@ob: South of!! ummm
indeed :-)
as I said the other day, I don't think Eldorado have any intent to restart ops at Vila Nova & their clear willingness to sell supports that.
It might however be of great interest to someone restarting an operation close by once all the hurdles to do so are crossed.
still just some ramblings eh :-))
More of a light bulb moment maybe Ban ;)
...personally I'm not giving Umamgen any credence for shipment currently for the reasons I've already given .... non starter in my opinion so not wasting my time on it........ although one thought did cross my mind....... if Eldorado found someone to sell it to in Nov last year 'pending' finance .... who suddenly found an interest in Iron ore in the region around that time & initially indicated shipments to start back then & might already have had expansion plans in mind but haven't been able to follow through yet because the original plans & time frames have been delayed to ............. now???? hmmmm long shot way out in space somewhere or a penny drop!!!!
Wouldn't any other purchaser of the mine struggle with the transportation of the ore without our railway and port ?

"Divestiture of non-core assets: The Company completed a sale of a net smelter royalty interest held on a property in Turkey for consideration of $8.1 million, of which $5.0 million will be settled through the transfer of an exploration license and the balance to be paid in cash. Subsequent to the quarter, the Company also executed a share purchase agreement for the sale of its Vila Nova iron ore mine for consideration of $9 million in cash, subject to the purchaser securing financing and other standard closing conditions."
They would have disclosed by now
The Vila Nova project - owned by Unamgen Mineracao, a wholly owned subsidiary of Eldorado Gold

I presumed you'd found it @MLQ. Isn't it the site ~38km (by road) West? Easily seen on google maps, and then you can zoom in further using the other map.
@md: What I haven't found yet is Unamgen's mine and stock yet..There is a small stack in Cupixi..
Their website states its 38 km away and if its 38km north then its right on top of our mine...(OR) is what we've
