No, I’m 56.
?? = Laughing emoji
And I’m 31! None of us above 60 ??
"I've come across badly here and a little combative which was unintentional. For the record I'm very happy you have had your vaccines!"
I was pulling your leg. I know you weren't being combative.
I've come across badly here and a little combative which was unintentional. For the record I'm very happy you have had your vaccines!
Also regarding the grammar I spend all day reading and writing very technical documents so am careless on here especially when writing on the old phone. It's probably not going to change hahaha.
Back to omega I reiterate I love the phrase "companion diagnostic" was used today. Just need to spin it to the pharmas there is some benefit to them. This will probably be post jab Confirmation as there's no benefit to them with pre jab as it could reduce the number of vaccines given when supply is tight
I'll be 54 in September but was vaccinated as counted as 'key NHS staff' and other half works with Covid +ve patients.
"Oh sure theres definitely no pre-existing massive advantages to the 60+ generation...."
Neither am I as I was 54 this week. I have an auto immune condition which helped me get to the front of the queue!
Also, Techbadger, I think you have lost this apostrophe (') there is a "there's" missing one!!!!!
See you in the pub when we can safely meet up for a pint.
I do apologise. It was meant more as a generalisation rather than accusing anybody of being a certain age
"Oh sure theres definitely no pre-existing massive advantages to the 60+ generation...."
Oi! I'm not the "60+" generation you cheeky git!
BigBangs and regulator. I guess that makes sense that if you are already primed RE with a natural infection or a vaccine you experience side effects with a vaccine. Thats actually quite reassuring as its a strong indicator of a powerful immune response :)
Exactly my experience with the AZ jab; absolutely fine for a couple of days but a 'fuzzy' head akin to a slight hangover for the next 3 days, gone by day 6...
Teabadger re your earlier point re getting into pubs - I am fairly sure that will be one of the big uses for a reliable and quick test that we hope to provide. Let’s get the TT done so that the other announcements can follow. ATB
Oh sure theres definitely no pre-existing massive advantages to the 60+ generation....
Doctor friends of mine have suggested that side affects, if any, affect people more following the second jab but nothing that should make you any less keen to get it.
Advantage to being an old get at last! (you're not your please).
Watch out for the second head or the additional digits...
I'm already in Norfolk so what would be the difference? Don't have a sister either!! I can carve a head out of a sugar beet for a companion and call it Mr Gates so he can watch me.
Similar to baldingquickly, I had my first (AZ) jab Monday having had Covid in December. Felt a little rough yesterday but no big deal.
Lucky buggers. With my profile ill likely be told to F off or be in June.
If they bring some sort of passporting for pubs in early ill be mightily annoyed 60+ can get in but not if your under 40
Similar to a mild hangover for me with AZ vaccine! It will be interesting to see if the studies re vaccine and previous infection lead to a change in protocols for vaccine distribution.
Watch out for the second head or the additional digits...
;-)
No side effects yet.
I had Covid April last year and just had my first shot (AZ) on Monday. I had a mild headache for most of yesterday, but possible it was unrelated to the vaccine (unlikely though IMO as I don’t often get them). I hasten to add it wasn’t that bad, I didn’t bother with pills and wouldn’t have bothered mentioning it to anyone except you asked. I strongly encourage everyone to get the vaccine.
Any side effects?
Talking to one of my friends (she works for one of the vaccine manufacturers) this morning, when out with the dog, the evidence seems to suggest that a reaction is more likely in both the Pfizer and AZ vaccine if you already have antibodies as a result of prior infection. It doesn't do you any harm but can be a helpful indicator.
First jab down! Ready to use the antibody LFT as soon as they like.
