Gaz, i believe it would be a time and money saving exercise as the in-vitro works would/should be of the same preparation process as the pre in-vivo studies, but thats just a guess. Im totally clueless on how they use lab time or if its an ongoing unallocated project.
Someone commented on ADVFN about N4 not using the mice peripheral cells for this study, they (N4 along with Evotec) opted for HEK cells...coincidentally most gene therapy lentiviral vector production platforms use HEK cells for in-vivo studies. I'm sure you can guess where I'm going with this.
Get Nuvec loaded with a minimum of three plasmids (needed for lentivirus) and succesfully producing viral vectors, they should get noticed in the viral vector space and i genuinely believe Evotec GT will, at the very least, get them talking to Takeda.
Norrinrad - as below
3. subject to positive results being achieved at stage 2, undertaking an initial pre in vivo study to demonstrate expression of the spike protein in target cells in a murine target. This stage would be expected to take a further ten weeks, commencing in mid-July.
Once the stage 3 results have been reviewed, the Company will then determine whether to do a further in vivo study to demonstrate the capability of Nuvec® to generate Covid-19 specific antibodies. In light of the current global urgency around treatments for Covid-19, the Company would also seek to collaborate, where it can, with appropriate partners to accelerate further studies at this juncture.
Any indication on how long is phase 3 expected to last?
... so that they can finish phase 3 quicker.
Layman's translation: they are looking for ways to run bits of phase 3 in parallel, using the placement money to do it.
LEISTER: would you be kind enough to put this a layman terms?
“The third phase of the in-vivo protein expression testing will be to undertake an initial pre in-vivo study to demonstrate expression of the spike protein in target cells in a murine target. Following the recent fundraise, announced on 13 May 2020, the Company is now also exploring ways in which it can bring forward the start of certain areas of this third phase to run alongside the in-vitro work.”
Good stuff Leister
Nice to see you Vander!
They have transfected DNA successfully in vitro with different antigens in the past 4 years, but not yet succeeded outside of UQ in achieving an immune response (in rats) or using nuvec versions manufactured at scale
They are not intending to develop a c19 vaccine, but using c19 dna is free and draws attention
Very low free float here and few shares available , won’t take much buying pressure for this to become one heck of a pressure cooker!

wow all buys
that 68k sell
One third of the company traded this afternoon. Quite astonishing. I think we're going to have another very busy day tomorrow and stock looks like it's getting harder to get hold of. A lot of those 200k+ trades will be going to people / institutions who will hold for the much bigger returns.
Look at all those late reported buys that were hidden away!
