Hopefully not the one when he put 6 past Northampton Town.... (FA Cup)
Hi Hairy,
Have a good weekend, hopefully next weekend the poem of choice won’t be ‘Not waving but drowning’, unless of course we are drowning in dosh.
Regarding football we could do with that George Best moment here, some of you will be old enough to recall the incident.
In the end though it’s only money.
Good evening Brisk and Luke,
Optimism is good when mixed with literature and good prospects. It lightens the mood and gives a reason as to why the poem was written in the first place.
Fingers crossed for positive news before the end of the month.
Football tomorrow chaps ,
One of my sons is a semi- professional player.
Don't get me wrong, it will be golf early on but hey, ho the things you have to do as a dad .
C'mon ye Reds,
Hairy Futtret
Good evening Swin,
In every share there are the 5% traders . Personally , I can see their desire to make a quick quid but i really can't say it's the way to do it if you want a company to succeed.
To reiterate from last night, we all want to make a profit but its medium to long term i am interested in and hence in a portfolio of companies as i am pretty damn sure they won't all spike at the same time.
Best thing that can happen is the traders sell and the price keeps rising.
By the way chaps have you set a high sell limit on your shares as to discourage short selling?
Look at how the Reddit brigade mobilized and did exactly that. Gamestop are still $185 tonight ;).
Some of the youngsters across the pond seem quite smart
It may be an idea to study their patterns.
Enjoy the weekend folks,
Hairy Futtret
Mayfair,
Without the persistent seller over the last 2-3 months we would very likely be well into double figures now. Its a moot point whether selling volume now holds VWAP down much if we really are close to the equity transaction.
Luke - “If” is my favourite poem and very much applicable to the situation we are in!
“Yours is the earth and everything that’s in it” yes please!
We know what’s in it….we’re just on the way to getting it out! Haha.
Have a good weekend all.
Brisk
These things are not my strong point... but big sells at this price would drive up the VWAP... as is still higher than some buys over the preceding 5-7 days? Or do i misunderstand the calculation?
Not many more days of this to go hopefully, dust off your copies of Rudyard Kipling’s ‘If’.
If they're trying to suppress VWAP then will probably try to hit the closing SP in last 15 minutes today with some chunky selling....I agree, its baffling as to who else would sell in quantity only a few days from expected news....
Gringo,
One thought on the sells is a stakeholder from the last offer, maybe CIBC, is using their existing stock to keep a brake on the share price. One reason could be to suppress VWAP for the equity portion of the finance deal, it's hard to imagine other reasons at this stage of the game even for distressed sellers.
By contrast the company twitter feed has been fairly obviously trying to push VWAP up lately.
If so it begs the question how close the ties are between the investor and the company if they are working at cross purposes like this.
Most of the potential scenarios are good for PIs, once the deal is in place and the brakes come off there should be a sharp rise in the price.
2 x 500,000 delayed trades were more than likely sells based on the other trades around the original times. Maybe more to come out in the wash but steady and upwards!
I think there is a big sell clearing (why on earth!) as MREX have only been buying at 8.2 all morning but selling at 9.2. All other MM's are much higher on L2 so if this is true once MREX clear the price should move a fair bit higher. Then I could be completely wrong?
Hoping next week will be everything we expect. Just topped up for final push.
I'll talk about the large buys with you ...i think its a great sign for good news on Monday .
yo why is nobody taking about these big buys.
its freaking huge trades coming in since morning
quite a lot of £5000 £10000 £20000 buys today.
great to see decent size chunk coming in
reckon somebody or partner is scaling in?
