Good points livestock.
Don’t tell Snige these are going to 80p + Boomer or he’ll accuse you of misleading Lloyds investors lol
BoomerBower
Lloyds sp was 89p back in May 2015 with no divi or buybacks, hope to see 80 to 85p next year 2020
With some bojo magic
2227 I'm waiting for 80p to 85p then I'm out.
2227 I'm waiting for 80p to 85p then I'm out.
A share price of 90p equates to a P/E ratio of around 12 for Lloyds, which would be fairly price IMO.

I've never heard of this good read you have a point Boris is good mate's with trump he's likes the zero interest rates and a trillion dollar stimulus plan. Seems to work in the US
Thanks
Hey Wids, just saw this. Best wishes for your recuperation. The NHS are amazing, doing so much...with so little and under such stress. A BIG thank you to all NHS staff, no matter what creed or colour, the UK loves you.
Wids,
Mega off topic ,
Since you mention your travails with NHS , in the last few yrs , three of my men's partners have become qualified nursers , just goes to show with the right mindset goals are achievable !
As for our American cousins , whilst working for Motorola in Bathgate had this American gentleman called John McGuire , who would turn up to work wearing a suit, to work on a production line . He asked me one day about my Military background and then I asked him about his . 3 tours of Vietnam with 82nd Airborne , 3 heart attacks on account of incubating tropical diseases and returned to his roots as wasn't eligible for any further medical cover in US .
Until folk work and live in Foreign lands , regardless of where they might be , you won't appreciate how fortunate we are in this Great Nation of ours. !!
BTW, Boris better deliver on the NHS
Hi John, slowly on the mend. No peeping through keys for awhile - thanks for asking.
About 15 years ago an American friend of mine who fought the Japs in the Pacific, came up to me and started poking me in the chest....he said in typical American fashion.
Listen here Mr, don't you ever ever complain about your NHS. In the US they want your 16 Digit card number or they'll step over you - trust me. He was treated for suspected heart attack. I replied I don't!....never been inside a hospital.
Since then I have. It seemed I was treated by every nation on Earth in 2011. My last day saw nurses from India, Turkey, and nurse from Guangzhou China. I was only in Guangzhou 3 months earlier - bizzare.
Recently first eye op by an Aussie. Second op by a Greek and Polish surgeons. The anethnatist Egyptian, and nurse who gave me a cup of tea English.
NHS = Jewel = Respect
This share will go back to trading TA like it always does .....You may or may not believe in the TA trading - but ultimately its like a self fulfilling prophecy....
Disappointing with the closing price ...
@ Livestock.
From experiences that I've seen with my holdings, when shares spike like this, it is usually due to to the perceived stability politically, which inspires confidence. This often settlers back to similar sp levels once the markets have got used to this, hence why I think there will be a retrace. Not by much I don't think, but I think this will happen because of this.
Nothing else materially has happened here, which warrants an RNS. There has not been a sudden massive surge in net profit for example, which has caused the spike in the same way that nothing else has changed with other holdings of mine for example. Stagecoach for example, one of my holdings has jumped 18p today. No magnificent RNS there to warrant such a jump. Marston's, my other holding, same as here up 6p per share.
It is my guess, as I've posted already is that I believe that it is based on the perceived stability politically, So in the absence of spectacular RNS's stating anything else or different that's why I'm at that conclusion.
Of course I could be wrong, but I just don't see it. Unless you have another theory???

That is the end of ur beloved regime. Accept and move on.
Matters need to be sorted - thanks to the obduracy of the remainer intransigence. Good to see the back of the traitors who stood as INDs or Libwhats.
If u are a grown up accept ur punishment - and no more crap - and that means XLM - I will be all in - and Saga.
I look forward to my quarterly divis next year - may profits grow with increased divis also.

Wids,
I take it Cornea has been repaired bud , I assume thanks to our great NHS !!
We live in the best nation in the World !!
John, talk about enlightenment, Mrs Wids is trying to drag me out to the festival of light tonight.
I opted to marzipan the Xmas cake instead.... Woo-hoo!
I see Pat has reported posts to thought Police . Countless deleted in last hr . He must have enjoyed yielding truncheon against true Democrats . What a sad individual !!
Wids,
We have provided Enlightenment for yrs now .
Puzzles me how some folk mistake lloy Bank with lloy of London .
Agreed Wids. I will be flabbergasted if there is a rate rise next week. Growth is low. Pound starting to recover. No rate rises for a good while yet.

"Lloyds rate rise
Next week bank of England meets with results from central banks stress tests of the high street banks. With the uncertainty of the UK economy lifted the odds strongly favour the MPC increasing rates on Thursday, this will be good news for lloyds as it can increase its profits on the banks loan growth"
Really?...like they did in the US?
Be careful what you wish for. We live in a world of low rates Zirp Nirp. To think otherwise your off your rocker.
exactly so Taverham, I have been in that same place but have also seen so many AIM stocks move up then collapse with only a small chance of ever recovering, I could have sold in profit but got greedy only to lose out days later, I remain optimistic, I hate to sell at a loss, but as profits increase elsewhere I may just do it to cleanse myself of the AIM drug and then stay well away, it has been an expensive lesson and I am determined to get off AIM with as little damage as possible. Whilst a bit boring, the money I have lost over there could have given me a decent income and much less of an emotional rollercoaster.
Good luck with your investments.
Fomo is deadly. I have learned to sit on my hands now and watch. Thats what shot me with Sirius. I’m still in it because of Fomo. If and when it heads North.....
RMR, your strategyn mirrors my own , Problem is , for me a bit of fomo creeps in and my aim addiction gwts fed from my main market profits. Frankly most aim shares only benefit the directors imv.
sorry to hear that, I assume you mean Sirius, investors were royally stitched up there. Have a few of my own disasters to be honest, trying desperately now to extract myself from AIM as profitably as possible and pump it all in FTSE 100 and 250 market with dividends between 5-7%, plenty about, if only I had understood that earlier and had adopted a proper investment strategy, currently looking at £30k dividends per year from my portfolio but should really be closer to £40k if I had invested more wisely, still at least I learned and now have a strategy to follow, need to be so disciplined though. I need to work on selling at highs and re buying on dips, even with the big boys there are opportunities to do this, this is my next focus.
Best of luck recouping your losses. Today surely helped!
