John4242,
I did not claim such authority.
You were clearly wrong with your opinion about this company as we have seen with todays update.
Now learn to spell my username correct or don't expect a reply.
Slith you presented as someone more knowledgeable on hmi simply. I found that unjustified and provocative and pointed out your nous was lacking on oilies that you claim to be a authority on.
John4242,
Why do you keep referring to me here? I was simply providing my opinion based on research. You seem triggered for some reason.
Regarding Hurricane - Yes, I took a loss although not quite a disaster. But I knew the risks when I invested there. You win some and lose some.
safe to assume sliv u had a disaster with hurricane eh
we ll see who is right but people on this board have much longer memories than you smith
Slith sorry mistook some posts on hmi, seems yours in general were ok though site managers are not very relevant. Did you make a profit on hur and paper profit on tullow may I ask ? Look like basket cases with that debt.
Like i said, go do some research.
I'm not going to do it for you buddy.
"Well done with hurricane energy and tullow"
Thanks! I'm not invested in Hurricane, but Tullow is a great investment :)
"Your research has produced a grand total of 3 posts on hmi."
Funny, 3 posts and already ahead of you.
Have a good weekend.
Slitherin , Well done with hurricane energy and tullow ;\ . Your research has produced a grand total of 3 posts on hmi.
A general manager called fredrick ? How many do they have in a site that has done virtually nothing
for several years apart from churn out waffle and get into deals that fell flat?
John4242,
Well.. Frederico is a general manager at Harvest Minerals based in Brazil.
And regarding offices, I'm going of the info provided by harvest :)
Maybe do some research? :)
Slift that's just waffle you're churning out about site managers and offices. For all the good we hear they might as well have nothing like that.
I always thought the accounts and reports were done by that slightly plumping rounding 50ish lady with pinz -nez glasses and cake and tea stains on her blouse. I must have a fertile imagination ..
TSAE,
Yes, you are right in terms of site manager for the plant, and Harvest probably does have a site or a general manager to run each of their sites.
But it's a bit more complicated with Harvest, isn't as straight forward as having a site manager that reports to Brian McMaster.
Harvest has three offices, one in the UK, one in Australia and one in Brazil. The site managers and most other members of staff is likely located in Brazil. Brian McMaster on the other hand is probably located in UK or Australia.
Right now, he has taken on board the financial and operational duties. He will be the one responsible for the annual accounts/reports.
As there isn't a director or similar role appointed to replace Dr Heyhoe, it's likely that Brian has also taken this spot. Yes, there is a site manager in Brazil, but there still a gap currently (that is, if Harvest wants to grow).
The role of a COO is to look at the operations on the wider scale (in Harvests' case, this would be the Potash, Phosphate and the KPFertil projects).
I think i'm going to skip buying in before the results/trading update.
Good luck to those that are in here.

Hi I think dr hayhoe was mainly brought on board to help present the technical side of the mine and product to the various government departments that issue the certification and licences ,it seems he's moved on maybe to fill a similar post ,who knows. id think they maybe need a site manager to coordinate the men on the production line and probably 2 sales managers to oversee the sales staff they probably have supervisors and stuff like that as well. I'm retired now but most of the company's I worked for just had a company director and a general manager the workers and the office staff . just a thought mind stick with the program .
I've been following this company for a while.
I have not made an investment due to the issues of COVID affecting this company and also cashflow for the company through sales. From my research, it seems like Harvest have had some sales in Q3 so far. How significant i'm not sure.
Also very positive that the expansion planning has come under budget and is on time.
I would make an investment, but i'm not too sure how the business has been doing since June due to the lack of RNS. Afterall, Harvest would have issued an RNS to indicate anything that may have material impact to the company's worth (including sales agreements). Which so far we have not had many since the last Trading Update.
Also noted from reading this board that some were expecting an RNS to indicate the resignation of Dr Mark Heyhoe.
I don't think Harvest was required to issue an RNS for this resignation. Whilst Mark Heyhoe was the COO of the company, he was not a member of the board of directors.
But my question is regarding Brian McMaster and his future plans for this company, or peoples' thoughts on his future plans for the company.
Being the chairman, it seems like he has also taken on board operations (followng resignation of Mark Heyhoe, the former COO) as well as financial duties (following redundancy of David Edghill, the former CFO). Although there are general managers and other members in the company that have the experience to provide the support required for these roles.
However, I don't believe that the company can really grow with just one man overseeing the entire company. With the lack of directors, this company is primed for a takeover.
What are peoples' thoughts/opinions on this? Will Brian McMaster expand the team and bring on board new directors to take on the tasks as the company grows? Or will this company just be taken over?
ALL IMO.
Slift.
