So wolves, contracts are now 28 hours or about £15000 per year because like Amazon, nobody wants the hours. Rubbish.
The lazy people are the ones with the obvious signs of laziness, we are not allowed to say it these days,it is not pc, but been around a long time and the lazy signs are all too obvious, some cultures it is a sign of wealth.
I hear a lot about "lazy English", I have worked in my career and it happens that there have been far and few "lazy English". Where are they, not in my circles of work, was this the justification for mass immigration from the business elite.
normal you say royal mail is a bad employer?..... most newcomers these days want only part time as they get tax credits created by a labour government.... they can have as much overtime as they want but refuse due to tax credits...………….same as the unemployed quote"not gonna work for an extra £30.due to the benefit system....thats why we got migrants doing the jobs of lazy uk people..... and then slate them for taking their jobs.... you gorra larf
You could not be more wrong if you tried
From what I gather, majority of staff are on part time contracts, already. Not enough to support a family. A sort of halfway house to 0 hours, and rely on any opportunity to work ovrtime. This is already a poor employer on this, aspect alone and people complain they are overpaid.
Totally agree my postie is fab but I also know that he struggles. He has a young family and I often see him elsewhere as he takes on additional hours when he can get them. I could understand the comment if they were getting "fat cat wages" but they clearly don't . It's just one of those broad brushstroke comments . Rico might well have bought shares but look at what he earns and his "golden hello" how wise was that? He may well prove to be worth every penny of his large salary but don't try and persuade me that the postie doesn't deserve his.
Most of the postman I've known over 20 years have been hardworking caring individuals ..if like you suggest RM cut staff cut wages etc you can expect a lower quality of service to go with it...
