We've been a long time without one. Of course the actual start date will be far away, but even an appointment annoucement is long overdue considering it's been touted as 'final stages'
I wonder what a CEO announcement would even do to the SP. Seems like we'll struggle to get support over 5p until the FOAK is built, and that could be 2023
They can’t construct until they do a detailed design and that’s going to need an EPCM unless they have engaged one on the quiet?
Doesn’t surprise me… if councils were “industrial companies” they’d go bust or just plain surpassed by other companies.. dinosaurs and glaciers in one!! :-(
Good manage, ent manage all situations. These clowns hd initial go ahead 18 months ago and still havent laid a brick .
World essential tech , hahaha - competition will leave Peel for desd
Yes but Rome didn't have a council planning dept. to deal with. I can tell you from prior experience of working for a council, designing and installing computer networks as an outside contractor. The only dept. in the whole council who couldn't make their minds up on the desk layout for network services was , yes you guest it. The planning dept. But if you read the planning application you will see that the PHE site is a pin prick on the whole scheme and subject to working in conjunction with the rest of the layout. The council will want to know the total of HGVs attending all the plants as its no good just submitting for one site after another. Believe me when the plastic park gets put together as a whole recycling facility it can be copied throughout the globe.
Let’s hope so.. Rome was built more quickly than this , relatively, small site. They do know how to string it out!!!
Further to my earlier comment and thanking Piltick for the following link.

If anyone is interested the best document to download and get an idea about the Protos planning application is the one Titled PLANNING STATEMENT-4022684
Its the easiest to read out of the 104 documents. It downloads as a zip file and can be selected as a one off.
Im with you on that comment Leo and I might add a big thankyou to Piltick for the link to the 104 documents that have been submitted for planning. My quick look at some of the documents indicate no problem from Highways with application and a number of comments from the fire brigade requiring access to Manchester ship canal for water in case of a large fire and some hardstanding support for up to 26 tons for fire brigade appliances. DMG plant requires plot 9B next door for Hydrogen distribution and feedstock supplies. So its no wonder that PHE plants on hold as without that there is no method of supplying feedstock and product distribution. Best of luck Leo with your 88th birthday as I still stand by my prediction for a December 2022 PHE completion. As that is when plot 13 Pet recycling plant is supposed to be online and finished. Good luck to all on this forum who are long term holders.
At least everything has been clarified as to the build, we now know that Peel are doing their best and we should get to know everything in the new year, lots over other news should come anytime now and the share will then start to rocket I’m in it big time and at 87 I’m confident I will be able to spend it.
I believe that Peel are waiting for approval of the planning application that they submitted in October for the waste management plots, which will be providing the feedstocks for PHE's DMG, with the intention to develop them all together:

I don't know when the application will go before the planning committee, but here's a list of the dates of the next few meetings:

Are Peel ever going to pull their finger out and get this constructed?
LEO: As Shivest mentioned, some idle plant on site but nothing actually happening.
Access road foundation laid but awaiting kerbing and asphalt, with just shrubbery on Plot 10B itself.
There were 3 diggers there and marking for an access road, which had been developed somewhat since my last visit in August. No development on the plot itself though
Any thing doing on the site?
Same here Shivest, good to put a face to a name. Shame the weather wasn't a little more sympathetic.
Was nice to meet LedZep and be given the guided tour! Will let you know when I'm up your way again :-)
