This is why i hope Faré hits gold (and lots of it!). IAG have the infrastructure 20km away with the $60 million investment to existing facilities .
Could be another Havieron & Telfer (Newcrest) scenario :D - meaning a hell of a lot lower AISC
Nice finish today. Very happy with this. We don't need crazy 40% rises per day as that attracts the pump and dump crew. We are building a base for long term value. CEO has 9.5M shares so he's close to a few of us long term holders.
As per the guy in the video I shared yesterday he said 95% of exploration companies you can invest in will never become a mine. https://twitter.com/tom_the_bomb__/status/1389661843954802689?s=20
So ORR is not without risk, we haven't seen the ASSAYS yet! I think someone said today or yesterday this is now a risk free investment, which is nonsense and misleading. This is still very risky.
However if you look at the ORR board strategy, they don't want to become "a mine" Tim has always said the value in the team at ORR is their exploration expertise . They have a very specific skillset and that's what they bring to the table, so it means the assets they are working on for us will be turned over if there is value to the experienced big players like IAM or Barrick where Tim came from.
I like this concept since there is a huge difference between finding and grading gold and then taking it out of the ground on a commercial scale.
Nice buys. Should do well in coming weeks and months.
3mill x2 buys showing up people
I would expect this to be over 1p by end of this week as SENALA is now back on track. Historical grades at SENALA always meant IAMGOLD not going to let FARE slip away.
More people to come in for Cameroon results which is whole New Gold province given the massive acreage ORR has acquired with 1st mover advantage.
I disagree Axelod that nothing has changed.
The company had not issued results for any more assays when previously implying they would be due. I.e. Confirming assays were being packaged up to be shipped out before end of March, yet 6 weeks on there was no news despite stating results "throughout" Q2.
I was definitely one of those speculating why there was no news as the company had not made a single reference to lab delays.
Given we were nearly 50% of the way through Q2 with just the result from one hole, I think it was fair to question what was going on.
In terms of IAMGOLD, they had referenced the timelines, but hadn't provided any confirmation of if progress were on track. Given the previous IAMGOLD communications and subsequent back tracking, I personally wanted some news on progress to demonstrate that lessons had been learnt and IAMGOLD would be held to task.
What we have had in the past two days, is no more than we deserve and the impact is clearly visible. I am pleased that the board have provided the information to the market.
Hence what has changed is that the company has explained what has been happening for the past 6 weeks given we were told to expect a news rich qtr and given confidence that they are keeping tabs on IAMGOLD. Bravo board.
What hasn't changed is that we have no more information about what is in the ground. Until then, let's make some noise about the 2021 being on track, news imminent in Q2 and throughout 2021 and as results come in a strong board building out plans for the future.
roll on,the rainy season.
Axelrod - I was definitely part of that and was speculating a lot but this week has shown how easy it was to turn that sentiment around. That was the point myself, MTM and a few others were making.
But hey ho we are back on the right path
Kutzz,
Look at the difference a bit of information makes. There haven't been any results, just simply explaining why there had been assay delays, reinforcing the ongoing work and results timetable, and demonstrating that this year they are sticking close(r) to IAMGOLD's activities.
With some (hopefully) strong Bibemi results in Q2, and the propect of the Fare results coming in Q3, with Madina Bafe results coming potentially Q4 or early FY22 depending on when they manage to get the drilling started/rainy season etc.. then things will should look very different in 12 months time.
I personally need to remain more patient whilst the results come through. I am an LTH, and am looking longer term, not just to turn a quick buck, but hopefully the board will take note of the positive response the market has when being kept informed.
Hopefully be cracking a beer in your surf shack in the not too distant future! - In terms of the gamble, I do think we have a lot of numbers covered, just hope we don't get a double zero.
I got lucky with my timing but I’m still in the red as I didn’t have more funds to top up with last Friday.
Anyway onwards and upwards!!!!!
Kutzz, you patting yourself on the back there dude? Well done though! Getting over the penny would be great psychologically.
Welcome onboard Max
That’s been the ceiling for the last few months but now I think we can push past it and then onwards and upwards.
We’re not out the woods yet but well done to all the holders who didn’t sell and even topped up.
It was MTM’s roulette analogy about covering the table.
With the last few updates (which Is what we were calling for the last few weeks) I feel like the table is pretty much there and we should land big with the next few spins.
Everyone always says the rainy season is the quiet time, not for this call sign.
This reminds me ggp .its just question of time it go over 3p . I bought 4mil today .down bit it will go up it should be at least 1.5p
Good to hear from Mr Positive , I always feel just a bit richer after reading your postings . Very much meant in a nice way . Keep it up.
£14m MCAP is just Bonkers !!!!!
Should be well over 1p on todays confirmation that IAMGOLD are now active at SENALA.
Cameroon updates should come in fast also.
Agree MRP. 90s should be the floor now. Good old days 90's was always on the floor, jam..lol
Finally IAMGOLD get back into action. Superb.
12 month Hold and we should be sitting at much higher price range.
ORR going to be very busy for sure.
Super news. IAMG, on the go at last. Like I said before BOTO needs to be beefed up. Would be surprised, given the geology, surrounding finds and past grade results that we do not find anything significant. All to play for. Think, we'll have strong catalysts now. Cameroon update to follow too..
