Q3 should be positive.
CEO buying shares is a positive for me
Well full year EPS is unchanged apparently so bargain basement P/E and CE division returning to profitability. Dividend soon also. Activists are key here.
Nothing wrong with your memory Mulder.
I just feel there is and was a perceivable amount of deck clearing going on within LWB.
Your observation of the ceo " kitchen sinking " the negatives in the latest update describes perfectly what the board is doing.
Could be nothing more than the BOD adopting an honesty first policy and share price be dammed.
But if that is so, why?
Only bought back in last week on that price wrecking update so a bit rusty on the lwb front.
D.
Full year EPS guidance I believe remains the same at around 6p
Belief that new CEO was kitchen sinking at H1 results last week and hopefully all the bad news now out of the way.
Trades going through above 50p now
With the ultra low P/E (7.5 vs historical 15) and large activist positions here this was always a prime M&A candidate.
oldbadger I believe you think a Chinese bid may come in given our large presence there?
Crazy price. Dividend now at 6.8% as well
3.1p full year
>7% yield
Takeover target IMO
SP at multi year lows. Bargain P/E rating with takeover potential.
Low & Bonar PLC ("the Group"), the international performance materials group with leading positions in niche industrial markets, will announce half-year results for the six months ended 31 May 2018 on Wednesday 11 July 2018.
Some hefty sells today Mulder. I guess the pro's didn't like the new debt swap. I was surprised there was no financial gain to the company, there usually is when a new debt facility is announced. Whatever still not in yet, still waiting my buy in price. Sold to early " as usual " on the last spike. D.
Low & Bonar PLC LWB Peel Hunt Buy 0.00 54.00 80.00 - Reiterates
Seems to be trading well below historical P/E rating
.
If we accept all that the co. says in its latest rns (and i broadly do) then significant upside- and still the hint of a predator lurking.....
Trading at just 8x earnings falling to a P/E of 7 next year. Yield 6% covered twice by earnings. Trading below the absolute book value/NAV (55p) also now.
They have certainly been buying in bulk. Q1 not far off - could be related. Where are the M&A rumours? Surely worth 90p+ ************************************************************************************************************************** Sterling invests in good businesses that are undervalued due to stress factors that can be fixed. Strange indeed... but Big investors/small company (possibly working to a plan). Inevitably the SP shifts around as they shift their weight around. Personally, not too bothered at the moment....
Trading back at 1 year lows again despite activists buying and holding high stakes here now.

Activists increasing stakes again. Time for a bid surely?
90p+ Barely trading above book value currently.
