I think Cathal's plan of testing business staff in the city is spot on.
I'm from London and I along with friends am convinced that the London Underground was spreading Covid faster than anything else.
Most of these city staff travel on the tube which at the moment is running at a fraction of it's capacity.
Finding out which staff can safely travel to work is well worth the cost of the test.
Have you been watching the news? I tbink more than 1 % have had the virus.
Tiptree - i have been convincing myself there must be a downside for a week or two and gave in today and bought more. Ultimately this isnt just a Covid stock. Immutex itself will return more than current SP if listed / sold at a similar value.
More than that you buy into business and leadsership and I think CF is the real deal, he has £2m invested and will not want this to go cheap - clear mentality on his approach - acquire businesses, right size and remove costs that are not needed, make them operationally profitable and open up there potential then sell them.
If they do go through a sale my first bit of research will be; Where has CF gone now?
And potential for businesses to need re-testing every month or two months. So CF just said. All sounded very plausible. If Roche is in a different market sector (NHS), why no mention of Abbott tonight? When things sound as good as this, you have to try to find downsides but I'm struggling. Maybe should top up in the morning.
So the working population can get back to work knowing if they've had it they have some sort of immunity to it.
I would have this government statement from tonight's Covid 19 press briefing will also add a lot more interest to what CF said in tonight's presentation to potential investors ?
Complex area - CF promoting OPEN and i think the B2B is probably the right way to go. It looks like POC Finger Prick tests will come through the RTC looking at the press release today and is government sponsored so there will be the three anti body routes:
NHS - Roche and Abbot
Private / Corporate - Open
Self / Voluntary - POC-RTC (ODX only AIM company involved in this)
Corporate will want 100% due liabilities and duty of care so I think there is room for all three for a good period of time.
One assumes CF will be made aware of this pronto….
Here's a bit of hot news of todays Government press briefing re potential requirements for Antibody Testing ...surely good news for Open Orphan on top of all the other exiting news CF will talk about in the presentation tonight....
“Priti Patel today suggested that antibody tests may be needed for summer holidays and business travel abroad as she set out five key steps before the Government will relax blanket coronavirus quarantine.
The Home Secretary signalled that blood testing for antibodies, which show people have already had Covid-19 and may be immune, could become a requirement for overseas trips in future, just as travel jabs or malaria tablets are now.
Her statement in the Commons this afternoon came amid increasingly desperate warnings from airlines and holiday companies that jobs and firms will be wiped out unless restrictions are eased. But Ms Patel was unbending in her insistence that a controversial blanket quarantine rule, requiring nearly all passengers arriving in the UK to go into isolation for 14 days, will come into force from Monday onwards.”...……………………GLA
