Trading is gambling. Who gets rich?
Their trading profits are healthy.
If I had invested in bookies only
I would now be wealthy.
IG, H/L, iii, etc. one as bad as the other.
Birds of a feather flock together.
I'm surprised that we managed to fall down to this level. Obviously we know Omi is spiky but I thought the price would have consolidated no lower than 17p to 18p region. Bit of a weird one in all honesty. Doesn't really matter for someone like myself as I am here for the project. I like the gold space and I have inherent belief that as the economic turmoil intensifies this project will go from strength to strength. I just think that Orosur are in great shape, money in the bank, piggybacking on the skills and expertise of major players in this space. With the mcap where it is I can only see it going one way. Sure it might take time and we sure are volatile but the project has been backed. We've only really scratched the potential with Apta and we have alot more drilling to look forward to. We have new areas added as well. Fundamentally in great shape. Mark my words, once we start getting news of the outstanding assays and regional sampling back, outstanding permits in place etc with this year's drilling plan in place this will start creeping back up and when we start pulling out high grades in the better areas I have no doubt that we will be in a much better place share price wise. Newmont and Agnico aren't here to placent our thirst for a penny or two on the share price. They are here to maximize the area, find and hopefully in time extract as much gold as the area has to offer. We as Omi holders will be part of that and will benefit from their hard work and due diligence. Brad will be occupying himself with JVs now. Strategically he will be thinking now that we know that Anza is somewhat de-risked and the majors are keen I better make sure that Orosur itself has other projects to focus on and ensure that Orosur is in good health. I think we are. I have no doubt we will be treated to a bonanza of JV news within next 6 months and with that the increased news rich period will be realised. All my opinion clearly but this is how I see the next while unfolding.
Brad has also confirmed via an email which was shared to the Telegram group that Newmont are not restricted by the amount of money they are able to spend during the next 12 months, they just need to ensure it's at least $4m. If they want to spend more they can. I don't think Newmont have thought "let's go to Colombia for the next 5 or 6 years", they're the worlds best at what they do for a reason and I anticipate it will be full throttle from day 1. I've been one of the first to be vocal in the past about the sp and lack of news, but we have many more reasons to buy here than sell at the moment. When the Newmont news landed a couple of weeks ago we would have sold our grandmother's for the chance to top up at 16p, what's changed since?
I spread my wings and was doing alright when fate
made me think and I saw a light.
Internet addiction makes many ill. You have to stay healthy
and many of those wealthy need a daily pill. OMI is the name for a Granny in German.
I liked the name and bought, was caught. OMI. Luck?
You dont know theyre a lady
Theyre rather annoying so better they dont attest.
Here also bitten by FRR :(
I agree Wayne. I'm quite happy to keep adding as I just understand why the general market do not share the love for this as much as I do. Anza is going to tick along just nicely with the majors scouting out the best areas for the next drill campaign. Brad will be working on the JV angle which will bring another string/strings to omi's bow. All this will come together so I am very much accumulating while we seem flat. News will come and my belief is this year is going to be big for Orosur.
Let's not forget why we invested here. Newsflow could be vastly improved but we have progressed significantly in the last 12 months, so much so that Newmont want to be on the ground calling the shots. 2 majors, cash in the bank, other JV's in the pipeline etc. Looking forward to next years drilling plan and to hopefully hear about far more than last years 5 rigs spread across multiple tenements.
A tad grating to see other stocks you've been watching go marching on. Loyalty to a share is soooo painful, learnt from bitter FRR experience, as Lady mapp will attest lol.
I no longer open my account and can't get
upset. Nursing homes cost appr. £200.00 a day and with
luck there will be enough left. I am still fit and learned a lot
but not enough to keep up. Take care, life is not fair. OMI
On a more positive note, top up available in the 15's.
News rich period and the share price is below the placing!
They only spent pocket money, I like most others here hold more then they do.
Genuinely struggle to understand the mindsets of people who sell before the favoured day for news. Admittedly no guarantee tomorrow but surely common sense would say to you that the last news dropped 3 weeks ago so you've had 3 weeks to sell? Instead I think I'll sell on Monday 3 weeks later because RNS's usually land on a Tuesday...
To this day I still do not understand how having cash in the bank shields us from a low ball offer. It makes absolutely no sense.
He seems to think that having $6m in the bank instead of $2m means we can't be bought out on the cheap. This makes no sense and there is no correlation between cash in the bank and buy out price for a company like OMI.
Re. Tin. If a “mine” does become viable it would be a credit to him. Bit early to be knocking a mine that as of yet doesn’t exist. Also meridian sp increased recently since loi was announced so the market warmed to it there. Omi was just sold off because it’s a spiky stock imo in a risk off marketplace Bit wasteful not to derisk something this spiky in this climate but each to their own plan
exuberant lifestyles as in BOD coke and hooker lunch’s ;)
OMI is well funded and shielded from a cheeky lowball offer so I agreed with the funding to keep the wolves away.
I do like brads conservative and thrifty approach as this also shields holders from exuberant lifestyles. I think maybe spend a bit of PR to keep the fire alive rather than letting it smoulder.
Don’t get me wrong I do like cheap shares but it creates a traders mentality when what OMI has does not warrant that side of the market.
Remember, last 4 Colombia updates have been on a Tuesday. Why wait for a lower entry point when there's every chance you could be paying much more tomorrow?
Totally agree with you masksnewnorm never been a fan since the surprise placing. And the market response to the tin mine knocked loads off the share price.
No way, he’s going nowhere. He’s intro’d the tin deal to keep himself busy and must have recognised they would be handing over the JV operations.
Also his tiny recent director purchase shows he’s a more of a salaryman than heavy skin in the game type.
Why on earth would he step aside? Why should he?
He’s not very dynamic but the grades are. Plenty of good talkers out there with nothing to shout about.
Newmont are now using their own labs for core analysis, this will improve timings.
I also think we need a new younger improved Brad to replace the deadwood. Why not reflect the warranted enthusiasm of having the worlds No1 and No8 running our exploration operations rather than what drab Brad has to offer.
The majors have ramped up their game and Brad is still a burn out.
ATPA results are outstanding in excess of what they expected, the majors have taken control and expanded further afield.
Let’s get a young hungry CEO in place imo.
Been a bit slow here recently but I don't think anyone can argue that orosur are in great shape. Things will start to crank up a gear fairly soon I imagine. Not paying much attention to the daily grind. I'm confident alot is going on behind the scenes and we will be updated of this in due course.
It depends on what they release, confirmation of jv continuation was something I don’t think anyone was doubting, but hopefully with a large drilling programme scheduled, that will give new investors the confidence to invest here. Sooner or later people will see what a great buy OMI is. It’s cash glow is great and is backed by the biggest gold miningcompany in the world. If that doesn’t give u confidence I don’t know what does!
It can fly but more then likely 30 mins later be straight back down again.
The LOI rns was almost 90 days ago, therefore we should expect an update on that this week, and at the latest by next week. Drilling results should hopefully be this week, and I feel that when the give updates on new drilling programmes, then that will really give the share price a big boost in my opinion. Now is the time to get in!, on release of this news OMI can fly in my opinion
Goodluck,
