Guys, leave it to the big boys to sort this out. No need to get involved with firing emails off left, right and centre. That's what they get paid to do.
I contacted Walbrook PR regarding out of stock on Boots this morning.
Here is the reply:
Hi Paul,
Â
Thanks for your email.
Â
MHC are working with Boots to explore why they are showing that the test is out of stock – MHC have confirmed that there is absolutely no supply issues from MHC’s side.
Â
Kind regards,
Â
Paul
Spooky. I also emailed their customer services.
They replied within 10 mins which was great.
Basically they said that Boots are an agent so I need to speak to Boots as to why they are out of stock.
I also asked why they charge £80 and Boots charge £65. They said Boots are able to set their own price.
Reading the below post, I am hoping that now MHC are being asked about Boots stock, they will look in to it and sort it.
I asked the question about stocks at Boots, here is the reply;
''Yourgene does not supply any products directly into Boots. The team at MyHealthChecked are working with Boots to explore why they are showing that the test is out of stock – but reassuringly MHC have confirmed that there is absolutely no supply issues from MHC’s side (including the service YGEN provides MHC)''.
Mhc have stock on their own website. I would take the online store stock figures with a pinch of salt. It shows two stores local to me as out of stock. Thing is they have never stocked them in the first place.
This was the announcement back in May

("MyHealthChecked" or the "Company")

Manufacturing Agreement and Purchase order with EKF Diagnostic Holdings plc
MyHealthChecked Plc (AIM: MHC), the consumer home-testing healthcare company, announces that on 20 May 2021 it signed a Manufacturing Agreement and placed a further purchase order of GBP1.425m with EKF Diagnostic Holdings plc ("EKF") for PrimeStore(R) MTM sample collection devices.
This purchase is further to previous announcement of 2 December 2020 (relating to an initial purchase order for sample collection devices with EKF), and will support the supply of the MyHealthChecked COVID-19 Sample Collection Kit to the market over the summer period as travel begins to ramp up. The term of the contract is until December 2022, and may be terminated at 6 months' notice after 12 months of the initial term.
It's an interesting comment ref capacity and wonder how much mhc have in total? Sourcebiosciences like mhc are partnered with Boots (from gov covid test website) for the post arrival tests. sbi also supply a few others (medicspot, better2know and the nhs) but they seem to be planning for 20k a day. Taken from their update last week:
The Group is planning for a significant uplift in demand in the third quarter driven by the anticipated increase in COVID-19 testing as travel restrictions continue to be lifted. The Group has already seen a marked uptick during July with daily testing volumes rising from under 4,000 tests per day in June to approximately 9,000 tests daily at present, well within the Group's existing capacity. Testing demand is expected to rise further and, accordingly, the Group has made preparations to expand its capacity to more than 20,000 tests per day. Should demand exceed these levels, the Group has further arrangements to leverage surplus capacity within a third party owned laboratory

It looks like travel testing quantities are taking everyone by surprise. Hopefully mhc and ygen can keep up!
They are out of stock again online as of 1004hrs Tuesday.
I know some say there is plenty of stock when you search shops list online.
But if you untick the ‘only show shops with stock’ it shows the shops out of stock.
If they are out online mhc must be out of kit as those ordered online come direct from mhc. So have they used all the stock they bought or just production issue ?
They spent millions on more kits so if they have run out and need to order more then they must have shifted one heck of a lot !
it could also be a online glitch? Ygen can supply 10k a day so I doubt it's a supply problem.
Get that stock out MHC!!!
