Friend flown to Turkey today with no checks or tests absolute scandal
#karavleva
there is insinuation in your post, lets keep the board to investment, we don't want any type of religious crap on here.
agree life is precious, disagree that people remain locked down. whilst ever cases continue to be made for lock down you'll never come out of it. end of !!
whatever you do, do not attempt to turn this board into some religious bull****. not interested.
this board is about investment.
you seem very touchy about india and
#Gliders01. There are lots of sentiments in your little statement dude. By their fruits you shall know them
They are flying in from all over Europe from India. Criminal!
Djm1 - You’re not wrong there…we would be in a right mess…boris is always last minute so I expect him to be panicking in the next 2 weeks if the cases start to spiral out of control…which would be an absolute s***show if that actually happens when he’s got ODX and others at his disposal…
Eazy
more testing is imperative. Where are the DHSC and the MHRA. Conspicuous by their absence. Thanks be to God there was the private sector to develop the Vaccines cos left to Johnny Jobsworth we would be screwed.
I agree prophet…with the arrival of the Indian variant creating an uptick in cases and the country opening most places on tomorrow for indoor dinning and entertainment…the government is creating a perfect storm which will require LFD’s to keep the cases under control…even though we’re still in the dark there’s probably stuff already going on in the background regarding utilisation of the government contract for rollout soon…
Handjob speculated it was due to lack of uptake in vaccines in area's such as bolton&blackburn..
Which has a large asian community.
With planes flying in from India&****stan and without 100% scrutiny of passengers..
Its just a matter of time before it spreads nationally.
You'd think surely this is a matter of a emergency to start a mass roll out of these new LFT's??
djm1. If LFT test b4 departure is mandatory and required by all airlines, how come the Indian variant is very rampant in Bolton?
I'm sure London is not safe from same variant. The Govt shouldn't prioritise the decimated economy over people's precious life. Life has no duplicate but the economy can still grow with rational economic strategies and plans

djm1, sadly I think the point passed long ago, where eliminating covid was a realistic posibility. This virus is with us now and it is now a matter of controlling the damage it does rather than getting rid of it. It has shown that it is quite good at changing and it is going to keep doing that and finding its way around the vaccines too. We just have to hope that it does not become a lot more deadly, and start affecting younger people in that way. I do wonder if this virus will manage to reappear in china at somepoint because they surely cannot stay shut to the rest of the world forever can they?
Its straight forward, if you want to come to this country you will have to take an approved LFT before departure and have a negative result. The airlines will agree to keep people flying. You cannot eliminate Covid but until the world has been vaccinated/revaccinated then its the only alternative. LFTs are cheap enough for business and holidaymakers alike. Just needs recognised minimum standards and cooperation.
question is, how long do you wait?
there will always be another variant now, more deadly and transmissible than before, meantime economies are decimated and people lose their businesses.
eventually you have to let people get on with their lives amid serious testing and track and trace, its the only way to my mind. cant hide away from it forever !!
The Indian variant is deadly and I can't understand why Bojo is allowing the covid lockdown in place to be lifted in this critical, perilous time. The Indians, the Nigerians (my country) are everywhere!
Bojo please think twice, I know that you are a very witty, clever buffoon and that was why I voted for you as PM and for Brexit too. I don't want people to die of covid again!!!! A little bit of patience will do

18 people are in hospital in Bolton with coronavirus - five of whom have had one vaccine jab.

It 'is on the verge' but not certain.
Let's see if vaccine works once all restrictions are lifted.
;o)
"Why Japan don't follow with mass vaccination as yet?"
why is Japan on the verge of cancelling the olympics again whereas there was 22K at the FA cup final and UK is on the verge of opening up.
"I've not had the vaccine yet, I'm waiting for the UK experiment to play out. It's not that I don't want to have it, but I've never been good at being told what to do. I love social distancing, mask wearing."
You are only social distancing and wearing a mask because you were told to do it. So you just killed your own argument.

Worth to watch and ask yourself few questions.
Is emergency approved vaccine save to use?
Does vaccine stops from spreading the virus or getting infected?
Why Japan don't follow with mass vaccination as yet?

Ultra instinct. Fair enough I know my views are extreme but they are not misinformed as I too work in healthcare and hold a B.Sc and an M.Sc (couldn't be arsed with the P.hD)
It's a spectrum and we will never get forced vaccination. I have explained to my relative that they are a walking risk to anyone they may come across who is immunocompromised or otherwise unable to raise a significant immune response to the virus but they don't care. It's ultimately very selfish in my opinion.
There is no way any UK Government would make any vaccine compulsory. Through education you will inform and enable the vast majority to make an informed decision and take the vaccine.
It could be that in time that those who are not vaccinated find they are unable to travel to many global destinations. Clearly, we are moving to the situation that you need a negative PCR test to enter events and even go to work and that's going to be "normal"
Tecbadger. Just go onto one of the Indian news channels....get your relative to watch the footage....especially ( typical India) as they seem to have no bars hold on access to the covid wards and the absolute desperation of the doctors, nurses and especially people waiting on oxygen and literally dying in front of your eyes, one out - one literally in, no bed gets cold.
truly horrifying ...front line stuff that most never see until its to late.
I've not had the vaccine yet, I'm waiting for the UK experiment to play out. It's not that I don't want to have it, but I've never been good at being told what to do.
I love social distancing, mask wearing and I work alone, so I remain a low risk to people around me.
It's my personal choice and no-one on this board will convince me otherwise.
I may reassess in 9 to 12 months time, depending on circumstances, but happy to test 3 times a week with our gold tests, not that Chinese cr ap.
There, my 2p worth on a lazy Sunday morning.
Have a great day all.
I believe that the concept of forced vaccination is unforgivable, and would be a substantial lurch towards pure tyranny, no matter how noble the intentions. As awful as the situation is, the mortality rate for those with no underlying rlying health conditions is incredibly small, around 1-2% (depending on the source).
If you or someone close to you have been affected by it, then it will obviously mean much more to you, because it has become personal, and your attention is focused on the virus, much morseo than someone who has not been directly affected by it. I.e where thought goes, energy flow, and that thing expands.
Just my opinion, but definitely, vaccinate all the vulnerable and anyone who wants it. But let the rest choose. There is a plethora of things we can do to naturally strengthen our immune systems, such as; exercise, cold exposure, meditation, good nutrition, quality sleep etc. These techniques have kept me (and countless others) perfectly healthy without sick days for years.
Ps. Just my take, but I say this as a medical professional with two BScs, an MSc and a PhD.
I have a family member who is refusing the vaccine despite my efforts of describing how the data is overwhelmingly supportive of vaccines they are determined that they haven't been tested properly and are far too big a risk to take. This person smokes more than 20 a day and their thought process is utterly baffling to me.
Unfortunately you can take the horse to water but can't make it drink. I'm still for compulsory vaccination to be honest as these people are not just risking their own health.
