To say that 4 tonnes has been shipped is a dangerous assumption. All we actually know is that two shipments have now been made, the first of which was 1 tonne. In short, we shareholders are indeed mushrooms - kept in the dark by the BoD and fed shit. God only knows what is really going on in Namibia. It's enough to make me buy a plane ticket and go and see for myself.
So 4 tonne shipped with more heading over the next quarter. An indication of next quarter numbers would be good as it is getting rather annoying being treat like a mushroom! However it does sound like positive developments have been made and a continued production of the higher quality product does show solid mine strength. GLA
deliberately being withheld IMO , i wouldn't even trust the year end results. kenv management seem a bit of a law to themselves . todays RNS is a fudge but definitely not a reason to sell here. love to stand in front of them and ask why?
As the heading states this is an Operational Update where the company are not obliged to release any financial figures, these will come later in the year whether it will be November or December. Going by the previous dates for the year ending results : 2013 : 24th December. 2014 : 14th November 2015 : 23rd November 2016 : 19th December. However in Todays RNS ;KENV state that a second shipment of industry leading high purity tantalum has been shipped to Aftan's customer with a third and fourth shipment to follow. The RNS continues to state The plant upgrades and improved processes have resulted in the NTI mine now producing tantalum grades at the specification required by its end user Then referring back to the RNS Multi-year Agreement Mon, 17th Jul 2017 this was stated :Aftan has booked sales to the Customer of 1 tonne and will be shipping 3 tonnes imminently, so I'm assuming that they (KENV)are meeting to their clients demands in both quantity and quality. However what we must remember is that the year ending is June, and most of the supplying/shipments have happened after this date, but IMO it would be beneficial to all investors for the company to disclose the future values of these sale/revenue figures in this prelim report.
No
I enjoyed reading today's update. I'm particularly happy about the visit of local schoolchildren to the mine, and I hope it will encourage them to study science and engineering. But now can we have a proper RNS, with production figures, sales details, dates, numbers, and hard information about the future development of the mine? After all, we shareholders only own this company...
The plant upgrades and improved processes have resulted in the NTI mine now producing tantalum grades at the specification required by its end user - a leading manufacturer of electronic components.
