With restrictions removed this is potentially another source of revenue for MHC ... the more people travelling the more requirements for potentially having a test which is a good thing for MHC IMO ...
Less than 6 trading days left now before the interim and Q3 results are out.
Hopefully they'll clarify what kind of test soon, but yeah it could be lft. I'm just guessing really, trying to read in between the lines.
You could also have a rapid test within 3 days I guess?
Didn't it say the test has to be done within 3 days? I would have thought that suggested it was an official timed and dated PCR test. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
It could be an lft being an antigen is OK. Doesn't mention being a rapid test though.
London Market - the answer is clear as it's on the US Embassy website as at 1st September whereby it is simply stated as a viral test - the full definition below - from which I assume is a PCR test.
What types of SARS-CoV-2 test are acceptable under the Order?
Passengers must be tested with a viral test that could be either an antigen test or a nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT). Examples of available NAATs for SARS-CoV-2 include but are not restricted to reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP), transcription-mediated amplification (TMA), nicking enzyme amplification reaction (NEAR), and helicase-dependent amplification (HDA). The test used must be authorized for use by the relevant national authority for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 in the country where the test is administered. A viral test conducted for U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) personnel, including DOD contractors, dependents, and other U.S. government employees, and tested by a DOD laboratory located in a foreign country also meets the requirements of the Order.
Given the fact the requirement is to show proof of a negative test "within 72 hours" I would go out on a limb to say it's PCR. However, as mentioned, that is a complete assumption. I've been digging but haven't found any publication that actually says what type of test is required.
A great day today for MHC. The share price held up well and looked strong on the finish. IMO we could see another nice day again tomorrow after the announcement from the US. As discussed on the board over the weekend, the market will decide. GLA
So pcr still required not lateral flow ones. Does it means pcr or lateral flow test to to enter USA or prof of no symptoms of Covid ?
"mean unvaccinated Americans will face stricter testing requirements" ***
Moore, to your first question here, is the announcement: "The White House coronavirus response coordinator, Jeff Zients, said on Monday international travellers will require proof of full vaccination before boarding a flight and a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours of departure. They will not be required to quarantine upon arrival."
And "The changes will be part of a new travel system the US, including updated rules on contact tracing and masking that will mean unvaccinated Americans will "
To answer your second question, nobody knows. It's anybody's guess with this Government as to whether restrictions will remain, loosen or tigthen as we all found out last week.
Can someone validate you will require a pcr to enter America or is it some other test. If it’s a PCR surly this is a positive impact to volume ?
Also is pcr here to stay for next year for outbound flights. Peoples thoughts ?
