Actually, that's not a terrible article by MFs low standards. He doesn't make it clear why he doesn't want the spin-off shares (too much risk, too different from the core?), and closes with an unfathomable connection between his timing of a top-up and the lock-in period (lack of funds?), but for the uninitiated it's a reasonable overview and cautiously positive. Maybe he got edited? I've seen worse ( :
He has no logic unless he thinks the co will be spun out for less than it is sitting on our books now - Nil - which is very silly given the whole purpose is to enhance shareholder value.
But then he says he is voting for the motion so you'll probably find it is him and some cronies pushing the share down over the last few days - about 550k nicely timed sells initiated the drop for which a few get spooked on very low volume versus the rise i.e v few are selling. He prbably read this bb and found some were struggling to understand spin offs!
Wonder if he has the same view Re Imutex.
In fact wonder why he holds in the first place with that level of brain activity.
It is a Fools article - enough said - those guys know absolutely nothing factual about CF or Open Orphan
His article makes no sense - why would you not want free shares/money
He states that share holders will have to wait nine months to sell the first spin out company, and he does not want shares in them anyway - so he will not be buying before hand, only after will he continue to by OO shares! Why is this.
Does he expect the SP to be cheaper after the first spin out? What is his advantage to him in waiting until the first spin out is completed before buying again, surely having free shares in a spin out ( even if you have to wait nine months before you can do anything with them is a bonus). i don't get his logic. Why is he waiting until first company is spun out before buying more. Can anyone explain please what he is trying to gain!
Used to take MF's advise but they've cost me small fortune over the past 12 months so definitely don't listen to what they are saying!
