"could be someone wanting to buy 600,000 but quoted a silly price. Buying 300,000 offered a better price but the second 300,000 saw a significant uplift in offer price"
Lol , that's gonna keep me smiling all day.
Rock on Wonga!!
Yep. Just made a cuppa.
Ha. Paints just dried in the kitchen and the kettle has boiled.....
Could something be about to happen!!!!!!
if it had been 2 x buys the SP would have risen, it didn't so it's a rollover.
Perhaps I should have added, I have experienced this myself. Say I wanted to buy 500,000 and the offer price is 4.25p, however, I can buy 250,000 at 4.12p and 250,000 at 4.14p within a minute of each other. It costs me the extra dealing charge but is worth doing to effectively save £600.
Maybe someone who is sick from 1-100 trades from someone who wants to manipulate or push down the stock with a small purse.
And if so, I can just agree with him.
Not necessarily a rollover, could be someone wanting to buy 600,000 but quoted a silly price. Buying 300,000 offered a better price but the second 300,000 saw a significant uplift in offer price
Its a rollover with 300,000 trade 2 mins apart @ 4.50.
2 x 300,000 rollovers have been reported this morning.
Trade just gone thru at 4.50
Nothing too unusual. The spread always opens high on the bell so the MM’s don’t get caught out. If it was over 1m+ shares I’d probably be more interested.
Sorry 4,45
Someone bought 300,000 shares at 4,40 this morning, am I missing something?
No, our interest in oil sands is purely with Greenfield.
Thanks Salinger... Realised that after I posted.... Might still be some deal going on
QFI have no commercial interest in these companies. As far as I recall they have been written off/down to zero, can’t recall exactly the detail but they are history and not relevant to current QFI business.

Must be linked to their stake in the Canadian energy sector
OK, I’m not in the UK so unable to stream BBC iPlayer so can’t watch the programme.
Because on another thread there is chat about a TV programme linking QFI to Alberta bitumen production being turned into MSAR
I have yet to view the program as I am not presently in a location where I can access WiFi.
Maybe I’ve got the wrong end of the stick.
Why would you think there was news about QCC?
From June 2012
"QCC was formed to develop MSAR® emulsion fuels as a replacement for higher cost gas in steam and power generation associated with oil production in Alberta. In developing and adapting the MSAR® technology for this purpose, QCC undertook extensive 'in house' research and development, filed a range of patents, and accumulated unique know how.
MSAR® Fuels
Despite best efforts, including a successful field trial, continuing uncertainty regarding future gas prices prevented Albertan oil producers from committing to the MSAR® fuel alternative. The recent rapid growth in North American shale gas supplies has compounded this issue, eliminating this target market for all practical purposes."
Is there news that QCC is going to be active again?
