10 year old would be able to optimise our online presence more efficiently than the incumbent imbeciles who also see fit to propose potentially writing off Half a Million Pounds worth of loans and paying off the debts of Gyrometric.
I was frustrated enough when the infamous Mask Machine's arrival was delayed and delayed and delayed and its commission was further delayed ironically by the two Spanish Installers being tested Positive for Covid-19 and having to isolate (as they were obviously the only two guys in the world qualified and capable of commissioning the machine and our company were obviously not in any rush to bring a product to a market which crying out and begging for PPE) but my frustration has now turned into reticence.
I apologise for my somewhat bitter diatribe, but buying in at 4.3 and 3.6 is frustrating.
Lastly, I now find it amusing that during a Pandemic, we as a company who have a game changing product, a Covid-19 Killing Mask, have failed to even make a penny. It is embarrassing and inexcusable. It would maybe even cheer me up if our masks at least had a prominent presence on Google, but it would seem that that is beyond the capabilities of our PR team who over the last 12 months have had been waylaid with more pressing issues than making us profitable, or even us having a presence in the public eye. I will not sell my shares and will exercise more patience, but will take satisfaction in the fact that this post will be read by the incompetent Muppets who are responsible for not making all of us a fortune, months ago.......
I f I am wrong, I welcome anyone to pull me into the office and educate me.
