Once again read through the annual report for 2019. I would recommend it. What a great future we have, a very experienced BOD. A lot going on with IB. I’m very happy with our company. AIMO GLA.
Strange on LinkedIn, David Smith‘s back ground does not state any involvement with IQ-AI ?.
@Blowntobits - Well DS came in when IQAI was still FlyingBrands, wasn't it?
And my question remains - to anyone willing to answer, was DS leading tenaxis when it was sold? Was he instrumental in the much-hyped $178mn sale? I think these facts are very much available online for anyone who wants to verify.
Re : David Smith. You seem to know a fair amount. If he had not been appointed who was there in the company that might have been able to steer to the present position?
Stone Checker was of its day a great development (and still is of course), but he had the inspiration to see Imaging Biometrics was likely to do better in any company sale. I do recall a video where he was pressed on possible sales of the company, he responded to the effect that as a big shareholder he was aligned with smaller shareholders interests.
Flying Brands, well having been a holder from way, way back (who had many years of very acceptable returns above my original stake), I suggest that the changes in VAT being charged and increasing competition in flowers and plants by post, it being shown to be a money maker, caused a terminal decline as well as some bad decisions of the then boards. I do not recall seeing David Smith as being part of this.
Your post was interesting to read and then spoilt by that sentence, Flying brands died because it could not compete, its various business ventures, ill thought through and probably overpaying for goodwill. Once the AGM is out of the way I am sure there will be news, conceivably even the sale of the company entirely (not that I want that, I am a buy and forget investor).
Would never had guessed that with your first post!
The problem is David Smith from what I know. DS was brought in couple of years ago and was paid large monies the company couldn't afford - DS was then instructed to cut costs to make way for his remuneration, which he was glad to do. In the process, he chopped all ongoing works on SC and made the company Imaging Biometrics and US centric - killing all business development processes in the works. How do you sell without anyone trying to sell?
If i'd to guess, he's the brains (or the lack of) behind the SC fire sale - which by now, due to his actions, has become a non-performing liability.
In the current climate, brain tumors and kidney stones are no longer top priorities, so expect this statelessness to linger on.
Before we hail DS, have any of us vetted his claimed victories from the past?
Here's a glimpse of the RNS from when he was appointed: "David has a 30-year history of successfully building life sciences businesses in Europe and the United States, including Biocompatibles plc where he initiated the ophthalmology and cardiology businesses in a period that saw their sales grow from zero to over £40m pa, business development for Carl Zeiss in which he reinvigorated their mature ophthalmology capital equipment business to grow more than 15% pa resulting in sales in excess of £150m. In addition, the foundation of California based Tenaxis Medical, where having raised $22m from investors David led the company through product development, built a strong operating team, achieved regulatory approvals and secured the company's first sales. Tenaxis Medical was sold for $178m in 2014. "
My question to DS is - Were YOU at the helm of Tenaxis when it was acquired? Probably not!
I feel it is DS who drove FlyingBrands to the ground. How else would you explain stellar regulatory approved products, distribution deals signed, yet a market dud?
Please feel free to share your thoughts on this. I'm out of this!
As far as we know he is still a consultant though I don’t think they would need to announce if he has ceased consultancy. But I suspect he was carrying on with the stonechecker sale and wouldn’t be able to discuss that to any detailed extent
Morning everyone, am I right in thinking DS is a consultant to the company? So yes you’re right he could still be the face of IQAI. Perhaps they need some more proactive interviews, otherwise with so much going on in the markets we will lose our forward momentum. GLA it’s Friday, have a good weekend.
have been re-watching DS interviews, looking at the product road map, and timescales of revenue generation.
I feel that DS brought the 'face and voice' that the company needed, and indeed hope that post the general meeting either him or someone similar takes up this mantle again.
in regards to the road map it appears they are now in the harvest stage, and this is a great time to invest as we head to the market and increase the influx of cash flow.
the big thing that C19 has highlighted is that being able to mass review data and patients, given the vast population growth we have seen since the 1970's is of massive benefits to all, and IQAI have the tech and solutions to provide this essential service.
Hi Claire. I think if it is a material development they have to issue an rns. Ergo a tweet is a marginal point?
Otherwise I agree with you entirely. I do miss D S fronting though. He was so down to earth. And I believed him. Hope I was right
i believe that releasing any official information on the state of the company has to be correct, otherwise it is market manipulation and fraud.
As such we can assume that they do have a partnership starting.
Alongside that in the tweet they hashtagged a number of brain orgs, they are trying to push the message wide.
Now if we can get a roadmap of every main CT usage region and IQAI being set up we will be moving to consistent run rate business and adoption.
Then if they do sell Stonechecker this should financial the company to avoid any more debt and then the run rate business will mean good profit and funds for new research.
I am very optimistic about this company, and by the end of the year start of next them moving into a very strong position with the stars aligning.
Surely they would not tweet unless they were fairly certain?
Evening everyone. “Pending partnership”, we are not sure it will happen. Wait until we know it officially. RNS at some point. Seen this many times before. Great future, patience is the key. GLA.
I see it. No RNS. Only rumours. GLA
this is good that the price has not risen so fast with the latest partner news, stopping a bubble and giving a more true worth of this share currently.
Also very good to clear out the people that will not hold longer-term (3 to 6 months), and helps the price to rise higher platform.
the company is now turning from burn to profit, and can see the next year the price could easily go up to a sustain level of the high check on the FDA Stonechecker announcement.
Hold, but shares while low cost, and understand that the tech has massive market potential
My only reservation is that if it was such great news why was it not rnsed?
And down she goes even with all that great news ! Crazy as so much to offer
that didn't last long ...

I think it’s a case of 10%ers today. True dawn ? GLA
