Russky, who were you on III? I got in at 11.5p originally, a few weeks before they announced the big hit. I stumbled on Gkp after reading a post from a worker on the first drill. He had found out that the site manager had bought $250,000 worth of shares before any disclosure of a big find. I only bought a few initially as I thought it was chatroom BS!! By the time it got to £4+ I had enough to retire on. If only I had sold when Kozel did. :(
Yes me
Road this from 13p in owd money. Got out at c£1.2 in owd money after the rise. Back in we a smaller value
No that was CJ...
$63, wasn`t that Oilman? He was a bit of an enigma at the time, always claiming to have inside knowledge. Is he still around? I have not interested myself in Gkp for along time although I still have my shares. Looking through the avatars I recognise Highlander as well. Are there any others from III on here dating back to the £4.50 days?
I do indeed...
Wasn't that Mr $63?
I don`t know how many of you were around at the time but I remember a post on III many moons ago that has always stuck in my mind referring to a "Chinese takeaway". I can`t remember who mentioned it but I have always felt that they would eventually end up buying the company. Opulentia, you were certainly around at this time but it was many years ago now. Do you remember the post and where it came from? It caused quite a stir at the time and helped bump the sp up quite a bit too.
I'd suggest, if anything has been agreed, IF...it would have been done a year or two ago?
Wont be based on today's SP or the oil price...not on a 50 year field.
Personally , I think China are in a strong position to broker such a deal, they need the asset , they have the expertise to rapidly develop the field , and lastly they have the cash,
with boots already on the ground they are ideally postioned, imo

Antharry, the big obstacle has and always will be the Controlling Barzani family , the MNR who like brown envelopes?, and the KRG -Iraqi Governments all fighting over control ,
would need the influence of a Global top tier Governement like China-USA-Russia to come up with a deal to satisfy not only themselves but the KRG-IRAQ , when you have an asset that can supply huge quantities of oil for 50 plus years, its not an easy solution to unravel and keep everyone happy,
right now we have a puppet Management running the day to day business, but it won't continue for ever,
GLA LTH
Because the owners aren't selling this their milking it and not even paying for it,why sell it ?
whoever eventually obtains GKP either through buyout or deceptive measure will know they are going to control production of an oil field capable of producing minimum of 100-150K BPD for the next 30-50 years , even at low oil of $40 , you can get your calculators out and work that one out !!!!!! its a MASSIVE asset , that no one seems to value when you look at GKP current sp, Why?????
Wrong
Wrong.
The CPR is included in the FDP not the other way around and it is a separate stand alone document.
The FDP describes future plans for production as well as a summary of potential project issues and risks .
The CPR could be issued any time.
I Always remember the famous words of our resident Chief Geoligst,
"HUMUNGOUS " Never seen anything like it in all his years of oil discovery,
that says enough on how big the asset is
GLA LTH Back to work now , have a good day everyone
Correct.
Mr Ferrier has no reasonable excuse for delaying issuing the updated CPR and its a valid question to ask as to why he hasnt.
Perhaps someone could send an electronic AGM question as to why not ?
We can't get an updated CPR until the FDP is approved and Ferrier has failed miserably at every attempt of getting the FDP approved
any of the above could be possible, we are currently around cash value ATM, the real asset is under ground and no one is prepared to update the resource after many years the CPR is clearly due an update which has been long over due, now they have years of production under thier belts, but NO! they are quite happy to sit on the reserves and hold this information for the privileged few, and we still haven't touched the deeps!!!!! leaving it their for someone else to benefit for further Upside
GLA LTH just another day on the GKP bb
