I guess positives we can take from this are that MKA are negotiating hard for the best possible outcome, something solid that will stick and is tailored for finance.

Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda
Werani Chilenga
By Wezzie Gausi:
Attorney General Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda has given a nod to the Global Metals mining agreement, which has been on hold for some time.
The government has, for some time, delayed the process of signing mining development agreements for Lotus Resources, Mkango Resources Limited and Globe Metals companies, which delayed their mining work.
Chakaka Nyirenda told The Daily Times that paperwork for the agreements has been finalised.
“We, as government, were withholding our signature to the agreements as some terms were not okay.
“We have reached an agreement with Global Metals and agreements will be signed this week.
“With the remaining two mining companies, we are still having problems reaching an agreement, hence the negotiations are underway,” he said.
Meanwhile, Parliamentary Committee on Natural Resources and Climate Change Chairperson Werani Chilenga has welcomed the development.
“This is the good news we, as a committee, have been waiting for. We have a lot of minerals the company will be working on and Malawi stands to benefit from that,” Chilenga said.
Some of the things mining companies have been asking for include permission to have external bank accounts and a waver on taxes, among others.

Can't open that but it's on ministry of mining Facebook page. Basically says "other 2 MDA's are having a problems reaching an agreement, but negotiations are still underway"
Here is the actual article. Suggest , read it carefully. GL All.

Exciting times, things seriously hotting up! Even the Global metals MDA is a huge positive as it shows Malawi are open for mining business. As far as I'm concerned our MDA is a given now, ESHIA rubber stamped, road built, etc etc etc... this will be in the 20s soon.
Is in today's Daily Times - Malawi if anyone can access it lol

Surely it would make national headlines in Malawi with the signing of 3 MDA's at once. This could well happen over the weekend before any RNS release.
Myles McNulty has picked up on the Times360News article and posted about it on Twitter. An interesting few days ahead of us I think! GLA.
Well Done. TUFF.
I’ve emailed Wezzi Gausi to see if she’ll send a link or details of the interview.
Sorry. This week.
It would reassuring if someone could find the interviiew where Nyirenda says Next week.
It has been reported on by a third party but the interview should also be around somewhere!
Looks like we already gapped up a little
#MKA holders, pay attention @Times360Malawi In an interview, Nyirenda says all the paperwork for the agreements have now been finalized. He says he is just working on getting the documents signed and the agreements will be ready by the "end of the week". https://twitter.com/Share_Talk/status/1638580633533394945?s=20
13p in the crosshairs.
Likely a gap up tomorrow on that huge news reported in the papers.
This will, at some point, hit £1.
The already DFSd rare earths mine project alone is sellable/worth 57p on the current issue IMO.
Just need China to pull the rare earths plug (again) and maybe we'll get a quid+ ...
Just bought another 10K. Only a small amount, in case it turns out to be a false dawn. If it does...serves me right for chasing a spike :)
Thanks gawd I'm invested in #MKA and not #BOJO
They're saying that Globe Metals has been approved and the MDAs for Lotus and Mkango will follow by the end of the week.
No ramp from me, we were told it was coming soon anyway :)
I think, despite the plural, he’s referring to Global’s affairs. I hope I’m wrong.
"agreementS"
12.15 paid
He also appears to be talking about Global Metals agreement. Not ours.
