Since paying back shareholders cash and the share consolidation it seems the company can now focus on what it set out to do ie produce polysilicone ingots. It also gives the company options. It can continue steady output of wafers to the production co's, it can develop more wafer production itself, perhaps in a lower cost area or it is ripe for a takeover as it holds many aces. I do not know if they have an R and D team to work on the next generation but I suspect they must have. I favour long steady growth but we will find out more at the end of March. Pvcs product is better than the Chinese product and prices are rising so all positive. GL all.
Polysilicon prices continue to rise, reaching 18 month highs this week as well
Harry; I too need a 7? fold increase from today's p? Is it time to Hurry Up and average down??
On Friday morning , take a look what the guys on iii are saying
Sorry buddie - Riddler
They had more than the market Cap in the cash last August, not sure how much now - Riddle may be able to shed some light
Great! SP just needs to grow by 700% now and I break even!!
yesterday...Wacker Chemie's polysilicon sales grew by 17% in 4Q13 to 250 million euros ($338 million), on maintained polysilicon demand alongside stable pricing. Demand for the raw material used in solar panels was boosted by a Chinese government decision not to impose import tariffs on EU producers. New industry capacity is being introduced to sate demand, with Wacker's new $2 billion 20,000 metric ton polysilicon plant in Tennessee due for completion in mid-2015.
All very positive with pvcs through the week, ending with a good number of buys throughout the day today. Let's hope for a good RNS when we get it, leading to a bright future! Good luck holders especially as markets have struggled today. DEBs 1
Looking very good at the moment for a break out. Here's hoping we pass 20p over the next few days.
Looks like break out on chart no ? http://graphs.lse.co.uk/GetGraph.asp?gcode=PVCS&mode=ShareProfileNew&cache=Y
18.6p to buy now. Creeping up all the time like the spot prices.
Are we ready for lift off? 257k bought 25k sold. A new slim line business with all the management skills and infrastructure to move forwards quickly and to the advantage of shareholders. positive Information from the bod, of course, would seal the future direction of the share price.
Good volume again today, steady rise also. The next company statement will make for interesting reading. Lets hope the new focus will then be in place with figures to back it up. So for now it seems a little speculative - with hopeful connections!! Any thoughts?? GLA - DEBs 1
Buy at these levels. Momentum building again here.
Not so much of a rip off today then!! +10% today with a very good volume, lets hope it holds onto the gains, could just be something going on behind the scenes. It often needs time following share buy backs and consolidations etc before the new true value emerges. sometimes at that point other co's run their slide rule over to guage if there is hidden value. With PVCS I suspect there still is. GLA
Can someone tell me how I am worse off after a return of capital/special dividend? I had 2000 shares values at14p in November. Now I have just 769 shares still valued 14p but with a special dividend of £145. This leaves me £28 worse off. So much for the return of capital!
Check your dealer, your payment will be with them!
Any news about the payment ?
11th or shortly after is the payment date
Just reading up on pvcs returning cash to shareholders but seems a bit confusing/complicated to me Could anyone dumb it down for me. What is the x div date (is it 11th or shortly after) and what is the relevance of pre consolidation Any help appreciated, thanks
Might be time to change your broker then! I dealing was showing the post consolidation share quantity from late last Thursday and a trade was accepted, but not executed, although the price has dropped nearly 2p from that point! Just difficult to know where this one is going, it could fly! No pigs seen over Didcot this weekend! Fingers crossed and good luck. My average was 17.99 pre consolidation etc so still a little under water and the totals look a bit sick as the 7 p + hasn't landed yet. It's a shame as this one had all the makings of a good company in a progressive sector - until the Chinese started playing games and subsidising poorer quality products. I also don't think the European import tax on the 'made in China' panels has not been handled well. So we are not getting the support the industry deserves. PVCS needs a good 12 months and all will come good or even very good.
A letter just received from my broker indicates that the returned cash of 7.25p per share will be based on our original pre-consolidation share holding. This may explain the sp drop late last week.
Still don't understand how trading still occurs, my broker just told be the share was currently unavailable for trading ...
It looks like I dealing is allowing trades as of this am. Shame about the drop today, I guess it will take awhile for things to settle down before we get the true share price. Disappointing as it is though, also the old is a looks a bit bare before the 7.5p is paid in early December. What of the future??
