That’s quite a one dimensional question so I’ll pad it out for you:
If there was a new strain that the current vaccines showed little to no efficacy against BUT was half as deadly and half as contagious than the current strains, then maybe a small to medium drop across the travel sector.
IF this new strain was twice as deadly and twice as contagious then it would probably shave a few points off the FTSE and probably other global markets, but then I believe there are still other vaccines being manufactured to counter this scenario.
The virus will mutate, hopefully (for our sanity) it’s the former rather than the latter of the scenarios
What would happen if theirs a new strain which beats the current vaccines??
I was out on Saturday and it was just like the good old days, not a mask in sight.
Threat of new variants could put us back to square 1
Just going to have to be patient still. I personally can't see this flying higher until the steady uptick in (US) covid deaths reverses.....however that might come about. Nex, for some reason, has always been seen as a travel company by the market so I see it trading in this kind of range until it is very clear that countries are fully opened up (for good). But, let's not forget, it hasn't done too badly since 70p ;-)
No support for this at the moment since results.
Crazy day on results day, seems to need a boost from somewhere.
Bit disappointing really!
So the coaches have got back into 1st gear from reverse but I think the road surface ahead is full of potholes! Even without covid hangover we've got rising fuel costs and cost of going electric( will that happen?)
On the positive: the roads are full of movement again.
Is £4 a share sometime soon a bit dreamy or should we just trade the ups and downs to make a few quid?
