I did say yesterday that it they could not thrash out the details by 9th... then deadline will simply be extended ! This confirms further - that this is a done deal.
Looks like today will be a great day for MNZS - agreed to extend formal offer deadline until 30th March, and results looking great!!
If it’s done then I will sell my stock for £6.08 each share. If not , I am more than happy and would sell between £8.50 to £10 by March 2024.
I love the confidence - hope you're right SBBT!
This is a done deal.
NAS wants this desperately. MNZS is now in agreement.
NAs wants to strengthen Eurpoe, US regions using MNZS connects. NAS is looking 10, 20+ years forward. This Ukraine conflict is non issue for them.
Just wait for the confirmation.
If they could not thrash out the details by 9th March... they will simply extend the deadline.
I have seen it with other similar deals.
So stay easy.
Huge postive results Tuesday (tomorrow)
And Wednesday offer at 608p is confirmed.
JP Morgan increasing stake to 5%... interesting
What does the latest rns mean ?
NAS bought 19% at 605p
They are an operator not investor.
The deal is at 608p and offer will be confirmed Wednesday morning
If it's any consolation, the company's interim results will be released tomorrow. So that could be the clincher...
If MNZS performs fantastically well - I expect they'll remain attractive. If not, well...who knows?
There is no legally binding offer on the table. NAS is in a bind, because if it does want to reduce its 608p bid, it will have to get the approval of the Takeover Panel. Alternatively it can walk away and wait 6 months before having another go.
Not sure if I’m being naive but potentially a few people taking profit due to uncertainty which has triggered stop losses and into a downward spiral. Have to wait and see. Hopefully will rise again as NAS buy more or finalise the deal.
Shocked to see my S.L. executed at 520 when I opened my email account earlier.
Not so sure that this is a time to gamble, I've family in Ukraine and things there are only getting worse.
There will be more opportunities to buy cheap before this ends.
.
So what does everyone think will happen now ?
This stock is probably a stand out performer in most peoples portfolio. Profits will be sliced for bargains elsewhere. To me this looks like a real opportunity to gamble.
Not looking good ??
Drifting
Indeed the share price is tumbling! Which is a shame! I expect with certain geopolitical events - the company doesn't look like such a bargain (right now). We'll see, but indeed it's looking less promising....I was hoping for a RNS with the formal offer today...
Starting to look like the gamble won't pay off.
Offer must be formalised by March 9th I believe. No guarantee of deal and definitely not guarantee of timescale for payout . It’s a gamble .
What would happen to those who did not sell their shares in the market, if deal confirm by 9th March. How long it will take to get cash in the account? Please comment if anyone know the procedure.
Thanks
The whole travel sector is collapsing at the moment due to rising fuel prices and general fears about Russia's next move. MNZS is actually staying relatively high because of the deal.
is there thinking that this deal won’t go through as price dropping ?
A few institutional holders have sold up, presumably because they now see better opportunities elsewhere in this falling market. No other news may be good news, but I am not brave enough to add here!
Menzies Aviation, the global aviation logistics specialist has secured a contract with Ultra Air, a new ultra-low-cost carrier launched in Colombia, to provide full ground handling services at four airports.
As part of a three-year contract, Menzies will provide full ground handling services to Ultra Air at Colombia’s four largest airports: Bogotá (BOG), Medellin (MDE), Barranquilla (BAQ), and Cali (CLO).
Colombia is experiencing rapid growth in the aviation industry and this contract win further strengthens Menzies’ position in this market as the leading global ground services company.
