Hi Troublesome
Thanks for the article.
Absolutely frightening of the total neglect in these particular foreign care homes! Terrible situation.Hard hitting indeed!
Can relate to that entirely, being in Qatar myself and my Mrs back home Nursing. GLA.
Yes better than being kept in the dark, mushroom.
There are always lessons to be learnt and lessons that should have been learnt much sooner.
My mum is in a care home for dementia patients. Most, including her, are elderly. My dad has had a stroke and also has some breathing problems.
If either of them contracts this virus they are almost undoubtedly finished. I can do nothing about it because I am abroad and in lockdown myself, not that that feeling of helplessness would be any lessened by being in the UK.
What odd times we live in. What has this to do with GGP? Not a lot but watching the price leap about on webull and reading the thoughts on here is a welcome distraction, as well as encouraging me to learn more about the industry, company, physchology of the investors and even the odd conspiracy theory!
High VS,
Who really cares ?

Troublesome, what you say about 'the cull is certainly thought provoking!
Read in Private Eye that Ebola and Malaria is more deadly by numbers of deaths than Covid by some margin. However, as Covid' s existence is based on replicating will we get to a stage where it becomes the deadliest of all? That vaccine cannot come soon enough.
It might.....
The fact we are all still posting means we are very very privileged....
Unemployment in America is frightening.....
Great news that Boris is out of ICU irrespective of any of our politics....
My wife is front line NHS... so our family may be vulnerable
Have a good Easter weekend all......... Rup
I don't believe anyone could be so callous as to deliberately manufacture a virus designed to take out certain sections of the community (In this case, older people regardless of their social status). Cue ValleyComando to put me right....
Not to mention over-population.
Maybe the virus is enabling a cull to take place, especially of those in the lower socio-economic groups most dependent on aid from the state and generally a drag on economies.
Sinister !!!
Good point applegarth - hence my final comment in my previous point- "its never easy". I can't help think the reduction of all of this travel and less pollution must be a good thing for Mother Nature.
Deserttrader...i kind of understand that but it don't make sense. How then did the planet survive before the industrial revolution? The answer is simple and i suspect the BBC program and their miltitude of fake news experts haven't figured it out. The planet's ozone layer has been depleted, which protects the planet from the sun's radiation from the billions of tons of carbon dioxide gases put into the atmosphere over the last 170 yrs. In part the earth is compensating with the ozone being replaced by dust particles. The weather becomes more unstable with more dust storms from the deserts, which in turn adds to the effect of shielding us from the sun. If fossil fuels are reduced significantly then over time the ozone belt replenishes itself so replacing or healing the layer of ozone which would do a more natural job of protecting us from global warming.
Dust storms only fix the atmoshere temporarily while once the ozone is replenished it becomes s permanent shield from the sun.
Not to mention all those prior waste of space media news stories about full to bulging emergency NHS departments. Where are they now?
applegarth - actually there was a report on bbc world news last night if am right. It went onto mention that as there was less pollution, there was less particles in the atmosphere which actually the meant the strength of the sun would find it easier to get through, thus potential for the planet to warm up further. Its never easy!
Same as when the Iceland volcano erupted and aircraft were grounded. Weather was gorgeous.
I have noticed that since the covid outbreak in China there has NOT been any significant weather disasters ie major storms massive floods. Except i believeva tornado in the mid west.

Could the world wide lockdown be helping the planet to mend itself with fossil fuels usage now drastically cut. Airlines and all other forms of travel and the shutdown of millions of manufacturing and retail outlets must be saving the planet with the saving of thousands of tons of gases from reaching our atmoshere. The planet is getting a well deseved rest and nature seems to be saying THANKYOU and about time TOO?
I reckon scientists are already trying to figure out if this is having any effect especially if their is a miniscule halting of the melting icecaps?
Anyone else noticed a more stable weather system world wide?
