Taken a bite for isa 32.7p not on the list, given the recent RI and technology, Leonardo, etc well worth buying in variable upside back to the 50-60 mark, thanks for the additional info Trurotrader
Hi luderitz, The turbine blade testing is currently with the French electrical generating firm EDF and is centered on water droplet erosion on steam turbine blades. Each turbine has hundreds of them. The new larger reactor on order will allow coating on longer blades plus aircraft landing gear parts - it's all in the future at the moment. My only concern is the ability of Hardide to get to this future. All fingers crossed!
Trurotrader - thanks useful information, having been O&G I wonder if the gas compressor turbines take theese coated blades, Rolls Royce and Nuvo Pergoni are two that spring to mind, on one location due to humanoid operational damage we always had spares in transit, but they were manufactures blades, despite the cost most plants have compressors and they are critical whatever price oil is! yes I will do some more reading, all i had dome was read back some of the earlier RNS to get a feel for the company. aim to buy in as an opportunity arrises.
Hi luderitz, if you look at the company history and background you may well find answers to your concerns. Yuri Zhuk brought a single product to the UK after the end of the Cold War. It now has some 5 variants all of which are patented. The disadvantage Hardide has is that the reactors cost the best part of a million and have to be housed along with pre-treatment lines. However once up and running they have few moving parts and last many years.
As for profits, well they have constantly invested in the business and constantly improve and develop coatings. Nothing about Hardide is quick. Most new customers take about a year on average from initial enquiry through to testing and 1st orders - however Airbus took some 9 years and we're not quite there yet! This, conversely, is in fact a barrier to entry for any competition.
It now looks as though we can get through to year end September and will have new UK premises plus a total of 8 production reactors plus a dedicated R & D and testing reactor. At full chat probably around 10 Mill revenue with a high profit margin. Airbus should be a growing revenue stream for many years and the Turbine blade business could have an extremely valuable future which will protect us from the volatile O and G industry. One other positive - Hardide just doesn't give up it just keep going where others might have folded. Well worth a bit of research.
Pity to have missed 16-35, however from reading up a few things are of concern, the mamagement offer themselves too many option at not a challenging price - ie too easy, apparently never made a profit, however I do like the product, so will watch and hope for a better price, feel sorry for thoise RI in the 60's. If this was discovered at the Russian Universty I wonder who else has the expertize! GLA waiting for another mid 20 something GLA
From 16.25p to 40p in 2 days is truly gobsmacking, my average is 36p so my bunnyness has never been happier! Up to the end of February we were at 60p hopefully we won't drop back again.!
Interesting that the "core customer" has requested that trading assurances were required which seems to indicate a certain continuity of business. If we did £3 Mill in the first half then even allowing for a slow down we may well achieve last full years figure of 5 Mill.
Hi Smartyboy, Is the thinking that the lack of flights makes them focus on other thing then?
Looking very positive imo, the lack of flights might even hurry up the process
Seems my previous doom and gloom last week was a little overdone. Providing we can complete the move to the new premises on time and on budget AND airbus approve the new facilities then maybe this years figures may not be to badly effected. By next financial year the whole situation will be clearer. Hard chrome still needs to be phased out.
Feeling better today!!
Bargain basement at these prices. Would be good to see some Director share buying...
Hi. This seems a very positive update to me.
Just because aeroplanes are scaling down flights doesn't mean they are scaling down planning for the future of which Hardide is in a very strong position to benefit from.
The price of oil has lowered significantly but probably not forever. Could be a downturn in business later. Just depends on how significant that will be.
The move is still happening but maybe slightly delayed. I can handle that.
Regards RRG
