High hopes for our new man just hired ! Think of all his contacts ..
Since yesterday everyone is coming out the woodwork- oh well just don’t fall in love with a share use opportunity’s to win atb . AS you know with any share one minute up . I was 3000 up in two shares last week and only had two days now 800 up don’t take nothing for granted . Profit taking never leaves you poor . I wished I took my 3 k and bought again or made freebies
Morning pacman, of course there are exceptions where it has been favourable. Just saying that, in my experience, it never has.
Obviously, just held the wrong shares. :(
And, also, sold the wrong shares in some instances. lol
Morning Si, I was holding Dragon oil back in the nineties, consolidation was the turning point as far as market cap goes. Noticed by the big boys! Bought out by Shell if I remember correctly. I'm all for it, just happy to keep topping up at these low prices, can't see this holding for long, once HW get moving and noticed. GLA
Spud,
Obviously I do believe that the institutional investors moved in at 0.3p in expectation of a return, but as I have posited prior, I would expect most of them to bail long before the share price approaches 1p, never mind 2p. Of course, the act of bailing will send the share price back down again, hence my previous reference to the yo-yo effect. Different institutions will work to different parameters, but I would expect some to start to move at 0.5p, if not earlier - a 67% return in what could (hopefully!) be a short period of time would satisfy their clients.
*that held.
And 2p would give a Mcap of £74m.
Personally, I've never held a share where a consolidation has worked out in favour of those the held. It just gave more room to take it lower.
An equivalent sp today, in proportion to last years high and allowing for the enlarged issue, would be .53p
Any share consolidation won't change the mcap so don't know what you mean?
Can't see this getting to 2p until H&W revenue and profit revealed. Bwtfdik
Should i hold off buying then until share consolidation has been done?
Speedy,
I trusted JW, the BOD and their 2019 plans and look where that got me!
You suggest a return to previous highs in 2020. I will ignore the 98p high back in the early days, that would be preposterous, but let's wind back the clock a short 12 months - do you really see a return this year to 2p+ (I agree with Spud that this was a false spike, but JW was bragging at that time, so let's stick with it), given the number of shares now in issue?
Quantum
You are ignoring the strong possibility of decent revenue generating contracts from H&W
Ok BP
False spike to 2p
Delay in equity partner
Placing at 1.2p
No EU grant
Realisation of only draft marine licence
Baseline studies req
Raising equity at lower and lower levels
Bridging loan allowing H&W acquisition
Massive dilution to fund acquisition
Riverfort conversions
Been fairly crap tbf lol
But IF you believe the II invested at .3p expecting a ROI this is a great opportunity to average down
Don’t forget there are +600m shares of the 2bn placing that are not accounted for from the TR1s of the IIs. Someone got those shares at .03. There has been no news at all about who took the 600m shares in a placement. My guess is that whoever got the +600m will be part of the constant selling. Also a bit confused as to how and to whom those +600m were issued. All this said, I am a believer in the business proposition overall and remain positive. Would just like the funny happenings to be clarified.
Blair peach. The last RNS should clarify all the reasons for the SP drop, if you've read it? If you trust JW, the BOD and their 2020 plans we should see a return to previous highs........the question is how soon?
Because markets are driven by sentiment. Why else? Eventually the fundamentals catch up so I'm not worried. It's like Buffett once said, the stock market is a mechanism to transfer money from the impatient to the patient
Why has the share price collapsed over the last 12 months?
Oops........https://www.gov.uk/government/news/deal-to-see-restored-government-in-northern-ireland-tomorrow#history
This can only be good news to advance both Brexit and NI / UK economies. No doubt decision making at the highest levels with regard to infrastructure, funding will benefit IMEL and H&W.

Maybe just wishful thinking but maybe not........the NI gov "Stormont deal"press release features 6 pictures on the cover, one is H&W and another shows a harbour with a ship in the background. How intriguing!

Agree - why sell at this time? My 1.5mn top-up is showing nicely in the red (dead!) sea! GLA. Nice weekend.
Good stuff Speedy. BTW - selling must be significantly Riverfort if they have around £250k left to ditch. I cant see why you would otherwise be selling big chunks at a point where H&W Contracts and Marine Licence are realistically just around the corner.
Time for another top up people.....

It seems JW's words quoted below, from his last "Final results" RNS, are about to proven true. Apparently Stena Line has scheduled 4 ships scheduled maintenance/refit commencing Jan 14th........"Hip, Hip, Huzzah!"
"As we enter 2020, we are extremely excited about the opportunities which lie ahead of us. Not only will we be delivering the FID for Islandmagee, but we will be securing new contracts at Harland & Wolff, to build our revenue and to return this globally renowned brand to its former glory."
There are none so blind as cannot see.
To read this BB makes it almost difficult to believe that the SP is , more or less , where it was at the beginning of December despite the fact that INFA has acquired a ,(so called to date,) revenue creating asset.
The faithful posters put the poor SP performance down to Riverfort. But who made the decision to deal with Riverfort ? No prizes for the right answer!! And how do we know the selling is all Riverfort related. And who,s paying the high maintenance costs of H&W while the shareholders are awaiting fresh and spectacular contract news?
It's good to see faith but not so good to see a narrative being peddled which may not be correct.
By the way the SP was .56p on 1 October. I wonder when we'll see that number again!?
All loans have to be paid back somehow and if that means shares so be it.
I feel lowest here will be 0,29.25
