P14, Change of tack I note: "I hope 1000's lose their jobs" now becomes "I'm sure" ... that'll be because you have this great foresight then? You nailed your true colours to the flag in the original post. Furthermore, where are you getting the "we are alright Jack from?" I along with many others am "alright" in life - "I'm alright Jack" has an altogether different meaning and stance that the majority of decent folk do not choose to adopt or subscribe to, and as I stated, I don't associate with folks who adopt that stance in life - you clearly do.
You have made your leftist hypocritical views more than clear, that and your obsession with parts of the male anatomy as opposed to the correct use of the English language.
You get an electric horse :-)
Inevitable consequence of the greta concept.
But who is going to provide enough horses and carts - horses are like cattle an enemy - so back to the pre middle ages with no industrial revolution in sight - except for the few - of course - if they mange to survive the new plague.
Bumblebee what's progressive about hugely increasing fuel poverty. What next bringing back serfdom?

ER or a lifetime mortgage is an option for people with assets who , given that they have assets should consult rather than giveaway their bank sort code and a/c no.
It is a choice - for people with assets but insufficient income - to spend more than they have income wise.
Greedy bs always complain when their barlow Clows investment goes pearshaped. rate of return only for the greedy and they wanted compensation.
Dont want ER or Lifetime mortgage then sell up and rent -
Everyone makes an informed choice - who would buy leasehold? those that did not read the small print or could not be bothered.
A credit card is a charge card with penal interest rate. Why take one out unless u can clear the outstanding each month. Don't moan after the event.
Don't blame the institutions - just blame the politicians who seem to want to protect the many who took advantage of the things they should never have looked at.
Excellent news Boomer. Some progressive thinkers in this country.

Informative viewing. Government has committed to stealing 11000 off every household between 2015 and 2030. Thereafter the theft will escalate further.
Bumbleb spare the trite sermon. Uninstall your heating at home if you think earth is about to boil.
Pat what about the new Facebook hq and 4000 new jobs there? Huge investment going on in tech here? Doesn't fit your narrative though lol. Have you shat yourself?
It’s a convenient excuse for the septics to hear to evil, see no evil.
Erv ...I’ve switched to my I’m alright jack attitude due to my political leaders ... I’m sure Boris will be caught again with his pants down very soon ... the irony will be if we leave on the WTO terms then I’m sure 1000’s of jobs will go especially in automotive and also in food retail ..Sainsbury’s are culling now ... so who will be to blame for their loss me who voted remain or you who voted leave ..... Ironically they themselves maybe getting exactly what they voted for ...I hope they don’t expect the government to step into help I’m sure the reply will be you voted for this ...As I say Brexit won’t affect me and many on here ... We are alright Jack but many others may not be and like most on this right wing forum will not give a toss about them.... however you may give them some lip service ... why because it’s not affecting us and we will be ok ... Read this quick before LTI reports me
Yes water vapour is the most abundant green house gas you've been listening. You inhale it with every breath. It's 90% of green house gases and absorbs IR on a far wider spectrum than plant food. You can't demonise water though ppl aren't quite that gullible lol, so invisible plant food (co2) at 0.04% of the atmosphere is a far easier victim.
Sounds like you have been inhaling too much water vapour. Careful, you might over-heat, lol.
Bumblebee you don't think having g trade policy decided abroad and a 320 BN clinare levy on consumers doesn't affect businesses? Why don't you go to a safe space where your Greta style child's ideas aren't challenged.
Really Boomer? I thought this was a private Brexit Party and climate change sceptics chat site. All the prejudice you could hope to harvest in an afternoon of unfriendly banter.
I'd go so far as to say equity release is an abomination. Charging 4.4% on a 100k rekease will amount to 240k 20 years later. So you've left most of your house to a bank rather than loved ones. I'm sure government is for this kind of stupidity though.
ERV I said to Mrs Boomer exactly the same when I saw an ER ad. It's the next big scandal. Banks shouldnt be there to steal ppls inheritance. Sadly other mortgage markets are saturated so they are chasing fat margin here.
Precisely Boomer, correlation not separation. It's the what is classed as "off-topic" - in this arena - that I find the most interesting , as we all do our own homework on our choice of investments. You, for example, inspired me to educate myself on certain subjects, on which you clearly demonstrate an immense wealth of knowledge. Shared knowledge imv is a wonderful thing and what makes the world go around, as the majority of us don't live in boxes. On topic'ish? I reckon the Equity Release malarkey will be another ppi, in the years to come. Have you noticed how much it is being plugged? That and the interest only mortgages being offered as some sort of solution for the older generations, spell trouble down the line, imv.
Correct erv. The moderation is rather arbitrary and moronic. Lloyd's buidnrss is 2/3 degrees of separation from just about all these topics and anyway I'm interested in what ppl have to say on matters. This is like a pub where the theme is Lloyd's but topics related to lloyds and that affect the sp discussed too. If everything has to be directly related there ain't much to say it becomes like the PAG chat boards frankly. Lloyd's is a fairly dull retail modern day version of a 3 6 3 bank there ain't that much to say other than speculation on the final ppi bill.
Good evening to you LEVIS - as we (certainly you and I/many) are global and your location is ahead of the UK - please remind me? 7-8 hours? Funny old world isn't it? The hypocrisy and living in a box stuff is beyond belief at times. As for any matters considered to be off topic ... well. If it didn't apply in the coffee houses of yesteryear, then why on earth should it apply in current "switched on" times? This space is imv the modern day equivalent. Clearly there are some - leftists - whose views differ enormously... jeez, if it's OK to display your true colours in hoping that 1,000's lose their jobs ... beggars belief, but then for those of us who don't associate with the "I'm all right jacks" of this world, it would - beggar belief.
the last one touched a nerve...
